I JUST found out BEN BAKER made it out of all the thousands of entries for the Nrl rookie they only selected 200 people from Australia and New Zealand to take part in the next step the trial to be one of only 200 people..! well done to former group 6 player

The rules for applicants to NRL rookie are very restrictive:

1 Never played a game in NRL or been in a top 25 squad

2 Must not have played a game in Qld Cup, NSW Cup or NYC between 2013 and 2015.

After Camden has announced their two latest signings, with June 30 coming up are there any other clubs that have players they are about to get over the line? Or is that it, what clubs have got, that's it.

If so my prediction is a Camden vs Picton Grand Final.

$1.01. Secondary GF will be in the Minor Preliminary Semi to see who wants to run 3rd. Both teams are a long way out in front in 15.

Does anyone even really care about 2015 anymore? Seems the forum is dead because the comp is dead. Picton and Camden running a different race this year. If Appin sign Faaoso they are incredibly dumb because the Top 2 will still lap them and they'll do their cash for nothing.

Well looks like we will get it then!
As rumour has it Woodo has put all the money
Into first grade and the reggies are on zip!
Doesn't really appeal for a team that needs to build
To create more depth.!

Reggie's haven't been getting paid at any club for years... If you wanna get paid, play good and get picked in firsts.

We don't pay reggies. Most of the boys just love the game and playing with their chinas. I know Camden was paying $60 a win back 2011-12 and that helped them turn that grade around. Not sure if they still do.

Sorry I probably didn't explain my self correctly..
What I was trying to imply is if I was trying to build a club
I would try and make it appeal to every one $50 a win for reggies
Wouldn't be to steep with a max cap of $500 a season, I think you'd
Be very surprised to see how much more respect you'd receive and
Dedication they would put in.
I can't rap my head around the fact that all this money is getting poured
Into first grade when we seem to forget about the blokes busting there
Backs in reggies for squat.

Interesting debate chipper. I see your point. 20 players @ $500 a throw= $10,000. Thats two very good G6 Rep class standard players for 1st Grade team; which means Reggies get players 16 & 17 dropped into their team.
It's chicken or the egg. What has to be avoided at all costs but is the, "I just play reserve grade" culture of blokes who won't back up for 1st Grade.

I'm hearing a lot of talk that Camden are deadset certainties to beat Picton
Game is at Kirkham, it's old boys day, and Camden are in hot form. Once again Picton sitting undefeated at the top of the Comp have managed to get the underdog status, just how they like it

Dunno about favouritism or not, but what I do know is the old cliche of a game of two halves was in play.

Picton 12-4 at half time and should've been more. Dominated the first 40.

Shortly after half time two front rowers (Weir Camden, Mariner Picton) sent off for fighting (very very loose description) and the whole game changed. Ironically Weir was outstanding in the ten minutes leading up to the send off. Then, Camden fired up and Picton died off. The Borgs, Browne, Campbell, and Cashmere thrived. Well deserved.

As the first round game though, it's hard to take too much out of it. Picton were without Lett, Taylor, Carroll, and (maybe most importantly) Dengate. Big Kenny, well off the pace in his first game back. Mariner showed enough in his 30 minutes or so that he could dominate the rest of the season if he has the opportunity and inclination. Benson Tupou was awesome in the first half, but seemed to not get enough minutes in the 2nd forty.

Cashmere m o m. 80 minutes, 21 hit ups, 45 tackles. It pretty much saves you 1 or 2 interchanges having him there playing the whole game. Machine.

hey guys, my first time posting. Ive been reading these posts for a couple of years and never seen anyone from the Warragamba club on here. thought id be the first. Bit disappointing in the lack of numbers our 2nd division side gets to games. Ive been to watch them a few times and they got some decent players this year but so hard to compete when no one turns up. They have a good spine of 1,6,7,9. The 7 apparently played in the Penrith first division and is a pretty good prospect of building the club around. And with most of our 18s side coming up next year things might be on the up out our way.

was at the Camden vs Picton game on the weekend and the send off's for 'fighting' were a joke group 6 has become very much like the nrl with the no punch rule you tend to see a lot of Hero antics from blokes who would otherwise be keeping their mouth shut a few years ago! just for Abit of banter who would be the best fighters in g6 I've got a few off the top of my head big George Peterson from Narellan, current mma heavyweight champ. I would suggest big cashmere could throw a few? pretty sure Rodney Merritt held a few a amature boxing tittles, jake fellows like wise? Heard a few war story's about donny Thompson, Sione kite from thirlmere as well. and hands down the best of them all little tommy brown playing reserve grade for Appin former Australian champ, can blue
