Just call it like I see it! Eagles ragged on wests then group 6, last year declared themselves world beaters wen all they had was hoare and dunley. Last weeks drubbing highlighted that they have nothing without those 2 and it will be exposed again this week wen Belrose put the cleaners through them. Hoare was the captain coach for last couple years.A lot of ppl taking credit for the success of two blokes.those two are gone the others are still there if it wasn't all hoare and dunley results will prove it!! |

Good news for the Eagles after the very near mutiny on Sam Hoares fb page earlier in the week. Wonder how Ben Baker felt about the obvious insinuations the round 1 loss was his fault? Frosty week at training I bet For what it's worth I think the Eagles will do well this year without reaching the heights of last year which is no crying shame. Their biggest strength last year was being led around the park by two seasoned pros in Dunners and Hoare in a competition that is effectively somewhere between a RMC reserve grade and Colts. Without those two they still have big strong outside backs and a tough bunch of hardened forwards that will keep them there or thereabouts for the majority of the season. Probably won't win as many of the tight games without Dunners AAA+ kicking game and Hoares peerless ruck control at this level though Edited by Taco, Mar 22 2015, 11:45 PM.

Went down to watch the All Saints boys trial game V Minto yesterday. Coach Alan Fry has announced his retirement after this season and a few of his old protegee's from Bulldogs have come on board for his final shot. Although a bit scrappy, there were definite signs of a good year ahead as they demolished Minto. They have a trial next week against old rivals East Campbelltown at Hillier next Sunday and after Easts good win against East Hills should mean a great test of things to come for both sides. I am hearing rumours of quite a few wests sides putting their hands up for first grade this year so that in itself is good thing for local Rugby League. |

East Campbelltown Eagles Media Release 23-03-2015 East Campbelltown Eagles 26 defeated Belrose Eagles 20 Feathers flew at Waminda Oval when East Campbelltown Eagles took on highly ranked Belrose Eagles in the NSWRL Round 2 of the Sydney Shield Competition. The guys from the north shore posted first points 9 minutes into the game when Adam Saunders found a hole to score out wide and Corey Murphy converted to go to an early 6-0 lead. The Campbelltown boys replied the best way they now how when flying winger Craig Moustakas scored in the corner and Bakers kick waved away. Belrose scored again when Adam Saunders bagged his second for the day and Belrose stretched their lead when Corey Murphy Converted to go 12-4 up. Campbelltown’s speed man was giving plenty of grief for Belrose and Amanono Tovio was next to cross and Ben Baker converted and this was shaping up to be an awesome game back at 12-10 to Belrose, Right on the stroke of half time when a Sean Connor break seen Chris Standing back up to score under the post, Baker converted that seen Campbelltown hit the lead for the first time and go into half time 16-12 up. East Campbelltown scored first after the break when a piece of Ben Baker brilliance seen him put through a grubber to score under the post and convert his own try and see Eagles go further ahead 22-12, the game was physical and both teams putting their bodies on the line and Belrose struggling to break the Eagles up the middle found room on the outside to score in the corner to Andrew Halstead, the conversion was unsuccessful and it was again a 6 point lead to the Campbelltown boys 22-16. Captain Sean Connor took some pressure of his team when he crashed over the line with 10 minutes remaining and Bakers conversion waved away and the Eagles led 26-16, with 4 minutes left to go Belrose scored out wide through Phil Domjen to bring it back to 26-20, Feathers flew when Belrose player Shannon Cameron gave Eagles half Chris Standing a late shot that seen the Campbelltown boys fire up and giving the strong vocal crowd a exciting finish, Cameron was sent to the field and Eagles finished winners 26-20. Coach Richard Barnes said, ‘It was a fantastic effort, the guys played for each other and it gives us a good platform for the season, it was hard to pick a man of the match when every Player played so well, Belrose is up there as one of the best teams in the competition, so it’s a great victory for our boys today” Best for the Eagles where Guy Thompson, Mason Talolua, Ben Baker and Sean Connor It was a very good day for all the Senior Grade when the A Grade had their first hit out defeating East Hills 38-12 and the 19’s also defeated East Hills 24-8 A Grade East Campbelltown Eagles 38 defeated East Hills 12 Under 19’s East Campbelltown Eagles 24 defeated East Hills 8 East Campbelltown Sydney Shield Team will enjoy the bye weekend as the A Grade and Under 19’s, will take on All Saints this Sunday at Hillier Oval, The Under 17;s will play East Hills on Saturday at Smith park East Hills. |

Please don't write garbage! We went into round 1 a little unprepared, we are happy with our 9, 7 and 1 and just need a little more upfront which we have signed, we still had 6 players not cleared yesterday and that should give the added strength needed, Baker was brillant yesterday and Sean Connor stood up leading the team around, Da Silva played hooker and when Reece came on changed it up which was a good mix. Everyone rid us off last year, so happy to have us ridden off this year, it's fuel for the fire! Edited by ECERLFC, Mar 23 2015, 11:43 AM.
