Welcome to season 2016.

2016 Coaches & Teams:

Appin: Corey Ruttle (non- playing)
Camden: Scott Borg (Captain-coach)
Campbelltown City: Drew Dalton (non-playing)
Mittagong: Mark Thomas (non-playing)
Moss Vale: Robbie Payne (non-playing apparently)
Narellan: Paul Matthews (non- playing)
Picton: Gary Dowse/ Bryce Poisel (non- playing)
Oakdale: Jason Hazelton (non- playing)
The Oaks: Mitchell & Matthew Brasington (Co- Captain- coaches)
Thirlmere: Lopini Paea (Captain-coach)

2nd Division Clubs
Robertson, Warragamba, Bargo, Bundanoon, Bowral, Mt Annan, Picton, Narellan, ?Oran Park?

The initial questions:
- Can Picton become the first club in Group history to win four straight premierships?
- How will the Camden Club bounce back after the humiliation of Grand Final Day?
- Can The Oaks continue to build momentum on their Top 3 2015 finish?
- Who will win the power struggle at Narellan between importing a team every season, or producing local kids as the core of the club?
- How will Appin fare with the loss of its core playing group, now that the initial enthusiasm of re-entry to the competition abates.
- Will Payney get Moss Vale into the Top 5 in 2016, after a fine rebuilding year in 2015?
- Can Mittagong arrest the slide and rebuild its 1st Grade team into a Top 3 contender?
- Thirlmere. Last year's players, committed, plus the Trotters= a Top 3 team everyday?
- Campbelltown City. Is this the year the sleeping giant awakens?
- Oakdale. Is Jason Hazelton the man to rebuild the roster and put the platform in place for a new era. Where are the numbers coming from after the mass retirement of the core of the premiership winning Reserve Grade team?

Orana, after 2 years back in first grade our most important thing this year will be to build a core for the club . We need to have U18s !!! if we don't its too difficult to remain competitive in this comp year after year. Yeah you can buy a team but its not the best for the longertivity of the club.
We will be fielding teams in 1st , reserves and u18s for 2016 season.

I drove past the ground the other day Rob, even something simple as having a fence now has given you guys longevity. So important in G6 to have a fence, the reason why Mt Annan couldn't continue, imo, an awful imposition on volunteers to put up and take down every game day.
Breaking news is Lopini Paea, ex- Roosters and Les Catalans, has been appointed captain-coach of Thirlmere, with David Greene expected to take the Chairman's position.

Good decision by Narellan if they have given the job to PM. Played a year under him and am sure he will get the best out of the joint.
Any other player signings or retention yet?

Looks like the import policy for narellan again. With the woodo bandwagon rolling back to narellan no doubt flanno n co will be in tow!!! Ddnt work at thirlemere or Appin won't work at narellan with those boys another year older!

Could be an opportunity for ctown and Appin to pick up some talented juniors who have had enough

Blake sutton signed with mossvale.

What is happening at thirlmere for a Sutton to leave ?

A lot of teams seem to be moving with signings this year. I think it could be a very closely contested competition in 2016.

The City Club can confirm the reappointment of Drew Dalton as our Head Coach for 2016.
We are taking expressions of interest in the Reserve Grade, Ladies' LeagueTag and U/18A coaching positions. With a vast number of our U/18As heading into Grade in 2016, we expect our Reserve Grade to heavily challenge for premiership honours, so this is a plum coaching role.
