Interesting to see the group team will be selected from the preseason. Will be a very underwhelming group team with not many of the teams putting there best sides out until at least Sunday next week to have a crack at the prize money |

With you only a short drive away from Campbelltown it can't be that hard to attract enough players for all three grades? How can East Campbelltown have 4 senior sides plus be cutting a fair few due to the roll up for players to travel all over Sydney yet Appin for some reason struggle to get a 1st grade side. As TC said, build a solid base and work from it, I'm sure a few of the blokes from Reggies could handle 1st grade. I remember Mt Annan getting touched up every week in 99 or 2000 and still turning up every week. Some blokes hung around the club for years until management of the time stuffed the club! |

After 2 years back in first grade you should be fighting tooth and nail to stay. If you exit this year it will be a long road back. Take advantage of the start that Woodo gave you guys and wear the few beatings you may take during the year, because The eventual victories that you do get will taste so much sweeter. |

I fail to understand how sending a team out to get beat by 60-90 points each week is good for the game, the comp or Appin ? How would that help them attract new players. More likely to make them fold for next year altogether. A first grade side does not have to win games, but they need to be at least competitive. Just my opinion. In saying that Rob has stated there is plenty of money to pay players at Appin, but nobody is chasing that cash. I wonder what the problem is ? Edited by Footy59, Mar 11 2016, 07:26 AM.

In fairness to rob, he stated at G6 meeting the other night that 22 players was the max he had for any session thus far in 2016. Appropriate that they go 18s/ Reserves in 2016, but 2nd Division beckons in 2017 if they can't raise 1st Grade in 2017. Concerns were raised at the meeting of Appin doing a 'Valley 09' on the Reserve Grade premiership. Rob allayed fears and said they were mostly last year's Reserves that ran 6th. Two of our U/18Bs from 2015 have hence signed there, and they wouldn't make our reggies. Out of interest Rob, are you paying your Reserves in 2016? Edited by Orana87, Mar 11 2016, 11:12 AM.

Orana, we are paying a small sum per win only, but fines apply for no training etc. on another case we are still struggling to raise enough troops for U18s. |

Cashy had a run v Narellan, which was a big boost to all in the Club. Easily the dominant forward on the field. We took 2-3 first graders, a fair few reserve graders and a few triallists. OzTag carnival decimated our 1st Grade ranks, as it did with most clubs. The knockout has cut into all Club's trial schedules this season, so it supplanted for that for us. We poleaxed an underdone Appin combination but Narellan had a bit too much for us later on. We're happy with how we are shaping up, just lacking that one senior experienced guy at 6/7/9 to steer the ship when things get heated at points during games. |

All Kangaroos are keen to play Camden, Atilla It was one of the CRL's earliest and most bitter rivalries 1910- 1983. I still remember how happy my Dad was when we flogged them 40-nil in the second round game of 1983.
