Yes he is, he has signed a contract to the Eagles for 2016 but if he makes NSW Cup he will stay at the Bulldogs, but if not he will return to us, but as always if Ben makes it and we hope he does, we have a plan B

On the club front, it has exploded with players and talent for 2016, we have 3 Senior Sides, Sydney Shield, A Grade and 2nd Grade, with a very handy 19's and 17's, sadly we may need to cut or put a 4th senior team together, our 2nd grade has 37 players listed. Great for the area to attack such good numbers and talent

East Campbelltown Eagles started their 2016 season but it wasn't the result they where looking for. With the return of players from their 2014 Premiership winning team, Wayde Dunley, Sam Hoare, Sama Sauvao, and Michael Stevens that played in the Eagles undefeated Group 6 Premiership Clayton's Cup winning team, the Eagles are looking strong contenders for the 2016 season.
Belrose had plenty of early possession and 5 minutes into the game scored first points to go 4 nil up, Eagles responded fast with a try to Jarryd Eggleton and Ben Baker converted to go 6-4 up, Belrose hit back with a converted try as a few easy mistakes crept into the Eagles game, Belrose score again to go to 16-6 but that sparked the Eagles as they fired up in defence, The Eagles hit back with two tries, Ben Baker was first to cross then Mandella Faleafaga to level up the scores at 16 all at half time.
Second half seen the Eagles having to defend and it was an incredible effort as they defended 10 sets of six on their line, before Belrose crossed for a try, to go to 22-16, The Eagles hit back to level the scores again at 22 all, but with 4 minutes on the clock, Belrose kicked a field goal to go to a 23-22 lead, Belrose finished off with the try on full time to win the game at 29-22, coach Richard Barnes said" I'm please with the guys efforts, the defence we had to do today was a huge effort, In very hot conditions"
Macarthur's most successful club the East Campbelltown Eagles will take on Asquith this Sunday at Waminda Oval, at 2.30pm games on all day Junior and Senior with entry price of just $2

Media release Round 4

The East Campbelltown Eagles travelled to Windsor to play the wolves in the Round 4 game in the NSWRL Sydney Shield Competition, the Eagles started off flying and it didn’t take long for hooker Jarryd Eggleton to score next to the post with a Baker conversion, the Eagles put another 3 converted tries to Fusi Toutai, Sean Connor and flying Craig Moustakas to race to a 24 nil lead, the Eagles perfect half was overshadowed with a try on half time to the Windsor club to go into the sheds at 24-4

The Eagles started a bit slower in the second half that gave the Wolves a sniff with an early try to get the score back to 24-10, but a great try to Ronny Palumbo and Baker kicking superbly stretched it to 30-10. Windsor replied with two tries in what was a very entertaining game to get an exciting last 10 minutes of play at 30-22, Michael Stevens was sent in the bin for 10 but that didn't stop the Eagles from scoring and closing out the game when Moustakas bagged his double, Baker missed the last attempt of goal to finish the game at 34-22

Coach Barnes said he was happy to walk away with the win, Windsor at home is always tough, and our boys played some really good football.

Man of the match went to Jarryd Eggleton and other good performances from Guy Thompson, Mason Talolua, Craig Moustakas and Sam Hoare

This week's game is against Auburn Warriors this Sunday at 2.30pm, the Eagles is proud to announce it will be a huge super Sunday with 6 senior games played on two fields at Waminda Oval, Entry $5

The high flying East Campbelltown Eagles took on the huge side from Auburn Warriors in front of another large local crowd at Waminda Oval.

It took 2 minutes for the Eagles to score when Ben Baker found an opening to score for the Eagles and he converted his try for a 6 nil lead. The Eagles were in again when big Fred Tevega was hard to stop near the line and crashed over for a 4 pointer. The Eagles looked unstoppable and when Fusi Toutai scored out wide they ran in a 14 nil lead, Auburn stepped up the attack and was rewarded with a two tries to bring the score back to 16-10, just before half time the Eagles scored again as big Fred Tevega got his double for the day and the Eagles went into the sheds with a 20-10 score line

The game was at a very high level and very entertaining for the locals as the Eagles started to run in tries, tries went to Craig Moustakas, Wayde Dunley, Jarryd Eggleton, and Fusi Toutai got his second for the day, Auburn ran in a couple of late tries but it was no threat to the Eagles as they run out winners 40-20, Ben Baker Kicked 4 from 8

Coach Richard Barnes said "that was a tough game, Auburn is such physical side, the score line didn't reflect the game. we are lucky we have the week off because Auburn has given us a few injuries"

The Eagles next home game is in two weeks on Sunday the 17th of April, the club will also celebrate Life Members and Sponsors Day, The Eagles take on St Marys at 2.30pm, games from 10am
