PWInsider reports that World Wrestling Entertainment recently motioned for summary judgment in its ongoing legal battle with The Warrior.

According to the report, WWE feels that Warrior has yet to provide any factual evidence of defamation or a violation of past contractual agreements in the “Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior” DVD
and believes the case should be dismissed. WWE contends that it portrays its truthful opinion in the commentary and thus cannot be defaming Warrior.

WWE further argued that Warrior is simply using the case to “quibble” over his termination in the 1990s.

Interestingly, there has been a recent surge in rumors regarding an Ultimate Warrior Hall of Fame induction. As of this May, Warrior had been considered “off limits” for an induction, but the feeling is that it could indeed happen if the case were put to bed (whether dismissed or settled) in the next few months (especially since it is in Phoenix). As long as the case does not end to WWE’s satisfaction, however, Warrior fans should not expect such an induction.

Warrior has personally said that he is not interested in an induction, but the wrestling business is one in which parties who claim to hate each other often find ways to reconcile.

I was never a big Warrior fan, and I've never seen the DVD. So I can't really choose a side here.
I just hope they figure out the situation soon.

In my opinion though.. the Ultimate Warrior should definitely be in the WWE HOF. He was a HUGE star back in the day. And a big part of the WWF rather they like him now or not.
