Backstage Issues with Jeff Hardy

Earlier this evening ProWrestling.net and PWInsider.com posted conflicting reports about TNA management having concern for Jeff Hardy backstage at Final Resolution today.

WrestleZone has confirmed there was definitely "100 percent, no doubt about it" concern this afternoon over the condition of Jeff Hardy backstage at the TNA "Final Resolution" pay per view.

"TNA had a decision to make this afternoon. Either send Jeff out to the ring, knowing the example it sets, or send him home and do damage control," a key TNA insider told us, "they are keeping him because that's the damage control they came up with."

Jeff's condition backstage, which was described as "another You Tube video ready to happen" is ironic, considering he is scheduled for his next hearing on several drug charges this Wednesday in Moore County, North Carolina.

“I’ve learned that periods of darkness can overcome us at any time.
But I’ve also found that I’m able to endure. Overcome. And in the process grown stronger. Smarter. Better.”

This is why WWE has fired him twice, TNA needs to make him go to rehab.

Jeff is just fucking his life up the way he is going, he just can't lay off the drugs. If he continues he will end up previous wrestler who died early due to drug problems.

Yeah I know, that is why I think he needs to do some time....

I think it would do him a world of good.

He needs to clean up his act, maybe if Matt joins TNA that might help keep Jeff clean.

In regards to the news that Jeff Hardy was almost pulled from Sunday's TNA Final Resolution pay-per-view and stripped of the TNA World title due to his condition backstage at the show, there have been some online reports that Hardy showed up "hammered" to the event - we can confirm this is entirely faslse.

When Hardy showed up to the iMPACT! Zone in Orlando, his condition did alarm a lot of people. He was said to be very run down and tired, leading many to speculate that his personal demons got the best of him once again. TNA management did in fact discuss removing Hardy from the main event and stripping him of the TNA Championship. The replacement match would have been Matt Morgan vs. Jeff Jarrett vs. Ken Anderson for the vacated title, with Matt Morgan being the most likely candidate to walk away with the gold.

Hardy met with TNA management at the show and assured them that he was completely sober and was simply exhausted from his recent travel schedule. Hardy had been flying across the world (literally) since the day after Thanksgiving. In the past week alone, Hardy arrived back in the United States (Atlanta) after returning from TNA's live tour of the Middle East (U.A.E.), flew home to North Carolina for a day, then flew to Michigan for a live appearance late last week and then finally arrived in Orlando just hours before Sunday's pay-per-view.

Hardy was telling people backstage that he was extremely tired from the traveling, but his appearance upon arriving led many to jump to conclusions.

Jeff Hardy retained the TNA title on Sunday is not expected to miss this week's television tapings, where TNA will film the final episodes of iMPACT! for this year.

Something stills seems odd about it all, waiting to see if anything else happens in the comming months. It seems like some of the backstage talent arn't happy with Jeff either way.

Update:

Source:wrestlinginc.com

Apparently in response to online reports noting concern over his condition backstage at last week's TNA Genesis pay-per-view, TNA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Hardy issued the following statement this evening on Twitter:

"AllThaTalkAboutLastSunday.... forThoseOfYouThatBelievedThoseWords... f--kYOU!!!!SoWrong...SoWrong!!!!!I'm bustingMyAss2 helpTNA... Period!!"

"Can't StressEnough... ifYouBelievedThoseWords... f--kYOU!!!!!"

"ThaStoryIsDead... becauseitShouldHaveNeverBeenBorn!!!SoWrong!!!!!"

Bill Behrens, who coordinates independent bookings for several TNA stars including friends of Hardy's such as Shannon Moore, offered additional insight into the reports on his weekly podcast by stating that organization officials have allowed Hardy to wrestle while impaired. He also said that it's considered an "open secret" within the company that Hardy still uses drugs.

Shortly after the report surfaced, Moore coincidentally said on Twitter, "Don't you love it when a friend fs you over."

Jeff isn't the only Hardy brother upset with the "dirtsheets" as Matt noted the following on Twitter this afternoon regarding his appearance last night on Monday Night Mayhem:

"BTW, The Scumsheets always cover MNM, the show I was on last night. They didn't today.. Why u ask? Cuz I call them out on their bullsh*t.. The reason why they don't give me publicity.. Cuz they don't want my voice 2 be heard-So RT this-"THE DIRTSHEETS FEAR MATT F'N HARDY!" :) RT"

We stand by our original report.
