a car with a tall windshield, like on an older van or a boxy car, can make a repair tougher to get out. you usually won't encounter a problem on a smaller or even medium size repairs, however if you get a large repair on a windshield that's almost straight up and down, you are working against gravity getting the top part of the repair out. the bottom should come out easily, because the resin wants to fall and the air wants to rise, but the top part of the repair is trickier. a little bit of time is usually all it takes, but if you want to help it along, try getting the front wheels of the car higher in the air than the back wheels. if you can, park the car on a hill, get the front wheels on the top side of the hill and that will level out the windshield, and the resin won't have to climb so steep of an angle. even a little bit helps.
