Spaz, I am the
Skymark Ruler
The Irises were a Race that came before all others. Some say the very first Irises created Skymark with their Outer Elements, and that they had previously lived on a floating rock platform. The legend goes that they formed the platform into flat land, and added onto it with the help of the Spirit Outer Element, which could conjure up Spirits of Nature. The Spirits of Nature added onto the platform at their master's will, and soon Skymark had been born. The Irises constructed the Nature Spirit's creation into what they believe a suitable living space - one larger than the orb called the Sun.

The Irises have always been said to be distantly related to the Angelics because of the Angelic's power to use the Outer Elements with their Irises. Only few Angelics could control the elements, and others could control them almost second to how the Irises could.

The great ability that made the Irises so special was the skill in which they could produce Outer Elements equal to the color of the iris of their eyes. This gave them the ability to use their Outer Element in certain ways. The color chart would look something like this:
Quote:

  • Gold - Light
    Black - Darkness
    Gray - Twilight
    Violet - Image
    Light Green - Spirit

The ones with gold irises had control over the Outer Element Light, common to the pure hearted and brave. They could heal in amounts near to ressurection, however only one Iris was said to have been able to ressurect. They could also perform the summon of a protective type of forcefield. Light Irises could enchant only animals, such as wolves, rabbits, or snakes. When they did, the animal's fur, scales, or bristles turned golden, and they automatically gained loyalty to their master. They kept personality however, and were permitted to enter their master's mind. The Iris could command the guardian to guard another person at anytime as well.

In Angelics, Gold irises were quite rare and only given to few. However, nowadays, the blood line is running so thin there are barely anyones with controllable Iris abilities at all.

Darkness Irises usually turned out to be mischievous and troublemaking, as well as a bit malicious. The simple Darkness Iris could merge with shadows around them for stealth, and even become darkness when they felt. Many of these Irises chose to be assassins because of this deadly ability. Darkness Irises could also persuade someone's mind into loyalty, quite different from the Light Irises. They could bend a wolf's will till they must act on that certain Iris's terms.

Darkness Irises also had a very good sense of accuracy, and usually wielded bows and dagger. They wielded these because daggers were so small that they could be planted anywhere to land a hard blow. Bows were fatal themselves because of the Darkness Irises's accuracy.

Twilight Irises were never very common, and still aren't today. To give birth to a Twilight Iris, a Light and Darkness Iris must mate. Even if they did, it was still uncommon to get a Twilight Iris, unless they are born at twilight itself. And to add to that, the Light Irises and the Darkness Irises hated eachother because of their opposites. Many believe this is why evil is always quarreling with good, because of how the Irises set it up that why.

Twilights are very lucky though. They have the abilities of both the Darkness Iris and the Light Iris, and can use some of their own abilities. They are usually more mechanically minded when it comes to ranged, and prefer to use a gun instead of a bow, or possibly they would use a crossbow. Twilights can also sends off harming fogs at enemies, and can leave an enemy blind from their mist blinding technique.

The Image Irises were the rarest of their kind, able to imagine anything they dreamed of up within reason. It is said they asked higher beings only they were able to contact, such as the deities before the Irises that roamed the cosmos. They often loved art, always drawing things that they could make come true when they felt. This was also a wonderful skill in battle.

Most Images had their own choice in weapon, because they were able to think it up when they wanted. However, to imagine up something they must have a base for it. If they wanted a shining silver sword, they must first have something that will be the same shape and form, such as a long stick or staff. The Image Irises are unique compared to the others because they do not really depend on Outer Elements. Little really believe that Imagination is an element in itself, however it is one we can all have, just not harness.

[background=black]The Spirit Irises had the special ability to conjure up Spirits similar to high deities. They were said to be guardians of their names, a saying that meant that a Nature Spirit was a guardian to all nature. They willingly attribute to their summoners, the Spirit Iris, because they are glad to be summoned by someone with such skill. They believe that if you can conjure them, you are truly a master of the Outer Elements.

Some Spirits are harder to conjure than others, and can take time to find and use. Though conjuring takes some skill, you can also call upon the generous Spirit, the Spirit of Wisdom. The Spirit can help you with suggestions and advice if you need it.[/background]
