Supreme Goddess Of All Things Bright And Shiny
|
Milk it for all it's worth. Make sure you get there first. The apple of your eye. The rotten core inside. We are all prisoners. Things couldn't get much worse. I've had it up to here, you know your end is near. You had to have it all, Well have you had enough? You greedy little bastard, You will get what you deserve. When all is said and done, I will be the one to leave you in the misery and hate what you've become. Intoxicated eyes, no longer live that life. You should have learned by now, I'll burn this whole world down. I need some peace of mind, no fear of what's behind. You think you've won this fight, you've only lost your mind. You had to have it all, Well have you had enough? You greedy little bastard, You will get what you deserve. When all is said and done, I will be the one to leave you in the misery and hate what you've become. Hold me down (I will live again) Pull me out (I will break it in) Hold me down (better in the end) Hold me down. You had to have it all, Well have you had enough? You greedy little bastard, You will get what you deserve. When all is said and done, I will be the one to leave you in the misery and hate what you've become. Heaven help you. Lyrics to: Had Enough Preformed by: Breaking Benjamin ***************************************** Vindico quod Solvo Records Room 42-A ********************************************* Archer walked down the hallway towards the records room where she knew that Andi was. She unzipped her windbreaker half way and raked her fingers through her hair. The building was empty for the most part. There was a meeting that would be starting soon, one that Andi and her had been asked to attend but she knew that Andi wouldn’t be there yet. She was trying to reach the small band of Preachers that they had left behind to guard the weapon. That was Andi’s biggest problem. She was a good leader, a great leader, but sometimes she lost track of time. She raped her knuckles on the door and waited. As she did she looked down at her boots, tapping the edge of the toe on the floor, small chunks of dried mud crumbling off the edge of the sole. “Come in!” Andi’s muffled voice cried from inside the door. Archer opened the door in time to see her throw the screwdriver across the room with a groan of frustration. “Something wrong?” She asked closing the door behind her. “I can’t reach the others,” Andi said leaning back in her chair and looking up at the clock. She let out a long sigh. “And now I’m running late, again. Did they send you to come and get me?” She looked at Archer and smiled, letting out a small laugh. “No,” Archer replied. “They didn’t, I came here first.” Her eyes moved over to the case with the trillium in it. “I needed to talk to you.” “What about?” Andi asked folding her arms over her chest. The meeting could wait. Preacher business was far more important than the little revolution that they had going here. It was impressive that they’d managed to take the whole facility, but Andi’s eye was on a bigger prize. Andi’s eye was on cleansing the world. “Did we get enough?” Archer asked nodding to the case. “For the weapon, did we get enough trillium? I mean, I noticed that the latch was broken when we were running from the plant,” Andi nodded. “Don’t worry Archer, we’ve got enough. More than enough really, probably close to… three times the amount.” “Good,” Archer said with a smile. “Andi?” She asked walking over to her tapping the case on the floor with her foot. “I’m sorry.” “For wh,” Andi’s last word cut off as Archer slit her throat from behind. Arterial blood arced through the air, spattering over the table top and radio that Andi had been working on, hitting the wall several feet away and blood bubbled from her mouth as she tried to talk, tried to breathe, blood coursing down her throat into her lungs even as it flowed out of her body. Archer let go of Andi’s hair as the last of her life slipped away and she wiped the blade on the dead woman’s shoulder casually. She was just a human after all. Archer slid the blade back up her sleeve, locking it in place before bending down and picking up the case. Laying it on another table that was free of blood she unlocked it, looking inside at the softly glowing trillium. “Perfect,” she said with a smile and snapped the case shut again. Now all she had to do was get out of here. Picking up the case she walked over to the door, stopping dead in her tracks as it opened and Dimitri walked in. He wasn’t a half breed, he was a full fledged Elite, twice her size and immediately his eyes went to the blood, and then to Andi’s still form. It was that brief moment that cost him. Archer’s wrist flicked and the knife dropped back into the palm of her hand. Her arm shot up, the blade digging into Dimitri’s gut from groin to neck, and he staggered forward into the room past her, his innards spilling out onto the ground from between his fingers. “It’s really too bad,” Archer said “that you’re not with us. Helping the humans,” she shook her head and slid the blade back home again. “You could have lived. Good night, brother.” She walked up behind him as he fell to his knees and grabbed his head giving it a hard twist to the side, breaking his neck. Prodding him with a foot to make sure he was dead she grabbed some paper and wiped the blood off the soles of her shoes and then picked up the case again. As though nothing had happened, Archer walked out of the room, closing and locking the door behind her and headed towards the exit and to the vehicle that she’d previously prepared. The Preachers purpose had been served. The Reckoning had begun. ****************************************************** The Shining Citadel House of Fraser ******************************************************* “Do you think he’ll like it?” Dani asked holding out the tie at arms length looking at it. She knew he wasn’t going to answer, he never did. She’d tried for the last hour to get him to say a single word but he didn’t. Her guard remained utterly silent and she was starting to wonder if he was a mute. She doubted it, considering that his face wasn’t all that expressive. Her eyes moved to her wrist which she had to admit almost felt naked without the bracelet on. The Master had taken it off that morning giving her wrist a kiss as he did so, telling her that she was free. He’d said that he couldn’t keep her there against her will any longer, if she wanted to go to the Doctor, she could… to which she’d wrapped herself around the Master and kissed him, asking if she could go shopping. The idea of leaving him didn’t even occur to her. “Some help you are,” she said draping the blood red tie over her arm and moving on to jackets. A tie was so, impersonal really and she wanted to get him something meaningful. The problem was, what did you get the man who had everything? She fingered through the black suit coats letting out a sigh. He had so many suits already. After considering for a moment she headed towards the leather department of the store. “Can I help you?” Asked a young man coming up to her, human, a servant or slave of some kind she thought. Her Elite guard stepped up closer to her looking down at him with narrowed eyes. “It’s okay,” she said looking back at the guard with no name. He had specific instructions to protect her, and probably to make sure she didn’t run away, though she had no intention of doing that. Dani knew that she should hate the Master, but she didn’t, she couldn’t. She was perfectly happy with him. “I’m just browsing. Trying to find something… special.” The salesman smiled at her, watching the Elite nervously noting that he glanced at the clock more than once since they’d arrived at the store. He assumed that they were on something of a time table, the Elite guard wore the crest of the Master on his jacket. “Right this way,” he said ushering her towards the front of the store. “We’ve got some of the finest calfskin jackets on the planet. Did you have a specific price range you were looking at?” “No,” she replied fishing into her pocket and pulling out a one inch by two inch piece of metal. “At least I don’t think so, he gave me this. I don’t know what’s on it.” “I can scan it for you if you like,” the salesman offered and Dani passed it over. He took out a small reader and inserted the chip. The reader spat it back out and he handed it back to Dani and raised his eyebrows giving her a smile. “You could afford the entire store, and then some.” “Well then,” she said. “Let’s get shopping!” The front of the store exploded in a shower of concrete and glass and Dani felt herself throw into the air like a rag doll. She felt something hot and wet spatter over her face and small stabs of pain in her arms, legs and chest. Dani slammed into a pillar and she felt something give in her arm. Bouncing off she landed on top of a clothing wrack, the arm snapping under the force of the impact. Glass and concrete rained down around her and the front half of the building collapsed. She let out a cry of fear and scrambled backwards, not even noticing that her right arm wasn’t working properly. There were more important things to pay attention to. A heavy iron beam fell from the ceiling landing where her head had been moments ago and she propelled herself backwards on her behind trying to catch her breath. She couldn’t see anything, the amount of dust in the air made visibility impossible and breathing exceptionally difficult. Sitting still, shaking, she listened, hearing the sounds of screaming, some moans, coughing… she wasn’t the only one alive, that was good. The emergency lights flickered on, the air gray with dust and she coughed finally looking at her arm. Dani let out another cry and hissed in pain as she moved it. Her forearm was broken, but if that’s all that was broken, she was lucky. Coughing she rolled herself over onto her hands and knees and tried to stand up. She made it, but then fell back down to her knees, her head spinning wildly. Kneeling there on the ground she tried to think of what to do. She had to get out of the store, that much was obvious. The ceiling was holding in this half of the store but there was no knowing for how long. There were also a lot of people in here that needed help, including her though she put herself pretty low on the list. Her other hand rubbed the back of her head, fingers coming away slick with blood. “Oh, great.” She muttered and suddenly smiled, seeing her bodyguard come towards her through the debris. “Oh good, you’re alive. Help me up, will you?” She asked holding up her hand to him. “We have to find a way out and help these people.” The Elite guard grabbed her arm and hauled her to her feet with no concern as to her comfort or welfare. Without a word he began to drag her through the rubble, yanking her arm hard when she stumbled, the ground uneven and her legs shaky. “Hey, hold on,” Dani said. “Slow down, I’m not,” her right leg gave out and she fell down to the ground with a thud, her shoulder suddenly hurting as the Elite drug her over the ground not pausing to let her get her feet. “God damn it! Stop!” She yelled at him. “That hurts!” The Elite stopped and leaned down, picking Dani up by the front of her blouse and slamming her into a wall. “Shut up.” “Don’t you tell me to shut up,” Dani shot at him. “The Master,” “Is no longer in control.” He said. “The Reckoning has begun.” He grabbed Dani’s hair and slammed her head back against the wall hard, knocking out the struggling woman. Without a change in expression he slung her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes and exited the building. ****************************************** Vindico quod Solvo Medical Bay ******************************************* Ianto splashed cold water on his face and looked at his reflection in the mirror with a sigh. He’d shot Jack, not once, but three times, in the head… he’d shot Tiny… he’d broken down and said a lot of things that he shouldn’t have said. A lot of things that he’d kept to himself, kept secret, private. He shouldn’t have done it, at least the confession part. He felt incredibly foolish about that. What’s done was done though, he was pretty sure that nothing was ever going to be same between him and the others again. In fact he was pretty surprised that they hadn’t thrown him out to the wolves. He wondered when things had gone so terribly wrong…. Or if they’d always been that way and he’d just never noticed. He really needed to apologize to Gwen. Oh God, the idea of speaking with her, of looking in her eyes… “Ianto?” Ianto jumped and turned around to see Mathias standing a few feet away. Mathias who was so sweet, and wonderful… who he’d treated so badly. He was a horrible person, he knew that. He didn’t deserve Jack. He didn’t deserve Mathias. “Hey,” he finally managed to say. “Can I talk to you?” Mathias asked leaning against a bed watching Ianto dry his face with a towel. The meeting could wait, he had wanted to catch Ianto alone ever since his, well, what everyone was calling his break down. Mathias thought of it more as a turning point in Ianto’s life. He hadn’t broken down or lost his mind no matter what others might say or think, though no one was saying it and he didn’t really think that people thought it, they were just worried. “Of course,” Ianto said folding the towel and hanging it back up exactly as it had been before he’d used it. “Mathias,” “It’s okay,” Mathias said with an understanding smile. “We all have our turning points. You have nothing to be ashamed of. What you said was the truth, as hard as it was for some people to hear. You should never be ashamed of telling the truth.” “That’s easy for you to say, you didn’t just,” “He’s not good for you.” Mathias said looking at Ianto and meeting his gaze. “Jack, he’s not good for you. It’s an…” he pondered the word he wanted to use “unhealthy, relationship.” Ianto looked away, unable to meet his gaze and straightened his tie in the mirror before smoothing his hair back into place. “I know,” he said finally. “But Jack, he’s… he’s like a bad habit that you just can’t break.” He put his hands on the edge of the sink looking down into the bowl and putting his weight on his arms. “You’re a wonderful, special man Mathias.” “As are you,” Mathias said walking over to him. “And you deserve better than that, than him.” He slipped an arm around his waist and kissed the side of Ianto’s neck gently. “You wouldn’t say that if you knew the things I’ve done,” Ianto said leaning back against him. “Everything that you’ve done, good and bad,” Mathias replied “was done out of love. You’ve never meant to hurt anyone, not really.” He rested his chin on Ianto’s shoulder and their eyes met in the mirror. “It’s time to let him go, Ianto. You love him, I know that, and you’ll always love him because that’s just the way you are… but I love you. I do,” he said pulling Ianto around so that they were facing each other. “There’s no knowing, what the future holds, for either of us. You want to set the world right again, and… and I don’t know what will happen to me when that happens, but for here, and for now, I just want to love you.” “But your mission,” Ianto said softly thinking about his job with the Preachers. “I promised you,” he replied “when we got the trillium that I would help you find your friends, all your friends. I’ve devoted the last 15 years of my life to the Word, and I want to devote what time I have left on this earth to you.” He leaned in, pressing his lips against Ianto’s, pulling him in tightly against him. It clicked in Ianto’s head like a light switch and he wrapped his arms around Mathias, no thoughts of Jack coming to mind. Mathias was right, he’d always love Jack, just like he still loved Lisa, but that was an unhealthy relationship, one sided all give and no take. Jack hadn’t used him, at least not intentionally, but Ianto needed more and Mathias… he groaned as Mathias’s had slid down the front of his trousers. “I love you,” Mathias whispered pulling his head back looking into Ianto’s eyes, his blue ones shining softly. Ianto looked deep in his eyes, feeling tears run down his cheeks. He felt, whole, complete, understood totally and completely, like he had with Lisa. This was someone that would love him no matter what. Stand with him no matter what and never look at bloody Gwen Cooper or anyone else the way that he looked at him. A partner, an equal, a friend, a lover… “I love you too,” Ianto said his head feeling light and he kissed Mathias, his hands pulling his shirt out of his slacks his skin burning with desire. ********************************************** The Shining Citadel The Abandoned Aqueduct ********************************************** “Well,” John said lowering his arm “this is where the signal leads. “So how do we get in?” Mick asked. “Doctor?” The Doctor pulled out his sonic screwdriver and just before he turned it on there was a clunk from the other side of the door. The heavy steel door ground over the earth as the person inside the pitch black corridor pulled it open. The dark night prevented them from seeing the person’s face and as soon as the door was open, the figure turned and walked back down the tunnel that led under the bay. “Well, I guess we play follow the leader,” the Doctor said slipping his screwdriver away and taking a step after the figure. Mick grabbed his shoulder. “What if it’s a trap?” “Well we won’t know unless we follow him, will we?” The Doctor replied. John rolled his eyes and shoved past the Doctor following the figure down the tunnel and the others quickly followed suit not wanting to stay in the open debating. The perception filters worked, as long as they didn’t do anything that drew attention to themselves they went unnoticed, but they still weren’t comfortable standing out in the open like that. Mick went through last with Jazz and the two men grabbed the heavy door, sliding it back shut. It looked incredibly heavy and sounded heavy, and it was heavy, though it wasn’t all that hard to move which was rather surprising. The group followed the figure who always stayed just out of the light of Kella’s torch silently. No one dared speak and the sounds of their footsteps echoed down the long tunnel. Water dripped occasionally from the ceiling above them where cracks had started to form. There was evidence of repair in some areas keeping the tunnel from collapsing completely but the place was clearly beginning to fall apart. The walked for what seemed like miles through the darkness, the distance multiplied by the sheer creepiness of the place. Eventually however they saw a glow from up ahead and the tunnel opened up into a large room filled with electronic equipment, radios and other devices. “Gemini, I presume.” Mick said. “I’m,” “I know who you are,” the figure said shrugging off a long coat and hanging it up. “Wha…” Jake started to say. Jack turned around looking much the worse for ware. His skin was pale and drawn, his frame gaunt. A weeks worth of beard was on his face and his hair was long enough to fall just past his shoulders. The clothing that he wore was tattered, well worn and his army jacket had seen better days. “You’re not Jack,” John said, eyes narrowing. “I am,” Jack said “and I’m not. It’s… complicated.” “When the shift happened,” the Doctor suddenly said “we were torn from our time and back in, but into another version of it and since you were already here fifty years ago it created a paradox.” Jack nodded. “The others, you all,” he said nodding towards Mick and the others “were never born because the history of the world here is different from your own. But you,” “I don’t get it,” Mick said. “So…” “I can’t die,” Jack said. “I can’t ever die. Coffee?” He asked walking over without waiting for answers and began pouring out the cups. “I’ve been here for, well over a hundred years, living in Cardiff. When the Master fell through the rift fifty years ago, I was still here and I knew that everyone else caught in the blast would come through as well, including another version of myself.” “Thus creating a paradox.” The Doctor said. “I still don’t get it.” Jack said. “Then why aren’t we,” “The shift happened fifty years ago,” the Doctor said. “The only one of us on Earth fifty years ago was you Jake. You would have been 4 years old.” “So then I could find myself,” Jake said with a smile. Jack shook his head. “You died during the first wave of the attack. I died, several times.” He carried over a tray covered with coffee mugs, exactly enough for all of them. “We tried to undo the damage, Torchwood I mean, but we couldn’t. When we lost the HUB,” he shook his head. “I couldn’t risk meeting myself and the locket wasn’t clear exactly when you’d all be showing up.” “So you hid yourself away,” the Doctor said. “Doing what you could to help the fight without actually taking an active roll.” Jack nodded and Kella let out a sharp cry as the earth around them shook suddenly, rubble raining down on their heads. Jake fell to the side, hitting a table, the radio on it falling off and the coffee mug tumbling from his hands. Kella fell against Mick who staggered into the wall. Jazz caught the Doctor as he stumbled over a pile of equipment. Jack was moving across the room, slamming shut the heavy door leading to the tunnel. A second later there was a slam on the other side, the metal letting out a high pitched whine, water spraying into the room from around the edges. “The tunnel’s collapsed!” The Doctor cried. “Through here,” Jack said running across the room slamming his fist into the wall and the bookcase holding various items moved aside showing a long passage. “It’ll bring you to a small hanger on the far side of the bay.” “What was that explosion?” Jake asked, pale. “The Reckoning.” Jack replied. “Go, now, it’s a long run and I don’t know how long that door will hold.” “Come with us,” the Doctor said. Jack shook his head. “I need to send out the final call,” he said. “There’s a small plane in the hanger, I’ve retrofitted it so that it should be undetectable by radar. It’s got some sonic disruptors in case you run into Kindred. Won’t kill them but it’ll knock them out. Go, now. There’s not much time.” “But you’ll die!” Kella cried. “But I always come back,” Jack said with a smile. “It’s got GPS programmed with where you need to go, so just get it in the air and follow the course. You’ll find your friends.” “Jack,” the Doctor said. “Go,” Jack said pushing them all through the opening and the bookcase slid shut, blocking him from sight. They ran down the long corridor which was far better kept up than the one that they’d previously come down. The lights flickered softly above their heads. Only minutes into their run for the hanger they heard a faint crash and the sound of rushing water. The other door had broken, the chamber filling with water and they knew it was a matter of time before it started to spill into this tunnel as well. Jack was right, they didn’t have much time. |

Supreme Goddess Of All Things Bright And Shiny

******************************************* Vindico quod Solvo Board Room ******************************************* Kas ran her hands through her hair and walked over to the window wondering where the hell everyone was. Andi, Archer, Ianto, Mathias, Gwen, and Jack were all missing from the meeting. She’d asked Dimitri to go and check on Andi since Mathias had said that she can lose track of time. She’d seen Gwen in the hall and she’d said that she was off to find Jack who’d disappeared shortly after dark. Whenever he’d come back, he’d been alone so that no one had seen him leave and no one could say how he was doing, if the old Jack was back or some psychotic version. She looked down at the piece of paper in her hands which indicated some massive Kindred movement in Asia, Africa and the United States. At first it hadn’t been much of anything but over the last 24 hours it had become more of an issue. The Kindred were up to something, that much was certain. “It’s probably the Reckoning,” G’Kar said from where she was sitting at the table. The corner of her mouth turned up and she Kara laughed as though she’d made a joke. “The Reckoning?” Kas asked turning around and looking at G’Kar, setting the paper down on the table. Jett and Andrew quit their conversation and turned their interested to Kas and G’Kar as well. “What’s that?” Her tone was serious. “It’s just a story,” Kara said. “She’s not serious Kas. It wouldn’t ever happen.” “It’s not possible,” G’Kar said. “It was a joke, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have said anything.” “No,” Kas said sitting down. “Tell me what this Reckoning is.” G’Kar let out a long breath and shrugged. “The Reckoning… It’s said that it’s the last of days all who aren’t of the faithful will be wiped out by the hand of Tobor. It’s a myth, a fairy tale really. A story that was given to the Elite from our Kindred brethren.” She leaned back in her seat. Kara took a drink of water and laughed. “It’s like that old story about the gods flooding Earth for like… a month or whatever.” “Forty days and forty nights,” Kas said not really listening, thinking about what G’Kar had just said. The Elite that hadn’t been killed during the takeover almost seemed restless in a way, like they were waiting for something to happen. “Who’s Tobor?” “The Kindred god of the afterlife,” G’Kar said. “It’s said he’ll come to collect the souls of the unfaithful and cleanse the universe of the undeserving leaving the faithful to eternal salvation and life. He’s like the…” “Like the Tooth Fairy,” Andrew said. “Whatever that is,” G’Kar replied with a shrug. “It’s just a story.” The door to the board room swung open and Tiny came lumbering in. He still wasn’t 100% but it had been utterly impossible to keep him off of his feet. What doesn’t kill him made him stronger, or so he kept on saying. In his hand he clutched a crumpled piece of paper, his face white. Immediately Kas was on her feet sensing the urgency. “What’s wrong?” She asked going to him and taking the paper from him. “There’s been an explosion in the Citadel, hundreds dead. Gemini sent a final broadcast before, before we lost all contact.” He looked over at G’Kar and Kara. “What is this?” Kas asked looked at Tiny. “Is this,” “I don’t know.” Tiny replied. “It sounds like a prophecy but…” Kas gave the paper over to Jett who quietly read it and passed it back to Kas. “It’s not a prophecy. This isn’t divine, it’s code. It’s a specific message. I’m sorry, I can’t tell you what it means.” “Three stars and Devil to five.” Kas read. “The snakes are resting but not gone. Eight join with Him to find Light. Tobor walks in an explosion of air. The Pastors will know where it will begin. The key to salvation is…” she turned the piece of paper over and then looked at the front again. “Where’s the rest of it?” She asked looking up at Tiny. “The key to salvation is…?” “There’s no more.” Tiny said lowering his massive bulk down into a chair. “That’s all we got before all transmissions from the Citadel terminated. I’m sorry.” “Oh sweet,” G’Kar said, her hands over her mouth. “It can’t, it can’t be…” “We need to find the others.” Kas said. “Andrew, you go and find Archer, Andi and Dimitri. Kara, go find Ianto and Dimitri, I’ll look for Jack and Gwen. Tiny,” she said handing the paper over to him again. “You and Jett work on this and try to decode what you can. Whatever is happening, it’s big. Whoever this Gemini is, or was, this message was meant for us.” She turned and ran out of the room taking a left down the corridor not thinking about where she was going. For some reason that she didn’t understand, she followed her gut straight towards Jack and Gwen. ********************************************* Vindico quod Solvo The Kitchen Pantry *********************************************** “Gwen.” Gwen jumped a mile, spinning around to see Jack standing in the doorway blocking her in. “Jack, you scared the shit out of me. I was, I was looking for you.” “In the pantry.” He asked, the corner of his mouth curling up. “I… got… hungry.” She said holding up a ration bar of some sort. “Kas was sitting with you most of the time but she went to take a shower and when she got back, you were gone. You look good.” She put a hand on his chest feeling his beating heart. “Got your color back… how much…” “I remember everything,” he said leaning against the doorframe looking at her and shook his head. “I know what… what I did to Dani… to Ianto, to you.” He was silent for a minute. “I’m sorry. I never should have, I couldn’t…” “It’s okay,” Gwen said. “You’re back, and that’s all that matters. All wounds heal.” Her next words were lost as Jack suddenly leaned in and kissed her, pushing her back into the pantry. “Jack,” she gasped pulling her mouth away from his. “I can’t, Rhys,” “Isn’t here,” Jack said his hands pulling her shirt out from her pants. “He never existed here, in this world.” His fingers unbuttoned her blouse even as Gwen tried to move his hands away from her shirt. “It’s just you… and me Gwen, and I want you.” “And Ianto,” Gwen said her breath coming fast. Jack paused looking at the front of her shirt and then looking at Gwen. This was a twinkle in his eyes, a twinkle that wasn’t quite the old Jack, but wasn’t the dark Jack either. There was a ghost of that mean part of him, a bare whisper that she knew could make him cold. “Ianto made his choice.” He finally said. “I never meant to hurt him. I love him, I do… but I love you too Gwen.” He leaned down to kiss her. When she moved her head to the side he kissed the side of her neck. “Ianto wants something I can’t give him.” “And what’s that?” Gwen asked unable to stop her hand from reached up and holding Jack’s lips to her neck. She could feel him trembling against her with desire and he pushed his hips into hers. Rhys, she thought, think about Rhys…. You love him… you love him… you love him…. But she couldn’t deny that right now, her body was on fire, that her knees felt week and her heart was racing. “All of me.” Jack said gently cupping her breast and Gwen let out a moan. “I want you Gwen. I can’t save Ianto, I never could. I can’t fix him.” He sighed into her neck sadly. “I love him but,” he shook his head. “It’s complicated.” “If you love him, you should go to,” “No,” Jack said firmly. “I won’t. I can’t. I’m not… I’m not what he needs, he made that clear before he shot me. He’s always been second to you Gwen, or at least that’s how he feels even if I didn’t think of him that way. He wasn’t some… back up plan to get my rocks off because you wouldn’t have me, but what I gave him, what I could give him… it’s not enough, and it never will be.” “So what,” she said with a laugh. “I’m your back up plan?” “No,” Jack said unbuttoning Gwen’s slacks. “You’re… I… you’re… Gwen, I want you, not like in a fuckbuddy way, but in the spend the rest of your life with me making babies kind of way. Be with me Gwen, fuck everything else. Just be with me.” “This isn’t, this isn’t you Jack.” She said not sure what to think. Was he serious? Was she just making excuses for him? This was all so bloody sudden! “You don’t really think this, it’s a part of… of the damage that was,” Jack ran a hand over Gwen’s stomach and looked at her. “I’ve never been more serious in my life.” Outside of the pantry Kas turned and walked over to the counter, her fingers wrapping around the hilt of a knife and pulling it from the block. She was filled with the sudden strong desire to slit Gwen’s throat like she was some territorial bitch protecting her turf. Her eyes fluttered as she felt something caress the back of her mind, soothing her sudden wash of rage. There’d be time for that later, something told her. She stared at the knife in her hand and slowly slid it back into the block not remembering how it had gotten there, the last thirty seconds of her memory gone. There was a sudden gasp from the pantry and she cleared her throat loudly. “Jack? Gwen?” She said walking over the tile, making sure that her heals clicked nice and loud. “Fucking,” Jack’s voice sounded unhappy and very frustrated and she heard him take a deep breath before appearing in the door. “Kas, hi. How you doing there princess? Nice outfit, I like the color.” “We need you, both of you. In the boardroom.” Kas said clearing her throat. “Something’s happening.” “The Reckoning?” Jack asked smoothing down his hair and walking out towards her and Kas nodded. “Ki, well… I can’t believe I… let’s go.” Gwen came out of the pantry a second later looking flustered and tucking her blouse into her pants. “I see you found Jack,” Kas said unable to hide the slight tone of possessiveness in her voice. “Um.. yeah.” Gwen said. “Shall we?” ******************************************************* The Shining Citadel The Tower ******************************************************* “What do you mean she’s… FIND HER!” The Master roared furiously into the phone slamming it back down into the cradle hard enough to crack it. Twenty minutes ago half the city had blown up, thousands were dead, not that he cared about them really. What he cared about was Dani. That morning when he’d woken up he realized he didn’t want her with him because she had to be, but because she wanted to be and he’d removed the bracelet, his heart in his throat. When she’d kissed him and asked if she could go shopping… he really couldn’t remember ever being so happy and he’d sent his most trusted of Elite guards to watch out for her and make sure that she stayed safe. Dani, his Dani… and now she was missing in a ruined city and felt sick and panicked with terror at the thought of losing her. “Sir?” Said Mika coming through the doors of the elevator carrying an envelope in her hand. “This just arrived for you downstairs.” “What’s the word on the street? Dani,” “No word yet sir, but there are reports of other major cities being bombed as well all over the globe.” She set the envelope down on the desk and walked over to the window, her hands sliding into the pockets of her uniform. “Find her,” the Master said. “She’s your top priority, do you understand?” He ripped into the envelope and pulled out a single piece of paper written in very familiar handwriting. They’ve taken Dani. The Reckoning has begun. You can’t stop it. Get to Caernarfon immediately. The only way to get her back it is to join them. Kill the messanger. She’s ordered to kill you. Gemini So Jack was the elusive Gemini, the Master though folding the piece of paper and sliding it into the inside of his jacket. He’d always wondered what had happened to the other Jack, the one that hadn’t fallen through the tear with them. Well, now he knew. His eyes moved to the glass face of the clock in time to see Mika turn around, pulling something from her pocket. “I need you to check on the number dead,” the Master said opening a desk drawer and putting the now empty envelope inside. “And contact the other cities, see how many,” he turned, gun in hand and shot Mika point blank in the chest. Her chest exploded in a rain of blood and gore and the Master got up, wiping off his face. He didn’t take the time to change for at that moment, the alarms in his office started to go off, the alarms stating that the facility had been breached. He slammed his hand down onto the intercom. “Nina! Prepare the TARDIS.” “The TARDIS is staying where it is,” Nina’s voice said and there was a sigh. He could hear her brother saying something in the background. “I guess Mika failed, but no matter, I’ll come and collect you myself. You’re done giving orders.” “Shit,” the Master said turning off the intercom and heading towards the emergency exit with every intent of getting to Caernarfon as fast as humanly possible. He had to find the Doctor. ~~~END SCENE~~~ MOD NOTE: I'm sure that you're all smart enough to know this... but Archer is gone. You cannot stop her from leaving. |

OOC: it has been brought to my attention that G'kar is in fact a female, and that ive been referring to her as a male, for that im sorry, forgive any inconsistencies, ill do what i can to refer to G'kar as female:D Gwen, Jack and Kas walked down the hall to the meeting room, Gwen still trying to make herself presentable, like she wasn't just in the pantry making out with Jack in the pantry. So many thoughts and emotions flew through her head. Shame, for her betrayel of Rhys, annoyance at Kas, for interrupting them. Fear, that what was going on was really serious. Lust, need, for Jack. God, she wanted him. She felt bad for thinking about this when she was married to Rhys, but she couldn't help herself. He drove her crazy, it was all she could do to not jump him right in the corridor, Kas or no Kas. Hell, Kas could join in for all she cared. Deep down she knew this was wrong, but rhys....he wasn't here, he didn't even exist, so it wasn't technically cheating, right? Bloody fuck, I'm trying to rationalize cheating on my husband, Gwen thought. Rhys was allready jealous of Jack, Gwen had tried to patch things up between the two of them for some time, and here Gwen was, filled with need for Jack to caress her again, to feel his lips on her neck, his body pressed against hers, his hands roaming her body..... Gwen was glad there was no mirror in front of her, she imagined she was beet red. At any rate, she had other things to think about now, Kas had sounded worried, like something big was up, and Jack had mentioned the Reckoning, whatever that was. Speaking of Kas....Gwen turned her head to look at Kas, walking behind her. Kas was looing at her oddly, with something like....anger? No, that couldn't be right, what would Kas be angry at her about? Could it be about Jack? But Kas had no interest in Jack, Gwen couldn't count the number of times Kas had made her preference for Mick known. Gwen was n't sure, and she couldn't figure it out. Kas, meanwhile, noticed Gwen looking at her. "What is it?" Kas asked, her voice cool. "Nothing, just worried, is all." Gwen said, truthfully enough. "Well, you're back with Jack, so I wouldn't be worried." Kas said, and there was no mistaking the rather nasty tone in her voice. Gwen opened her mouth to respond, but decided against it. Whatever was wrong with Kas, she'd have to get over it. For all Gwen knew, it was the stress of this Reckoning thing. The board room door was open, and Gwen could hear the excited mumurs of those inside. Tiny and Jett sat at a desk in the corner, both intent on a piece of crumbled paper in front of them. They seemed to be studying it, trying to puzzle something out. G'kar sat at the table, working the computers, on the overhead moniter, a map of the world was displayed, several different areas on the map were blinking with red dots. "Whats going on?" Jack demanded from the doorway, and all eyes turned to look at him. "Jack, you're ok!" G'kar said, standing up to face him. "How are you feeling?" "I'd be feeling better if I knew what was going on!" Jack said, and Gwen felt good to hear his authorative tone, a tone she knew all to well. G'kar hesitated, "We don't know yet, we have reports of several attacks all over the map, hundreds, if not thousands dead, and the Citadel...." "What about it?" Gwen asked, suddenly afraid. "The Citadel, its gone." G'kar said, "Gemini sent a message before it's destruction, but it's incomplete, Tiny and Jett are trying to work on it now." "What else?" Jack asked. "We're not sure, Jack, but....it might be the Reckoning." G'kar said, her tone suggested she didn't fully beleive it herself but was forced to due to overwhelming evidence. "Fuck." Jack swore. "I was afraid of that." Jack took a deep breath, then straightened up. "Gwen, help Jett and Muscles over there with the message, you're good with puzzles, Kas, go help Andrew find the others, we need everyone here, now. G'kar, keep track of all Kindred movement, I want to know where they are and how many of them, understood?" G'kar nodded her head, and set to work. Gwen whistled, impressed. "Glad to have the old, forceful Jack back." Jack turned to her and grinned. "You ain't seen nthin yet, just wait till later." He winked, making Gwen blush. Behind her, Gwen heard Kas make a noise, but Kas quickly left the room. Gwen wnet to Jett and Tiny, thinking about Jack. He seemed to be ok, but Gwen was still unsure whether or not she could fully trust him. His behavior was unusual, back in the pantry, but Gwen had seen his eyes, whatever demons had plagued him seemed to be gone for now. Besides, Gwen could feel it in her gut, and she was seldom wrong about things like this. Her gut instinct said she could trust Jack. Gwen looked at the paper that Tiny and Jett were looking at. "Are you sure this isn't prophecy?" Jett nodded, "Of that I am sure, this is code." Gwen frowned. This code looked almost like Jett's prophecy, talk of stars and the devil, and looking for Light. "Three stars and Devil to five. The snakes are resting but not gone. Eight join with Him to find Light. Tobor walks in an explosion of air. The Pastors will know where it all begins. The key to salvation is...." The rest of the message was incomplete. "Shit." Gwen muttered. Three stars and Devil to five, three of our group and the Devil to five? Five what? Five people,a place, a thing? The snakes resting, who was the snake? Eight will join Him to find Light. Him was capitalized, that may be signifigant, though the only time Gwen had seen Him used like that was when it was talking about God. Tobor? "Whose Tobor? Isn't that the name of a movie?" Gwen asked, confused. Jett explained that Tobor was the Kindred God of the Dead, like Hades to the Greeks, Gwen figured. "He walks on an explosion of air......" Gwen pndered that, but came up with nothing. "Who are the Pastors?" Tiny shook his head, and even Jett seemed confused. "The key to salvation is.....what? A thing, a place? Maybe aperson..."Gwen mused, "It would help if we knew where it was." "Any luck?" Jack's voice asked from behind her, making her jump a bit. "Jesus, Jack, you scared the hell out of me!" Gwen gasped. "Not my intention." Jack said, "What did you discover?" "It's mostly gibberish to m, I suspect it has some meaning, but..." Gwen shrugged. "There is one thing that bugs me, though." "Whats that?" Jack asked, stepping closer. Gwen swallowed, all to aware of the warmth of his body, even from this distance. "The code, it seems to borrow a few phrases from Jetts prophecy." "So?" "Well, the noly ones who should know about these prophecys are you, me and Kas and everybody important to the resistence, but the prophecy relates to us. And if this Gemini character had been around since before we got here, then....." Tiny nodded, as if he knew where she was going. Jack himself was starting to piece it together. "It means that Gemini had to have been one of us." "Right! But how can that be? None of us have ever been away long enough to do it, and we weren't around when Gemini started up." Jack rubbed his chin thoughtfully, "Thats a very good question. Think on it awhile, see what comes up. And keep up the good work." Jack said. Gwens miled, please with her work, and jumped when Jack hand slid across her backside before he walked away. God, that man could be infuriating at times. But Gwen couldn't help how she felt about him. The door to the board room opened up, and Andrew and Kas came in, both looking pale and grim. Andrew had blood on his hands, and on his shirt. "What the hell happened!" Gwen asked, rushing to their side. Jack didn't move, he stood in front of the table, arms crossed. "Jack, we....I found, Andi, and Dimitri, they're both dead, Andi's throat was cut, and Dimitri's guts were.....were hanging out." Andrew said, he seemed to be having trouble speaking. "Jesus, no." Gwen whispered, horrified. She hadn't known Andi or Dimitri all that well, but the violence they had suffered, it was horrible. "What about Archer?" "Archer, we can't....we can't find her anywhere." Kas answered, "She gone." |

"Alright, I've been thinking. When life gives you lemons, don't make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don't want your damn lemons, what am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life's manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I'm the man whose gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I'm gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!"

"Three stars and Devil to five. The snakes are resting but not gone. Eight join with Him to find Light. Tobor walks in an explosion of air. The Pastors will know where it all begins. The key to salvation is.... Come on Gwen,” Jack said in an almost taunting tone. “It’s not THAT hard.” “Easy for you to say,” Gwen said. “I’m just stuck on how this Gemini person even knew about the second prophecy.” “Well, if this Gemini is ex-Torchwood like Dimitri had said, Jesus I could use a cup of coffee.” He said with a sigh before snapping back to what he was saying. “It’s more than possible he had something with him from the HUB, something that would have told him the future.” He frowned thinking. “There was this locket, it showed Andy…he killed the whole team and then himself back in 1999 right before the year turned over. Torchwood had the locket even before I joined. Marta used to wear it for safe keeping, before it drove her mad. Sorry, I’m off on a tangent.” “The code Jack,” Gwen said. “What do you think it means?” "Three stars and Devil to five.” Jack said, considering the main prophecy were we’re listed as red stars, and the fact that there’s five of here…” Jack said. “That three more are coming and we’re going to join back up.” Kas said with a smile. “Wait, that means,” “Four of us died.” Gwen said finishing her sentence. “There’s no mention of the others so, they’ve got to be…” She shook her head, frustrated. “Not necessarily,” Kas said. “It just means three are coming to us.” She thought for a moment. “Probably the Doctor, Jake and Mick. Dimitri said that they were probably together, and we know Dani is with the Master.” “When we set things right, will they come back?” Gwen asked. “Don’t know,” Jack replied “but I’d have to say no. Dead is dead, unless you’re me.” He gave her a wink and looked back at the paper. “The snakes are resting but not gone. No idea what that means.” “It means we’ve got a traitor in our midst.” Gwen said. “A snake in the grass.” “No,” Jack said. “But it,” “That’s not it Gwen.” He pushed the paper over to her and leaned back in his seat. “Look at this message. Really look at it. It’s perfect, nothing out of place. Nothing where it’s not needed. There’s no fat to be trimmed so to speak.” He ruffled his hair with his hand. “It’s not talking about people, if it was it would say traitor or something to that extent. Whatever these snakes are, they’re things, not people.” “But Jack,” Gwen said. He shook his head. “Trust me. The message is coded, but not impossibly so. It all makes sense. Matthew and I used to do stuff like this back in the Agency all the time.” “Could it be this Mathew bloke?” Kas asked. Jack shook his head. “No, he was lost… his vortex manipulator malfunctioned during a time storm.” He sounded sad for a moment. “He was my first partner, before John… and I do want that back by the way. Feeling kind of, well, naked.” His right hand rubbed his left wrist absently, missing the felling of the devise on his wrist. “Eight join with Him to find Light.” “So there’s going to be eight of us together once the three arrive,” Kas said. “But Him?” “It’s capitalized,” Jack said. “So it’s someone important. Everyone important is capitalized, like Light… another reason why snakes aren’t people.” He gave Gwen a wink. “The Master?” Kas asked. “If he’s been overthrown,” “It’s possible.” Jack replied. “Self preservation has always been at the top of his list, and if the Kindred and Elite are against him, and the humans all hate him,” “Well we don’t exactly like him.” Kas said with a smile and Jack laughed. “But we’re more likely to work with him because we know he’s brilliant and could be an asset.” “It would help if we knew what Light was, or who for that matter.” Jack said with a cluck of his tongue lost in thought for a moment. Explosion of air…” “If it’s the Reckoning,” Kas said “it might refer to how the Kindred and Elite plan to wipe out the unfaithful…. Maybe something airborne? An explosion that releases something that the wind carries around the world?” “That’s,” Gwen fell silent and then nodded. “That’s a really good idea Kas. Even money you’re right on that.” “You’re making a lot of assumptions.” Jett said looking at Jack. “Not really,” Jack replied looking at her, his eyes sweeping over her figure appreciatively. “It’s not prophecy, it’s code.” He looked back at it and turned the paper over for a moment looking at the back before flipping it right side up. “It reminds me of something I would have written.” He shrugged. “Pastors… old religion… Christianity… not singular so it’s a group, a group that follows the old religion…” “The Preachers.” Andrew said from where he was sitting. “Pastor is another word for Preacher, plural means a group and they were working on some kind of a weapon to wipe out the Kindred.” “Oh Jesus,” Kas muttered. “If Archer’s working with the Kindred,” “She could modify it to wipe out everyone.” Gwen finished. Silence filled the room. “Andrew, where did you and Ianto find the Preachers?” “Manorbriar.” Andrew replied. “On the southwest coast, but I never saw any kind of weapon.” “Well that’s where we need to start.” Jack said standing up. “We’ll leave at dawn. Get some sleep.” <span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>Mod Note:</span> The group WILL be leaving the facility at Dawn, which will be this coming Sunday night/Monday morning. You have until then to get the two groups together. Failure to do so will equal death to one, if not more, characters.

Kas/Jack/Gwen - Mind Wondering Kas looked at the group. They had made a lot of progress in a short time. She was still in shock about Andi and Dimitri. Andi had been nice enough, a bit strange, but pleasant and Dimitri, it was a shame to loose him, who knows what he could have helped them with after all he was Elite and Kas wasn’t sure how much muscle they would need, but to loose him seemed like a waste to her. Kara said they would take care of the bodies, but Kas still wished there was more to do. Kas looked around the room, where was Ianto and for that matter where was Mathias, no one seemed to worried, expect her. Jack seemed to be back in control and for some reason she took great comfort in that, she knew they needed him, he eyes drifted over to Gwen. She couldn’t believe how callous she was being about this whole Jack thing. Ianto had all but sacrificed himself and his sanity for Jack and she was about 3 seconds from snogging him here on the Boardroom table. Hearing them in the Pantry was bad enough, Jack…no Gwen, this was her doing… Jack was so…Kas rolled her eyes, “Something wrong Princess?” Jack said with a wink looking at her. She smiled at him and blushed just a bit, “Nothing Jack…” She was transfixed on him for just a moment then everyone came back in focus, “let me know if you need anything I going to see if I can find out what happened to Ianto and the others” Kas looked at Gwen, “since no one else can be bothered.” Kas turned and walked out of the room. She didn’t understand why she was so angry but she was. She walked into the hall and headed for the brig, Mathias, he worked for with the Preachers and he would know how to get back to their base, assuming he wasn’t helping Archer. No that didn’t seen to be him, Mathias was different from the others, he was sweet. Kas got about 10 feet when she felt an hand on her shoulder, “What?!” she snapped turning and seeing Gwen standing there looking at her smiling, “Everything all right?” Gwen said smiling; Kas managed a smile, “Yes. I’m…just worried.” Kas said lying, she was more then worried she was angry as hell, but it didn’t matter. “I thought I would come with you, we need to find the others and I’m worried about Ianto.” Kas nodded “of course.” They started walking down the hall. “Gwen I need you with me. Kas can handle the others.” They heard Jack’s voice call down the hall. “But...Ianto?” Gwen said. “Ianto is a big boy and will come around when he’s ready…we have work to do.” Jack said. Kas froze as he spoke. Kas took a breath, “I’ll be fine, go, it would appear he needs you.” Kas said starting to walk off the anger coming back. Kas waited for them to clear out of the hall and she headed off. She needed some air, what was going on, she rubbed her arm, it was tingling again. Kas found the exit door and went outside the cool air kissing her face, everyone was on alert, anyone who could fight was in position. If the Kindred attacked they needed to be ready for them. Kas took several deep breathes, if what they figured out was true, then Mick and the others would be on their way here. It would be so nice to see Mick again, she needed him, she needed to see his face again. Kas sighed looking out over the grounds, it was actually very nice here, it was a pleasant enough place, but they needed to fix this, get things back to normal, stop this Reckoning, she needed to work with Jack…Jack was the key, he couldn’t be distracted by that bitch Gwen and her tits and ass, the skanck. Kas couldn’t have that, Jack needed to focus they both did and if Gwen got in way… Kas took a deep breath looking at the sky and smiling, she didn’t remember what she was thinking about, it was nice to just let your mind wonder sometimes. She continued to stand there looking out over the compound just trying to relax, she was looking forward to seeing Mick again. |

The first thing that Dani was aware of was that ever inch of her body hurt, from the tips of her toes to the end of her nose, everything ached. She let out a pained groan as she sat up, slowly opening her eyes. She tried to raise her arm to shield her eyes from the glare of the lights but it felt funny, to heavy and she looked down to see a cast running from her elbow to her hand. It was vaguely reminiscent of the cast that the Doctor had put on her ankle when it had broken but this one was clear with some kind of a multi colored liquid in it. The skin of the cast gave under her fingers and if she pushed hard enough she could press all the way down to the skin of her arm without pain. Whatever kind of cast it was, it was alien and thus, weird and fascinating. Her arm was the only wound of hers that had been tended however and she looked down at her torn and bloody clothes. Carefully, she ran her good hand over her body under the fabric feeling crusts of tried blood, the beginnings of scabs and closing wounds. There were a lot of them, but nothing to major. They’d probably taken care of her arm so that she would die from blood poisoning or something, she heard that could happen if you didn’t heal a break, something about bone marrow or something. She wasn’t quite sure. The worst wound that she found was a shard of glass in her back that had slid up under her ribs. She was pretty sure that it hadn’t hit anything vital because she wasn’t dead yet but it hurt like holy hell to touch. Gritting her teeth she grabbed the bloody end that was sticking out and with a scream that she tried to keep quiet (and failed miserably) she pulled it out. It felt like it was three feet long but when she looked at it she saw that it was maybe two inches. She slid out of her blouse and twisted it up, tying it around her waist to staunch the blood flow and shivered. It was cold in here. Dani put her hand against the brick wall finding it cool to the touch, underground probably. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to tell her that she was a captive. As though her unkempt condition and the room in which she found herself, one wall of which looked like plexiglass with holes drilled in it, probably so that the captor could talk to the captive. She could see where the door was in the glass and she walked over, pushing her hand against it not expecting anything, and getting exactly what she’d expected. She jumped as there was a clang and the metal door at the end of the hall opened. “You’re awake.” The woman who walked in said, and Elite woman wearing a long white lab coat. “I brought you food.” “Where am I?” Dani asked watching the woman slide the food through the opening. “Who are you? What’s going on? Where,” “So many questions.” The woman said clearly amused. “Eat, you’ll need your strength.” “I’m not eating shit.” Dani said sitting down and folding her arms over her chest. “You could have poisoned it.” The woman’s laughter sent chills up Dani’s spine. “Human, if I had wanted you dead, you would be. But if you wish,” she said reaching in and pulling the tray out. Dani made no move to stop her. The woman left the cellblock taking the tray with her and answering none of Dani’s questions. Dani laid down on the hard bunk wishing that she had a blanket but refusing to ask for one. She could be insufferably stubborn at times which most people could find infuriating. When she put her mind to something, there was no changing it. Wincing in pain, she pulled her knees up to her chest and curled up into as tight of a ball as her body would allow trying to keep in her body heat and she thought about the three men that meant the most to her. Ianto. The Doctor. The Master. She drifted back to sleep, their faces and voices playing in her mind. |

Ianto et al - Appologies “Hello.” Ianto said looking at Mathias, he felt good, he felt better then good. It was everything that he had been missing for years. In a way he felt free and happy. Mathias leaned in and kissed him, “you fell asleep, I didn’t want to wake you.” Ianto smiled, “this is very nice.” Ianto’s mind was at peace and he felt wonderful, then he remembered, “crap the meeting…the others…” He jumped up from the cot and quickly started to get dressed how long had they been done here, he didn’t remember, ugh he hated being late. Mathias stretched his arms lazily over his head letting out a happy sigh, “If it was something important someone would have come for us already.” Ianto turned at him and smiled, “that may be so, but we still have a job to do and I’m fussy like that.” Mathias laughed removing the covers from his naked body, Ianto looked at him he was perfect absolutely perfect. Mathias saw him starring at him and gave him an evil grin, “see anything you like?” Ianto blushed he could see that Mathias was a little more them happy to see him looking at him, “Yes, but not now.” Mathias sighed and got up, “Your loss.” Pulling up his pants and throwing on his shirt. Ianto watched him not believing what he just said no too. Mathias smiled one more time sighing and saying, “Wie Sie wünschen.” Ianto looked at him, “very funny.” Mathias laughed, “you understand German?” Ianto nodded, “some.” Mathias grinned. Ianto walked over to the sink checking his appearance making sure that he looked alright. Mathias walked up behind him and kissed his neck; Ianto turned and looked into his blue eyes, “Danke… danken Ihnen für alles.” Mathias started to laugh and kissed him. Ianto adjusted his tie and Mathias went to the sink and ran his hands under the water then taking his wet hands and running it through his hair. “Ready.” Mathias said looking at Ianto who nodded and they walked out of the cell and up to the Boardroom. Ianto walked down the hall and with each step getting more and more nervous, the things he said, the fact that Jack was awake again and missing. The things he said to Gwen, he wanted to throw up, he should have never said any of it. The situation between Gwen and Owen, as well known as it was, was nothing he should have thrown in her face. Gwen had always been kind to him and treated him well. She didn’t deserve it. Mathias could sense the change in Ianto it was small, but he noticed, “I’m right here Ianto, It’ll be fine.” Mathias took Ianto’s hand as they approached the door to the boardroom, Ianto looked at their hands intertwined just for a moment, he would normally pull away, but he wanted and needed the strength that Mathias offered. Ianto took a breath and opened the door. The room was a buzz with activity and no one noticed them at first. G’Kar was talking to Kara and they were viewing the monitors, something huge was happening, there were flashes on every continent of the world. Jack and Gwen where working, closely over a few reports on the table and Tiny and Jett were talking with Andrew, Ianto looked at them all, he was surprised to not see Kas there. “Sorry we’re late.” Ianto said, everything came to a halt as everyone looked at the two of them standing there, the fact that there hands were interlocked was not lost on anyone. G’Kar was the first one to speak, “You seem better Ianto. I’m pleased.” Ianto nodded, “Thanks, looks like we missed something, what’s happening?” Jack eyed Ianto then Mathias then their hands, “The Reckoning…we don’t have a lot of time, Gwen and I’ll fill you both in.” Ianto and Mathias walked over to the large table and Jack and Gwen began to fill them in on what was going on. Both of them noticed how close Ianto and Mathias where at one point Mathias put his arm around Ianto’s shoulder and Ianto leaned his head on Mathias shoulder as he did so, neither Ianto nor Mathias noticed the look that both Jack and Gwen had on their faces, it lasted just a moment and then was gone. “Bloody hell, you think that the Kindred and most of the Elite where in on this and playing the Master.” Ianto said once they finished bringing him up to speed. Jack nodded, “So, we think that the Master and the others are on there way here.” Ianto thought for a moment, “but this Gemini person, who is he/she?” Jack and Gwen looked at him, “Ok we know that it was none of us, because we weren’t born in this world, right. According to the records Andrew and I found and the records that Gwen and Kas it makes sense, so who was alive at the time?” Gwen shrugged then said looked at the list. “the only one that it could have been was Jake and I find it unlikely that he is a great man in this world, plus there are no records from the United States at that time and from all indication it was hit very hard during the takeover.” Jack nodded, “agreed.” Ianto though for a moment looking at the list, then he smiled, “Jack it’s you. It has to be.” Ianto said as the others looked at him, “You were here on earth working for Torchwood, when this all happened, you can’t die, even if you died in the attacks, nothing that could have happened to you would have killed you and the Master wouldn’t have known you were here and if he did then why not put you on the Red List twice.” Jack nodded, it was possible, he looked at Gwen she seemed to think the same thing. “But the Master wouldn’t have put my name on there twice, that doesn’t make sense.” Jack said looking at Ianto. Ianto nodded his head in agreement, then continued, “Still, you would know that seeing yourself couldn’t be done, you have the means and the knowledge to do it. The code itself is something that you would have written, right?” Jack nodded, “It does look like something that I could have crafted, but how…” Jack stopped, “The locket…I must have taken the locket, that way I would know that you were all coming and who you were.” Jack said thinking. Gwen frowned, “But what about the whole seeing yourself, space time thing?” Ianto though for a moment, “Jack took what he could from the HUB and went into hiding and now that the other you knows we’re all here, he came out of hiding and is helping us.” Jack and Gwen looked at him. “It’s possible I suppose, but then why not add that to the message?” Jack said thinking looking at the message then looking at Ianto and Gwen. “To not tip your hand, to the Master on the off chance you were wrong?” Mathias said looking at them. They all looked at him for a moment they had almost forgot he was still standing there with them. Ianto smiled at him then looked at the others, “Ok we can come back to that. If you’re right abut the code then the other will be here soon enough and maybe they will no for sure.” Ianto said looking at them then at the code again written down: "Three stars and Devil to five. The snakes are resting but not gone. Eight join with Him to find Light. Tobor walks in an explosion of air. The Pastors will know where it all begins. The key to salvation is… “Ok, so you have it all figured but this last part, which is missing, so what is the key to salvation, it’s not a person. Could it be all of us working together, that is something that hasn’t been done on this planet, humans all working together. Maybe humanity is the key?” Ianto said looking at them. Gwen and Jack both had blank looks on their faces. Ianto shrugged, “it’s just a thought.” “The problem is without the rest of the message it could be anything and any guess could be right.” Jack said thinking then looking at the clock on the wall. “Look tomorrow is going to be really busy, I suggest we call it a night.” Gwen yawned and stretched her arms above her head. Ianto looked around the room, “where’s Kas?” Jack shrugged, “I have no idea, she actually went looking for you and Mathias.” “Maybe she went to get some air? Something seemed to be bothering her.” Gwen said feeling a bit drained form all that was happening. Ianto looked at Gwen, “do you have a minute, Gwen I wanted to talk to you?” Gwen nodded and Jack looked at Mathias, “Come on tall, sexy and blond we can compare notes.” Jack said pulling Mathias off in a different direction. Mathias looked back at Ianto with a bit of a worried look on his face, Ianto smiled at him. Gwen and Ianto headed to the door to the Boardroom and walked into the hall. Ianto stood looking at her for moment, he watched Gwen eye him, “I wanted to say I was sorry. I had no right to say those things to you. It was out of line.” Gwen looked at him, “Look Ianto, this isn’t the first time you’ve been out of bonds and I’m…” “I know…and I’m sorry. Listen I can’t change what I did or said, all I can do is say I’m sorry and it won’t happen again, You’ve always been descent to me Gwen and I had no right, so I’m sorry.” Ianto said interrupting her, he wanted to make sure he said what he could before Gwen said her piece. Gwen stood there silent for a few minutes, Ianto could see that she was putting her thoughts together “Ah there you are…” Kas said walking down the hall seeing both of them standing there. “I was wondering where you went?” Kas smiled at Gwen, it was a natural smile one that Gwen returned. “We were just talking.” Ianto said smiling. “I needed to get some air and then when I went to find you were you gone, so I thought I would make my way back here.” Kas said happy to see them both, with any luck they would patch things up and things could get back to normal, at least normal for the group. “Look I’m starved I vote we all go get something to eat.” Kas said, grabbing the other two by their arms and walking in the Boardroom where Jack Andrew and Mathias were all talking. Ianto was relieved a bit, Jack and Mathias talking could be…well could be interesting to say the least. Ianto knew he still needed to talk to Jack, he knew that Jack was resilient, but still he wanted to talk to him, just to make sure things were ok with him. Everyone started talking about different things, Gwen pulled Ianto aside, “We’ll talk more later.” Ianto nodded. |

Supreme Goddess Of All Things Bright And Shiny

Consider yourself warned... here be smut! Jack put the dipstick back into the engine and wiped the back of his hand over his face, not noticing that he smeared grease over his cheek. The oil was good, it had plenty of power, the radio was working. He ran through a mental check list trying to remember everything that needed to be checked. He knew that he should know it, or at least he felt that way, but truth be told, that’s what Dimitri had always done, either him or the techs at the Tower. If he was missing something he had no way of knowing unless it grew lights and a buzzer. “How’s it coming,” Gwen asked walking up behind him carrying a cup of coffee. “Aren’t you cold?” “A little,” Jack replied taking the cup. It was in the mid 50s and misty out, a blanket of thick fog had rolled in making it difficult to see more than 5 feet in front of you. “But I’m not wearing that jacket.” He took a long drink of the steaming liquid feeling it burn its way down his throat. “You’ve got a little, here,” Gwen said pulling on her sleeve and wiping the grease off Jack’s face. He grabbed her, spinning her around and pushing her up against the transport, his lips on hers, his coffee mug falling to the ground forgotten. She felt the hot coffee spatter against her jeans and she tasted the bitter flavor on his tongue, her arms wrapping around his neck. Jack’s hands unzipped the light jacket that she was wearing pulling it off her shoulders and tossing it aside with one hand as the other pulling her shirt out from her pants again. Her right leg curled around his waist, her hands falling down to his slacks pulling at the button as she tried to undo them while his own fingers unbuttoned her jeans. “Jack,” Gwen moaned pulling her lips away from his. “We’re…oh God.” “I don’t care,” he whispered into her ear pushing her jeans down off her hips. He slid his hands between her legs and she let out a loud gasp. He smiled into her neck, nipping the skin gently. “Do I always make you this wet?” “Yes,” she panted pushing her hips down into his hand finally able to unzip his slacks. “Jack,” she gasped feeling both very exposed and very turned on by being outside in the open. She knew that the fog severely limited visibility but it did nothing to cover the sounds. “Jack, can’t we,” “No,” he said pushing her legs apart with his knee. He had to have her. He had to lose himself in her now, and he didn’t care where they were. They could have been in the board room and he would have thrown her on the desk and taken her regardless of her objections. His hips pounded into hers and she let out a cry into his neck as he entered her, her legs wrapping around his waist tightly pulling him in further, her arms gripping around his neck tightly. Gwen let out something that sounded like a whimper and groaned into his neck as Jack continued. She felt so good, better than he’d thought and he nipped at her ear feeling her body shudder violently against his. He lost himself in her really, the rest of the world falling away until all he could feel was her body against his, her legs around his waist pulling him in further, her hands on the back of his neck fingers digging into his skin. She was his, that was all that mattered and he thrust in harder taking her as totally as he could as though staking claim. He felt her teeth on his neck, felt her cry out into his skin her body convulsing against his again and when he finally came, it was hard, and violent and his knees buckled, the two of them falling to the ground, Gwen still wrapped around him shuddering against him, both of them breathing hard. Panting, Jack shifted so that he was sitting down and not kneeling, his hands on Gwen’s ass keeping her his against him, keeping himself inside her and he rested his head on her shoulder. “Does Rhys fuck you like that?” He said softly, his lips brushing against her ear. “Does he make you cum like that?” “You’re an asshole,” she hissed at him slapping him suddenly angry and she felt his hips press against hers again, felt him growing hard again inside her. His hands pushed her hips down onto his and she tried to stand up, angry, confused, upset but he held her there, pushing his hips up against hers. “Dammit Jack!” His hand grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her mouth to his, his tongue thrusting between her lips and he felt her hips rise and then fall back down once, twice, slowly building up to a steady rhythm. His hand slid up into her hair and he moaned into her mouth. He pulled her tightly against him though her hips rose and fell of her own accord forcing herself down as far as she could on him. Gwen’s head suddenly arched back as she let out a cry of pleasure again as she climaxed again, Jack a second after and they sat there on the ground, bodies still locked together both spent. Jack leaned back against the side of the transport, Gwen laying against him breathing hard into his neck. He turned his head slightly, lips brushing against her skin his eyes closing. He winced slightly feeling a small twinge of pain in his head but it quickly passed. “We should… go back… inside.” Gwen said softly suddenly shivering with cold. Jack smiled resting his head against the transport. There were a million things that he wanted to say, several that were digs on Rhys for some reason, others about how good she felt, about other things that he wanted to do to her but right now, right now… “Yeah,” he said clearing his throat as she picked herself up off him, grabbing her jeans off the ground. He tucking himself back into his slacks and zipped them up. “Staying with me tonight?” He picked himself up and wrapped his arms around her waist as she buttoned her jeans. “I don’t,” she said softly, unsure. “It’s up to you,” Jack said. “But if you come, I’ll make you scream.” He kissed the back of her head and gave her nipple a playful flick with his finger before letting her go and scooping the forgotten mug off of the ground, heading back inside. |

The cluster of them got into the small plane that Jack 2.0, or was it Jack Squared? Who knew? Whatever Jack he'd been the airplane was fully fueled and raring to go. Mick wondered vaguely how the auto pilot would go. Was it programmed to do the whole takeoff and landing, or was it a mid-air control? Jake said, "anybody fuckin know how to fly?" Mick looked at the controls dubiously. The Doctor said, "I suppose I can, if it's absolutely neccessary. I thought Jack said that it was programmed to fly us to where we needed to go?" Mick said, "He did, but I'm still trying to figure out how to start the damn thing." The Doctor moved into the cockpit alongside Mick and looked at the controls briefly. Mick had sat in on many a flight with the Army pilot McClane, and had even flown that bird once. But that was a helicopter. The controlsd of the plane were different. Maybe even moreso than a conventional airplane, due to the fact that they were in an altered reality. The Doctor gave a small smile and said, "Here you go." He hit a black button and the engine roared to life. Mick said, "You can build a radiop from scraps, fly planes....You're like an alien version of MacGuyver." The Doctor frowned. He said, "Mack Who?" Mick said, "Don't worry about it. It's a long story." The Doctor nodded. The small plane began to taxi forward. Mick watched The Doctor sit behind the controls. He scanned the various gauges. A preflight checklist seemed unneccesary. They both knew Jack would have made sure everything was in order. The plane taxied down the ill-kempt runway and lifted off of the ground and into the sky. Mick felt his stomach drop to his feet. He still wasn't that avid a flyer. But he gamely sat next to the doctor in the co-pilot's seat. Mick said, "If we're too heavy, should we chuck Jake out the window?" The doctor laughed. He said, "That's so evil." Mick said, "I know." He looked back at Jake, who looked a bit green. Hart was talking with Jazz and Kella. Mick wasn't quite sure what to make of Hart yet. A friend of the Enigmatic Captain Jack. Nearly as enigmatic as Jack himself. The doctor said, "According to this, we should be at the location within the hour." Mick said, "Thank god. I'm ready to see some familiar faces and stop running for half a minute." Mick leaned back in the seat and closed his eyes, suddenly very tired. He didn't think he'd had them closed for long when he was suddenly shaken. The doctor said, "Some co-pilot Mick." Mick felt groggy. He said, "Shit...i can't believe I fell asleep." The Doctor said, "Quite alright." Mick said, "We have a landing strip?" The doctor said, "No, we're not so fortunate." Mick said, "so where?" The doctor said, "There's a deserted bit of earth that's just long enough. Then we'll have a short jaunt to the front door." The Doctor turned slightly and said, "Everyone fasten your safety belts please. We're about to land." The doctor brought the plane in a swooping arc towards the bare earth and ease off on the throttle. The plane bumped once, then twice, then reduced speed and eased gently to a stop. A perfect landing. Mick said, "Thank god." The Doctor said, "And me." Mick chuckled. The group started filing out. They assembled, a small group of six. The doctor said, "Shall we? I'm sure there's someone who's anxiously awaiting your arrival." He was looking at Mick. Mick moved his eyes away from the doctor. He said, "Yes...I suppose there are." The Doctor took the lead. Mick took the back, just in case. He slid the gun into his right hand, feeling comfort in the cold steel. The hike to the building wasn't that long. They got to the perimeter fence and saw figures. A voice said, "Long time no see." Jack Harkness stepped into the light and gave the doctor a clap on the back. He eyed the rest of the group and said, "And you've brought friends." Jake was scowling. Was he ever happy? A dark shape came bounding out the door. Mick barely had time to register before the figure practically knocked him over. Kas said, "Mick! I'm...sorry. I...Thank god." She gave him a long kiss, then rubbed the stubble on his face and said, "New look?" Mick said, "Trying for one. Didn't know how accurate the Master's descriptions of us were. so i figured I'd hedge my bets, just in case." Jack looked at the group, then said, I'm assuming...Dodge?" Mick said, "He didn't make it." Jack nodded. He said, "There are a great many things to discuss, but you look tired, and frankly, some of you smell. So we'll attend to that first. Luckily, we can take care of it." He walked to the door and led the way in. Mick found an empty room in the research facility and, after some prying, Managed to get Kasandra away from him for a moment. He made a request of the Doctor, who nodded and disappeared. Mick sat down on the floor, and then went a step further and dropped on the floor. He heard a knock and the doctor was there with a disposable razor. Mick thanked him and found the shower. He had no shaving soap, but there was liquid in the dispenser. It wasn't teriffic, but it did the job. It hurt like a motherfucker to try and shave off, but he did it with a minimal amount of cuts. He took the soap with him to the empty shower. He wondered vaguely who'd used it last. Human or no? Probably no. The water was hot enough to boil him. He eased off on the hot and cleaned off the accumulation of being on the run. He stepped out of the shower and wiped the steam off of the mirror. He'd forgotten to ask for fresh clothes. Fuck. He wrapped the towel around his waist. Oh well, he could wear the ones he'd come in with until he could get.... Kasandra was standing in front of the bed, clothes in both hands. One set was for him, and the other set was apparently hers, as she was as naked as a jaybird. Mick found himself unable to control his arousal. Kas looked at his towel and smiled. Mick said, "Dr. Zapatero, what brings you to my temporary humble abode?" Kas walked over and set both sets of clothes on an empty chair in the far corner of the room. She said, "Why Major Dalton, I was under the impression that you'd seen a great many things while you were out and about....." She stepped over to him and he felt the towel fall to the floor. She said, "So I thought I'd come in and...Debrief you." Mick smiled down into her face and said, "Well, I can't imagine anyone I'd rather be debriefed by." They casually made their way to the empty bed and filled it. |

OOC: this takes place directly after Cyds latest post and before the others arrive at the breeding center. your post was awesome, Nick, but i didnt want to lose all i had written last night:D Gwen lay on the ground, breathing heavily, amazed at what had just happened. She had done it. She had finally slept with him, had cheated on Rhys. She waited for the shame, the guilt, to wash over her, but it didn't. She felt no major guilt over what she had just done, no shame. She had wanted this for a long time, long before she had married Rhys, and all she felt right now was elation, that it had finally happened. Her sense came back to her, interrupting her reverie. She was lying, topless, in the mud, signs of their lovemaking all over her, and she was outside, were anybodt could see her. She wisely decided she had better cover up. She stood up, wiping the mud off her jeans, and looked around for her shirt and jacket. She couldn't find either. Where could they be? Jack had taken her jacket off, then her shirt, and he had put them.... Gwen groaned. She remembered Jack bending over to pick up his coffee cup, he must've swiped her top as well. Bastard. He expected her to walk across the base to her room, without a shirt? Gwen sighed. It was either that, or stand around waiting for someone to find her. The fog was still thick, but not that thick. Maybe she could find something to cover herself up with inside. Wiping the last traces of mud from her jeans, Gwen squared her shoulders, mustered up her dignity, and marched into the base. Unfortunatley for Gwen, it was chilly in the base, and her flesh puckered in the frigid air. She started to shiver a bit, rubbing her arms for warmth. To keep her mind off the chill, she started thinking about Jack. Lost in the pleasure she had been, Gwen had noticed that Jack had been...a bit forceful. Not like rape, but still a bit forceful. And his comment about Rhys had upset her. Jack wasn't the dig to barb like that, Jack respected Rhyus, even liked him in a casual sort of way, it wasn't like Jack to make fun of people, especially something so hurtful. The shirt thing, Gwen just chalked up to Jack being Jack, but that was the problem, Jack didn't seem to be Jack, not his normal self. Gwen shook her head. She was being stupid. Jack had just gone through a terrible ordeal, he might still be trying to deal with it, he had essentially raped his best friend and co-worker, albeit with a different mind, and he had threatened to kill herself and Ianto. It would be only natural that Jack wolud be different, that he would try to cope with it. But he could have at least left her with a shirt........ ______________________________________________________ Gwen made it to her room without incident, though she had had to duck into a side closet to avoid being spotted by Tiny. Once in her room, Gwen stripped off her muddy jeans, and went into her shower. The hot water felt especially good after walking through the cold base. Steam rose in great quantities, fogging her mirror. It was during this time she remembered Jack hadn't used a condom. "Oh, shit!" Gwen hissed, thinking frantically. They had done it, they had done it and he hadn't used protection! In a panic, Gwen tried to remember if she was ovulating. The past few days had been such a blur, she didn't remember! She hadn't bothered to keep track. Gwen moaned miserably. What was she going to do? It was way to early to tell, and she was in a breeding center after all. Gwen was pro-choice, but she wasn't sure if she had it in her to get rid of life growing inside her. Hold on, Gwen told herself, you're jumping to conclusions. It only happened once, what were the odds. If it happened again, just make sure to use protection. It was simple, right? But no, they were in a breeding facility, were condoms weren't exactly in abundance. Probably not even any morning after pills. Gwen sighed. It was quite a dilemma. Next time it happened, she supposed they could go cuoitus interruptus. Jack would have to settle for that. Gwen finished her shower, got dressed, and went out of the room. There was much to do to prepare for their departure. ________________________________________________________ It was nighttime now, and Gwen had been hard at work all day, preparing supplies, helping repair vehicles, making plans. She had not seen Jack since the Doctor and the others had arrived, but had heard he had been busy in the board room all day. It was noeasy task, they had to pack enough food and supplies for an extended trip for a large group of people, vehicles to transport them all, medical supplies in case of injuries, weapons to defend them selves. Weapons were especially difficult to find. They didn't have many guns, only those they had taken off the elite during the liberation, but mostly they would have to rely on makeshift swords and spears, but only Anya, Tiny, and the rest of the various resistences knew how to adequatley use these weapons. Then there was the burials for Andi and Dimitri. Gwen had helped bury the bodies. There was a breif service, but everyone moved on quickly. Such was the way of life for these people. Friends die, nothing to do but move on. At the end of the day, Gwen was tired, aching, and ready for sleep. She changed into her pajamas- underwear and a long T-shirt- and prepared for bed. It wasn'tuntil she had slid the covers off her bed that she remembered Jacks offer before. Gwen was tired, but she did want to see Jack again, and now would be a perfect time to put Jack in his place regarding there relaitonship. Her mind made up, Gwen left her room and headed over to Jacks. She knocked on his door, and his voice called out, "Come in." Gwen opened the door, to see Jack standing there, wearing a pair of sweatpants. "Why, hello, Gwen." "Hello, Jack." Gwen said, keeping her tone light." You must have something against wearing shirts." Jack laughed. "C'mon, you can't tell me you didn't get a thrill out of that, wondering if anyone would catch you." Gwen blushed. Deep down, she had thought it might've been exciting to be discovered. "Jack, we need to talk." "Talking can come later," Jack said, stepping close to her, but Gwen stepped back. "I'm serious Jack, we need to talk aboutt this, if you want me to keep doing this." Gwen said, crossing her arms in front of her chest. Jack sighed, but relented. "First, no more cracks about Rhys, understood?" Jack sighed airily, but nodded his head, "Allright, I'll leave him alone." He grinned, and Gwen knew he would break that promise as soon as possible. She would have to be satisifed with it for now, she knew she wouldn't win anything else with that. "Second, keep the games to a minimum, no more taking my shirts afterwards, ok?" "Fine, fine, anything else?" "One last thing. We didn't use protection, and it's unlikely we'll find any anytime soon, so for now, you can't......" Gwen trailed off, knowing he'd pick up on her meaning. Jack grinned, stepping closer to her once again. "Then I guess we'll just have to find some other place I can come in, won't we?" he said, before wrapping his arms around her, drawing her in for a kiss. There was still more Gwen wanted to say, but she lost herself when she felt his lips on hers, his hands caressing her, and she let it go. Together, the two fell back on the bed, locked together in the lovers embrace. |

Kas/Mick - His Scent (OOC: Duh...Adult Content.) Kas could feel Mick’s hot breath on her neck as he kissed it, he felt so good and smelled so much better then she remembered, it was as if every one of her senses and tripled, there had never been anything like it, she had seen so much and experienced so many bad things since they had gotten here, that it was nice to feel him there with her, on her, kissing her. Mick stopped and looked at her, “I’m…you…are you…” Kas smiled up at him and touched his check with her hand, “I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t sure.” She raised her head and their lips met and she kissed him deeply, all of her senses heightening as they kissed. Kas understood what Mick was trying to say, he was an amazing man even in the throws of passion he was still a gentleman, it was something that Kas really respected and loved about him. Kas inhaled deeply taking in his sent, smelling him, even thought he was fresh from the shower, he had a smell that was intoxicating, it was drawing her to him, she was rarely this forward with a man, but in his case, it was overpowering, she sensed it the minute they landed and she met them at the door. She knew she had to have him, and somehow she sensed that he wanted her just as much. Mick started to explore her body, Kas smiled at one point it was a fleeting thought, and it was there for only a moment, but the thought came to her that Mick was working her body much the same he would work a mission, he was on a military search and destroy mission, he wasn’t going to stop till he found all her triggers, he would find one, make a note of it and move on to the next; he covered her body then moved back to her trigger spots paying them closer attention. He was amazing, the care and attention he paid to her making sure that she got the attention she craved and he knew she’d enjoy. She felt him kissing her stomach and the her side as he made his way back down, Kas new her body and new the reactions it would have to him and his touch, she could feel her dampness increase from within she felt Mick’s tongue in her and she reached out her hands for the sheets of the bed and crumpled them in her fist, the feelings where intense to say the least, again she inhaled taking him in intoxicating sent, it was overpowering at times, his attentions focused and he worked her with such care and awareness that soon she let herself go her fist clamped around the bed sheets, Mick looked up at her and smiled she looked down at him breathless without a word between them and soon he moved on. He continued to move around her body finding a new area to explore at times Kas had difficulties catching her breath when he would reach various areas of her body. Mick finished his tour feeling her body tremble under his strong touch he flicked her erect nipple with his tongue, getting it moist then blowing on it softly, the combination of hot, wet the cool was powerful and Kas let out a little whimper, as Mick reached her face and they kissed again Kas could feel him gently start to fill her, Kas wrapped her legs around him forcing him all the way into her. Mick let out a gasp as their bodies met and they looked at each other, his face filled with a smile has she looked up at him and smiled back. Soon their bodies were in perfect time and with each thrust they met perfectly, Kas was excited with how full Mick was able to make her feel, when she had been standing there before him naked Kas was more then impressed with him and his offerings. The motions got much more intense and their kissing became more forced. Kas could feel herself and Mick getting very close their bodies becoming one their two scents combining. Kas let out very intense moon crossed with a whimper as Mick did the same, their bodies convulsing Kas tightened herself around Mick as his thrusts became less and less powerful, she didn’t want him out of her, she wanted him to stay there, he felt incredible. They lay there not moving for what seemed like hours quiet and still Mick resting his head next to Kas’es, Kas whispered into his ear, “that was far beyond…” her breath was soft on the side of his face. Mick finally rolled off her, pulling his now softened self completely out of her, his breath now more regular; he turned and looked at her, his face covered in dying perspiration, “Glad you liked it.” He said with a soft smile touching the side of her face with his hand. Kas couldn’t help but grin at him, “I never had any doubts.” She winked at him this time rolling up on top of him and moving her body so that she was able to slip him back into her. Mick looked at her a coy smiling filling his face as Kas could feel him start to fill her again, “Major I hope you didn’t think this debriefing would be over this soon.” Mick smiled as he looked up at her perfect form, her breast soft as silk and her skin as smooth as butter. “Of course not, it can take as long as we need it too.” Kas laughed, “That’s what I had hopped.” |

Ianto et al - Eye-Candy Things had been rather hectic all day. They had been planning to leave the next morning and there were details to take care of and Ianto, as always before any trip, had many things to do and get ready the them all, despite it all Jack and Gwen were not the best at logistics they often forgot things or just flat out didn’t think of them, leaving it to him to pick up the slack. It was fine actually he and Mathias made a good team, and Ianto enjoyed working with him. Ianto liked his job; even in this situation things were constant and orderly and that is something Ianto really enjoyed. There were weapons to ready, vehicles to check and double check and so on. Ianto and Mathias had worked with some of the others to bury Dimitri and Andi. The service was small and nice, Kas had again said some very nice things. Gwen and Jack literally ignored him for most of the day, but somehow that didn’t matter to him. Kas and Andrew were busy as well and things continued to move along. Things finally started to calm down as night feel and the fog rolled in; Kas, Andrew, Kara, Mathias and Ianto all ate together in the mess hall, the food wasn’t the best, but it has starting to get better as people explored some of the cooking options. Jack had insisted to go out and check the vehicles one last time, and Gwen had taken him some coffee or whatever, so that was that. They all sat chatting and talking trying to make as pleasant conversation as possible. “I have pulled together all the weapons we could.” Andrew said looking at the others. “We are limited but I think we will be fine.” He finished. Kara nodded, “We’ll have to leave some weapons here and make sure that the base is able to be secured even if most of us are gone.” Kas looked at Ianto, “Has Jack said who’s going and who’s staying?” Ianto looked at her shaking his head, “Not yet, I don’t think he fully knows yet and Gwen hasn’t said more then two words to me since this afternoon.” Mathias took his hand in his and gave it a gentle squeeze, Ianto was hopping for more from them, but really how could he blame them, he had really screwed up and hurt them not to mention saying some horrible things, he supposed he deserved it. “Everyone’s been busy, Ianto.” Kas said finally with a smile. “I’m not worried about it, they’ll either handle it or not. I just…I mean I wish…I can’t change the past and right now I’m too happy to worry about it.” Ianto said smiling at Mathias. Kas had noticed the rather large change in Ianto, and she was relieved to see him smile and looking happy. Threw the door Tiny came in running up to them, “There’s a plane, it’s coming to land...” Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at him, Tiny continued, “It caries a single that matches that of Gemini.” Andrew looked at the others, “Mick and the Doctor, it has to be.” Before anyone said anything else Kas was up form the table running to the door. “Tiny get everyone ready, just in case they aren’t with us. Andrew and Kara, go to the towers and make sure they are in our line of site, he will need to take them out if they aren’t friendlies. Mathias and I will go to G’Kar and make sure that anyone in a delicate condition is taken to safety.” Ianto said getting up as everyone else did the same. “On it.” Andrew said pointing to Kara and Tiny and they left the room quickly, “you can take control when needed Ianto Jones.” Mathias said with a smile getting up Ianto looked at him, “I can?” Ianto said, not sure how to take it. “Good, I like it.” Mathias said with a devious smile as they made there way out of the mess-hall. **** Ianto and Mathias walked up the small group. “Doctor, Jake it’s good to see you, welcome.” The Doctor walked up to Ianto shaking his hand, “Ianto you look well. I’m glad.” Jake sneered at everyone, “I don’t suppose there’s any Mr. Pibb here?” Ianto and the others looked at him, “fucking figures Jake said walking off back into the building with the other two, “you had to bring the Mayor didn’t you?” The Doctor smiled, “Well yes.” Ianto looked at the group, “Mick? Where is…” John stepped forward looking at Ianto with a smile, “Eye–candy, good to see you.” John said his eyes looking over Ianto once then stopping on his crotch then moving on, he looked him over again, “nice suit…fits well.” He said with a smile. Ianto looked at John then to Jack then to the Doctor. Ianto didn’t know why but Mathias put a reassuring hand around his shoulder John’s eye narrowed as the Doctor spoke, “Yes…well…that said, it would seem that Mick and Kas have some catching up to do.” John laughed, “more like shagging.” Ianto blushed, “So who is the pretty blond eye-candy, I bet he’s a rocket in bed.” Ianto’s eyes narrowed looking at John his checks still blushed, but he was also annoyed, “Doctor and John, this is Mathias. Mathias this the Doctor and John Hart.” Mathias reached out to shake hands with the Doctor and the Doctor looked at him and smiled, “Nizza, zum Sie su treffen Mathias.” The Doctor said speaking perfect German looking at Mathias who smiled. Mathias nodded and replied, “Das vergrügen ist meins.” “Well done eye-candy I like the upgrade, more your speed, I would say he’s built to last. Really the pinning over Jack was a bit much even for you.” John said coming up to Jack looking at him for a minute then saying, “Now this is the Jack I remember.” John said grabbing Jack the two kissing deeply. Ianto, the Doctor and Mathias looked at the two men snogging, “I guess some things don’t change?” The Doctor said and John broke off the kiss, “you could always join in Doctor, you two eye-candy and the little German boy…that could be fun.” John said with a wink. Ianto looked at John and without thinking, “There’s nothing little about Mathias John. I can assure you of that.” Ianto’s eyes closed at the comment he made, it sounded different in his head it really did. Jack looked at Mathias and smiled coyly, “well in that case the offer…” Ianto stopped him, “Stuff it! The two of you, I’m sure Gwen would enjoy the two of you…if you’ll excuses us, Doctor would you like to meet the others. Sir, I’m sure you can handle John.” Ianto said looking at Jack, more annoyed then anything. He had ignored him the entire afternoon and now John was here, the two of them could do whatever they wanted but Ianto wasn’t going to let John ruin his good mood. The Doctor couldn’t help but smile at Ianto. The Doctor, Mathias and Ianto walked off. “I’m sorry Mathias, that came out all wrong.” Mathias smiled, “it’s ok, but what’s eye-candy?” Ianto rolled his eyes and the Doctor grinned. “It’s what John calls me, it would be a compliment by anyone but him.” Ianto said and Mathias nodded thinking for a minute or two, but not saying anything, “Doctor have you heard anything about Dani.” The Doctor could sense the worry in Ianto’s voice, “No, I’m afraid not, when the Citadel was attacked we had to leave. I’m worried about her.” Ianto nodded, “I am too, there have been attacks all over the world. It’s being called the Reckoning.” The Doctor nodded, “that is what Jack had said before he told us to go to the plane at the Citadel.” Ianto stopped and looked at the Doctor “But Jack has been here, how…” Ianto cut himself off looking at the Doctor, “So Gemini is Jack the real Jack from this reality.” The Doctor looked at Ianto impressed, “well done Ianto.” Ianto smiled and looked away, “well really who else could it of been Doctor.” Mathias looked the Doctor, “That’s my eye-candy.” Mathias said and both Ianto and the Doctor couldn’t help but laugh. Ianto looked at Mathias, “I think it’s better to not say that Mathias.” Mathias nodded, still thinking. Ianto leaned in and gave him a kiss on the check, “but thank you.” They moved on and the Doctor continued to watch the two of them, he was happy to see Ianto smiling, he didn’t think that Ianto did much of that before. The Doctor continued to smile and watch them. Ianto reached stopped at the Board room door and looked at the Doctor, “Doctor there is much I want…” Ianto looked at Mathias then continued, “There is much that we want to talk to you about and we have questions not to mention I’m worried about our Jack here.” Ianto said as they continued down the hall. |

MOD NOTE: I know that I said I'd get the group on the road today but right now it doesn't look like it's going to happen. I'm officially burt out from the weekend and I can't seem to even stick two words together creatively... I think sleeping about 3 hours last night helped a little there too. If someone else wants to do it, PM me and I'll tell you who's going, otherwise I'll do it tomorrow. So sorry. :( |

The Doctor clapped Ianto on the back. “Of course, Ianto, I’m sure we all have a lot of questions. And I’d love to answer yours. If I can.” The Doctor scratched his head and pulled his thick-framed brown glasses from his jacket and slid them on with one narrow finger. “I wonder if you wouldn’t mind….” He was cut off by the sounds of angry shouts and cocking firearms. “What in the blazes??” The Doctor and Ianto looked at each other, frozen, for a moment then they both ran off toward the din at the same moment. A crowd of very angry and agitated-looking people stood in a circle around a figure huddled in a ball on the floor. A couple men were kicking the figure fiercely. “Here, here, now, stop that!” the Doctor shouted as he fought his way to the center of the circle. “What are you doing?? I’m sure this poor fellow has done nothing to warrant such despicable behavior….” The Doctor’s words died in his throat as he turned the figure over and saw the Master’s face peering up at him. “Master? But what? Why?” He yanked the Master up by his lapels and drew his face nose to nose with his own. “Where is Dani??” The Master glared at the Doctor, though his eyes registered helplessness. This wasn’t like the Master at all. The Doctor repeated his question, this time with more compassion. “Master, where is Dani? What have you done with her?” “We don’t need nothing from this asshole, let’s kill him!” Angry voices acknowledged their agreement and the crowd stepped in closer to the two figures in the middle. “Doctor, step away from him,” a man snarled. “Absolutely not! You’re not to harm him!” the Doctor half-stood in front of the Master protectively. “Anyone who tries will have to go through me. Look, I understand what you must all be feeling at this moment, and rightly so. However, I do not condone violence. There are other ways to solve problems without resorting to violence. Humankind has always been quite ingenious at figuring things out. Can’t we do that now? The Master deserves to be punished, but not murdered. And, he is the only one who knows where Dani is. And I’ve got to find her. At any cost.” The Doctor met each one of the angry mob’s eyes. “Please, step away, and leave the Master to me.” “We’ll let him live, for now, so you can find out what you need to know,” the ringleader growled, “but he ain’t safe, not by a long shot.” The burly man cracked his knuckles and walked away with the rest of his mob. The Doctor sighed. There were vigilantes in every group. He’d really have to watch the Master’s back. Ianto watched all this with curiosity and bewilderment. Why would the Doctor protect such a monster? He doubted it was simply because he needed information on Dani’s whereabouts. No, Ianto saw something in the Doctor’s eyes when he looked at the Master. Anger, yes, but also….compassion. Deep and utter compassion. How could the Doctor love someone who had caused so much pain and destruction? The Doctor met Ianto’s eyes and smiled sadly. “We’re the only two left of our kind.” Ianto understood that the Doctor was giving him an explanation to his unasked question, and he nodded. Ianto understood the Doctor. Yes, they were a lot alike, he and the Doctor. They both loved even when it made more sense not to. Their compassion would always win out over the hurt, the anger, the disappointment. Ianto understood at once, just by the look in the Doctor’s eyes, that the Doctor had not given up on the Master-- that he continued to hope that the Master would abandon his evil ways and return back to the childhood prankster that once called the Doctor “friend”. |

Ianto/the Doctor/the Master/Mathias - All I Can Hope For Ianto raked his hands through his hair. He looked at the Master who was smirking after being saved, then to the Doctor who looked worried and concerned it was a look Ianto was sure he had many times on his face when it came to Jack or one of the team members, then to Mathias, who like the others wanted the Master dead. Ianto thought for a moment then called over, “Tiny and Kara.” They walked up to him at looked at the Master, Ianto looked at them then continued, “take the Master to the cells and lock him up, make sure he is comfortable remove any and all technology from him, just in case this is trap and bring it to the Doctor, no one else, only the Doctors get’s his belonging.” Everyone looked at Ianto, we was taking a rather commanding role, one they were not used to seeing, “and I want him guarded by a mix of Elite and Humans.” Tiny looked at Ianto, “But…” Ianto sighed, “We may need him, if things are as bad as we think, we may need him...Kara Tiny I trust you both to do this, I know this is going to be hard, but please.” Ianto looked at the Doctor, “Will that work for you Doctor?” The Doctor looked at Ianto and nodded, “Yes, thank you.” Ianto smiled. “Ianto we can not allow him to live, he must pay for his crimes.” The heavy German voice said, it was Mathias who had been quiet till now. Ianto looked at him, he saw the anger and hatred in his eyes, the cry for revenge. “Mathias, he will pay, I promise you, but for now he has to be kept safe.” Mathias eyes never looked left the Master, “He’s a monster and destroyed this planet.” Ianto took his hand and held it to his chest, “and killing him won’t change any of that.” “Better listen to the eye-candy, pretty boy. He’s right.” The Master said mocking the two of them. Ianto turned and looked at the master, he was getting angry and he knew if he didn’t get rid of him now, he would kill him, the Doctor be dammed. Ianto looked at the Doctor, “He is your friend and I respect that, if you want to see him to the cells I would understand.” The Doctor smiled, “No, I trust you Ianto, you trust these people, then that is good enough for me and more then he deserves I’m sure.” Ianto couldn’t help but smile. Ianto walked up to the Master, “You deserve death for what you did and I’m sure we’ll regret not killing you.” The Master smiled at him, “Does someone miss his old fuckbuddy Jack?” The Master leered at him. “Get him out of here.” Kara and Tiny took the Master off to the cells. The Doctor watched as they took him to the cells and then watched as the three disappeared behind the door leading to the lock-up. Ianto knew the safest place for the Master would be the cells, they could figure out what to do with him later. Ianto looked at the Doctor, “I know how hard it is and I’m sorry. Tiny and Kara will make sure he’s ok. You have my word.” The Doctor again smiled his demeanor changing now that the Master was gone he looked much like the Doctor Ianto was more familiar with. “You said you had some questions for me Ianto what might they be?” Ianto and Mathias looked at him Mathias still not pleased with the idea of not killing the master, but knew now was not the time to challenge anyone on this, “Are you sure now is…” the Doctor smiled and adjusted his glasses, “now is as good a time as any. You know before any more surprises happen.” Ianto and Mathias looked at him and they headed back to the Boardroom. The Boardroom was empty except for the three of them. G’Kar was leaving right as they entered. The attacks for the time being had stopped, it was as if the Kindred and the Elite where regrouping planning there next more. She was going to got and check the Master and see that he was ok. G’Kar unlike the humans didn’t care for the Master one way or the other, she knew he was a bad man that needed to be removed from power, but he had never done anything to her or the other Elite so she didn’t necessarily want him dead, she would be just as happy to have him locked away forever. Once they were seated Ianto explained what happened to Jack and what he had done to get rid of the devises. Ianto explained the good, bad and the ugly. Now was not the time to show himself in a good light, now was the time for the truth and the Doctor seemed like the right choice, other then Jack he was the most qualified in these matters. Ianto explained too how Jack seemed to be back to himself, but somehow different something wasn’t quite right. The Doctor sat and listened as both Ianto and Mathias talked filling in bits and pieces of the story for each other, of course Ianto had the most information. The Doctor found it interesting the changes in Ianto, humans were very unique in their capability to change and grow and Ianto who had been through the most of any of them, had also probably changed the most and grown the better for it. When they finished talking the Doctor nodded and smiled, “Maybe it isn’t Jack that changed maybe it’s you and Jack is having trouble adapting to the new you.” Ianto nodded thinking but there was still more to it, after all he still had this things implanted in his mind. Even thought G’Kar had said they were deactivated and not working there was still a chance that they still might affect his brain somehow, “It’s possible, but I still think there is more to it, there is something dark still in his eyes.” The Doctor again nodded this time looking at Mathias, “maybe jealousy.” Mathias smiled and took Ianto’s hand again the Doctor smiled, “and I think he won’t be the only one.” Mathias looked at the Doctor and Ianto. Ianto blushed but with a sadder look on his face, “We’ll find her and I’m sure she’ll be just fine.” The Doctor nodded, “I hope so, I did promise her parents after all. I’m sure once we get this all sorted…” Ianto looked at the Doctor stopping him, “about that…Doctor do you know what will happen to Mathias?” The Doctor looked at the two men, “I figured there was more you wanted to ask me.” “I don’t want to loose him.” Mathias said smiling at the Doctor, “Ianto said you were brilliant and if anyone would know it would be you.” The Doctor smiled, he would have blushed if it was all true. Ianto licked his lips, “It’s just that if we set things right….” The Doctor reached out and touched Ianto’s hand. “I’m not sure what will happen, the universe is a tricky place, but if there is something I can do I will. Same goes for Jack I will watch him and make sure that I don’t see anything out of the ordinary for him. I’m glad you brought this to my attention Ianto, thank you.” Ianto nodded, that was all he could hope for. |
