Heroes: The Uprising ![]() Man is a narcissistic species by nature. We have colonized the four corners of our tiny planet. But we are not the pinnacle of so-called evolution. That honor belongs to the lowly cockroach. Capable of living for months without food. Remaining alive headless for weeks at a time. Resistant to radiation. If God has indeed created himself in his own image, then I submit to you that God is a cockroach. They say that man uses only a tenth of his brain power. Another percent, and we might actually be worthy of God's image. Unless, of course, that day has already arrived. The human genome project has discovered that tiny variations in man's genetic code are taking place at increasingly rapid rates. Teleportation, levitation, tissue regeneration. Is this outside the realm of possibility? Or is man entering a new gateway to evolution? Is he finally standing at the threshold to true human potential? Shanti virus is gone. The world has been saved, but along the way it has taken great sacrifice. Some people are no longer with us. But still the rest of us keep on fighting in the world where laws of the jungle seem to rule. Even without the virus there is a lot to deal with. The company is still there. Sylar is still alive and well. Not to mention the new faces that have arrived to make your life more of a mess than it already is. There is no escape. You can trust no one. The Company has picked up its act once again. The rebellions, a new found group with even some familiar faces, including Matt, Peter and Hiro, have discovered a great secret that seems devastating: The vice president of the United States isn’t who she seems to be. They have discovered that this mysterious woman works for The Company. Who knows how corrupted the White House really is? The rebellions know they’ll need all the help they can get. They are already planning what to do. It will be a long road to hell and back. And they all know it. Meanwhile there are numerous new people emerging with powers. They live without realizing they are in danger. Most of them do not know The Company is there, they do not know Sylar is after them. They just try to live on with their abilities. Some handle it well and some are not doing so good. ![]()
