Well, welcome to my topic on Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith! All spoilers containing *new* information on Episode III will be in a spoiler tag, so if you see anything that you haven't heard of before (storywise) you've been under a rock for the past 20 years! But it *may* give away things concearing the film's dynamics, although others may not consider it to count really. First off, want to see the ultimate SWIII spoilers website? Look here: http://right-thoughts.us/library/starwars3/ toward the bottom is a picture of Anakin after he's come out of the pit, and before he's Darth Vader! and... Spoiler: click to toggle Well, next I would like to introduce you to a Star Wars website that was right on EVERYTHING about Episode II, he claims to be friend's with George Lucas, and gets information WAY EARLY! Heck, he even had the Episode II scripts before it became "officially" public domain (for edu. purposes only). He was right about all the spoilerific things on Episode II WAY before he could have known without being Lucas' friend, but Lucas answering questions on a regular basis? Ok, yeah that seems kinda... off, but every answered question has been right! They even knew about the TV show (that's going to be made) WAY before it was even publicly announced! http://www.supershadow.com He even answered the question as to Spoiler: click to toggle Personally, I'd like to ask why the WHOLE FREAKING MOVIE IS SHOT ON A GREEN-SCREEN!!! It's a movie, not a video game for heaven's sake! Even the wookie planet has the background shot seperately (somewhere in Peru or something) so that he can sit on his lazy *** and make the WHOLE movie in his studio! But the special effects have definately been upped (see the trailers), after all, Episode II was horrible, so they *had* to. There is one scene that was shot on location, but it was during Episode II and it's where Obi-Wan delivers Luke to Owen and Beru... they changed his hair since that movie, so I'm kinda curious to what happened with *that*... Yeah, I didn't like Episode II, but I didn't see people's problem with Episode I... I mean, it had great music, decent acting (Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor! give the kid a break, I mean, what do you expect? he's a kid!), a good balance of special effects, and DARTH MAUL!!! Can anyone help me out here (prefferably one of those danged Episode I haters...)? Well, I listened to the Episode III soundtrack the other night, and it was AWESOME! Much more intense than anything else before, still sounds like Star Wars, and has much more vocal works that top Duel of the Fates a million times over! And there are several of them too! Well, thoughts feelings, complaints? I'm also interested in what people have to say about any other Star Wars movies, so don't feel restricted just to this one... oh, and make sure to have SWIII the main focus, though! |

I LOVED IT! It was sad though. Very, very sad. ![]() Especially when Mace Windu died. He kicked so much butt, I'd have liked to see him stay alive, but he was fated to die... ![]() General Grievous was... um... rather dumb. An overconfident and wussy Darth Vader ripoff "*coughcough* heheheh *coughcough*" Anakin burning up and being reassembled was gross... and there were children in the audience! ...then again, those same children likely went to LOTR, go figure...And, um, yeah, better than I+II put together! And best of all... JAR-JAR WAS A MUTE! DIDN'T SAY A WORD! ![]() So, what does our resident movie critic think?

3 1/2 stars on the original critiqing scale. If you don't know what that is, I'll personally casturate you (after all I *am* in NZ), but I'll explain anyway: It's a 4 star rating system that has two "off the scale" ratings which are rarely given out. The one is "turkey" which is 0, and basically the worst movie ever, and the other is "5 stars" which is basically the best movie ever. There is no such thing as 4 1/2 stars. Turkey rating - self explanitory 1 star - Poor 2 stars - fair 3 stars - good 4 stars - excellent 5 stars - best movie ever Upon Duke's request, I will post my review tomorrow. ![]() And post in that old topic of mine, on page 2... |

Thanks Possum ![]() Anyway, I'm going to start voicing my thoughts here. First off, f**k children. There were some in my theater too, and believe me, they were too noisy to have been traumatized by anything. Secondarily yeah, I agree with Garrett, much better than I and II put together. I thought Grevious was stupid until it was revealed he had organic parts. Guess I could have known it from the start if I had seen that crappy cartoon... And can somebody explain to me how the fire on Anakin got extinguished? Oh and I assume that was Wedge's father we saw near the end... right? The one thing that really disappointed me, was the battle at the Jedi temple. I was on the edge of my seat thinking "Hell yeah, finally Anakin goes dark side on those stuck up, know it all, Jedis!" and what do we get to see? That Ani kills children. I wouldn't mind that much if this was after he thought he had killed Padme, but what really made me mad is that we didn't see him single handedly take on groups of jedis at a time. That's what I was looking forward to. Furthermore, how come Dooku can use lightning with no problems but when Palpatine does it he turns into an old man? And why doesn't he degenerate any more when using them against Yoda? Bah. They should have let him age naturally between the movies. And one more thing, if Obi Wan had to be trained so he could appear after his death, how come Anakin can do it after his in Return of the Jedi? But nevermind that or the cheesy dialogue he has with the Emperor after Windu died. It's still a great movie. Especially because
and finally Bail! Too bad he didn't take Jar-Jar to Alderaan. Also I saw no Kyber Crystals. I hope Possum has an explanation for this  On that note... does anybody know if, according to canon, that legend about the Sith that could save lives (how anyway?) was the truth or a lie? |

The reason for no kyber crystals was "not enough time". They are in some of the books as well. Oh, but in the books Anakin was actually pushed IN the lava... |

That was truth. He could stop death. Palpatine was his apprentice. I used to have a book... sorta an encyclopedia, but I don't have it anymore.... it said all that kinda stuffs. |

But does it really make sense for the power of the dark side to be that one that stops death? Or does he mean it created zombies  http://www.brunching.com/starwarsforeshadow.html |

I forgot to ask: is Darth Sidius' dead master the "father" of Anakin? And whoever originally had the prophecy of the one that would bring balance to the force? Also, is there any reason for the differently colored Light Sabers? Windu was the only one with a purple saber and he apparently was better than Yoda... |

No, Anakin didn't have a father. It's symbolic of the Lord Jesus Christ. Most fantasy is a mirror to religion and the bible. But I don't know about the rest... |

I believe you misunderstand my question. When Palpatine tell Anakin about his master, among other things he says that he was so powerful he could coax midichlorians into creating life. Which is exactly how Anakin was born, by the (damn) midichlorians. |

Oh... that's an interesting thought. Uh, I'm not sure. But I do believe that it was supposed to be caused "naturally", but don't quote me on it. |

Somebody just exaplained to me what the heck happened to Palpatine's face: apparently it was not the lightning shooting in itself as I originally thought (which made no sense) The thing is, Windu's saber was reflecting them straight in his face. |
