Even I admit that there were some good ps1 games. Castlevania above all others. But yeah, in my book they don't lit a candle to Nintendo's past.

 But Soul Calibur II was widescreen and it was on the GC...

I agree on the rest up to widescreen hack, hwere I wish to ask: like those 14:9 GBA NES games?

Photo realistic Link? I don't think that's going to happen. Even with TP Zelda always has a anime feel to it, and personally I like it that way.
But I know what you mean :)'

I hate GC's controller, to me it was a step back from the VB and N64's chassis (not the actual functions, the shape)
I've been wanting to start a joypad thread forever... maybe I will soon.

Maybe the revolution consists in pissing off fans so much that they will go into a revolution?

What the (censored)?!? I don't want another (censored)ing DS for cryin' out loud! It's bad enough they overpimped GBA<->GC stuff without having a touchscreen thing on this controller too!

And no HD-TV support, that's still a (censored)ing stupid idea.

*looks over to Revolution, now holding up "I'm #4!! I'm #4!!" foam finger*

Imagine if you could download a never before seen Zelda game, with Live Voice acting throughout and online scoreboards and other cool junk. For a small fee of course, but think how many Zelda fans would be drooling all over their wireless controllers at the thought of playing a lost game...

Hes right! It is lost games! You can play it on an emulator but playing it on a computer isnt the same as playing it on an console! And the emulator version has been modified! But if Nintendo itself fixed the bug and relased the game on revlution Zelda fans will go crazy when those lost games, only saved troguh emulation become able to play! Its a good strategy for Nintendo to relase those games!

But the thing is: will they? Or will we get another NES-Mini cop out?

It's official. I'm not getting a Revolution. My mind's made up.

And Ninty will go... it's only a matter of time...

I'll probably get it whatever it's like, if anything to continue my Zelda collection (and know how the story develops)
But that doesn't mean I'm happy...

Triforce of Lamedom...
...Now I remember how I got the name lameboyadvance.

It was about the time of the emergence of the GBA and GC. I don't know what it was exactly (come to think of it, it might have been the lack of X/Y buttons on the GBA, and with SNES remakes coming out... >_<). Anyway, that and the crappy size of the GC controllers, plus the fact it only had 2 memcard slots, and they weren't in the controllers ala N64, plus I think the fact it didn't copy Sony/M$ with the ability to play DVDs, all meant I was feeling pissed at Nintendo at the time.

...Anyway, that feeling has again returned. After the glory days of NES, and SNES even, Nintendo seems intent on putting themselves as far away from the gaming spotlight as they can. From selling Rare (I don't care how crap the games had become, they could've fired the staff and made the BK/PD games inhouse) to the overpimping of the classics that I love, to refusing to include apspects in their (previous) consoles that are the reasons the other two are at the top (online support, backwards compatibility, focusing on gamers of all ages, not just kiddies, even (read: especially) hacking/burning easibility) and has allowed them to keep their status, means that the company I have grown up adoring is slowly causing their own failure... :(
All this pisses me of so much... :head explodes:

Anyway, I expressed my opinion in a crappy alteration to the name of their (then) current handheld. ;)

All things considered, I'd say the GBA managed to do fine without those buttons... but just barely. Certainly the Metroid games would have had a great benefit out of them.
But yeah, the GC controller is hate. Both because you must be a midget to hold it comfortably and because you can't any two of the main four buttons with ease (as was the case with the SNES)
Also I would have put buttons and C stick the way the Virtual Boy joypad did with its second d-pad (thata is, the stick to the right of the buttons). As it is, that yellow zit is useless.

Don't you mean especially SNES? ;)

Personally I don't mind their selling Rare, after seeing Grabbed by the Ghoulies I couldn't help but crack up about it. But yeah they should have kept some franchises... but then would Microsoft have bought it if they did?
Personally I don't give a crap about Banjo Kazooie and Perfect Dark. I mean sure, BK was better than Mario 64, but you could say it basically was Mario64-2. We don't really need it, Nintendo could just make a new (good) Mario game and we wouldn't be missing BK (besides Tooie was terrible)
PD was never my thing. I played it extensively but I like Jet Force Gemini way better (both for the amazing control system which would have been even better with a second stick, and because it is more action based, I hate stealth)
Also I wish they had either kept Killer Instinct or (more likely because it wasn't really Nintendo's style) made their own fighting game... well we got Smash Bros so I guess I should be happy.

Well, Revo will have online support and backwards compatibility, but that's probably about it.

The problem is that most gamers don't like the Revolution, and that there's even some old-time Ninty fans that are now getting the PS3 instead... I'm kinda worried here...

Being a niche market isn't so bad... if done right, which they are not (I mean they're still trying to milk those old games, and they are not niche just because they target old school gamers, they are because of blatant mistakes)
