Who's your favorite possum?

Ok, where do I begin? I've been SO busy these last few days. The most immediate thing I need a bit of help with (like... within the next day :P), is a script I have to write for my Film Literature class. Yeah... I'm doing a Zelda script. It's a short film, and is supposed to take about 9-10 minutes of screen time. Meaning about a minute a page depending on the amount of dialogue I have. Basically, I'm needing help coming up with a *somewhat* original story involving Link having an inner conflict with himself (via flashbacks and such). I have a basic idea, but I don't have any idea of a physical (yet neccessary) conflict for him to be having... I mean, he can't fight Ganon in a spectacular battle or anything, because A. it would take to long, and B. it would be a pain to write. I just need ideas, not a full story, as I'm writing it (). You might be wondering why exactly I'm writing a video game to movie adaption... the answer's quite simple: I have an idea for a Zelda story that I'd like to write that just won't work with my fan game (or any amateur fan game for that matter). The real, REAL answer is: I have to storyboard it, but I can use pictures or artwork done by others (or naturally draw it myself), so I though: why not just take screenshots? I mean, that gives me a degree of freedom, while making it easy on me. The hard part is writing something that will fit with the content in both OOT and MM, as well as coming up with plausible angles. So keep that in mind for any suggestions you may have ![]() Secondly, I'm still working on my fan game (but it's hard to communicate with team members over the net... meaning I haven't talked to them in a couple of weeks), and I'm still keeping my promise about having a good solid demo ![]() Thirdly, I'm still writing that "mini" book of mine, but I may or may not get around to posting some debates anytime soon. Fourthly: my site. I'll talk more about this later... but trust me, this is worth you reading, when I get around to posting it

I was wondering if you were going to post anything more on that - I was looking forward to a bit of debating, although I'd probably have had to bone up on American politics a bit to be able to add anything relevent ![]() Good to hear that you're still working on your fan game - I remember hearing you mention on another board (Gamers Advanced, probably) that things have been slow with contacting other team members over the internet. As for your Zelda story - from what you said, it sounds like the conflict is on two levels; Link is going to be involved in an immediete physical confrontation as part of the main action, with him having an internal conflict told via flashbacks as the action takes place in the present? |

Then I think I'll post something tomorrow. I have a good 400 posts or so on the debate boards at GA, but the MOD who seems to be most active there, likes to talk down to everyone... especially me. But he and I have sorted most of that out ![]() Anyway, n00bs flood that board... I guess that makes me the king?
Yep ![]() EDIT: I was thinking something along the lines of what they did with Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (albeit, not as poorly structured... man, that story was a let down... not that the actual game was any better... I can never understand the "amazing" story that it had... because... well, there wasn't one. :/). Particularly toward the end with you-know-who, that nobody ever cared about dying (:D). If you've seen that movie... I just don't know what I should have him doing that wouldn't be too generic... you know?
It's absolutely terrible... huge pain... know anyone good at animating/creating models?

I would like an internal conflict dealing with flashbacks involving Saria. I always wondered how Link felt at the end of OoT and everything (or was she in MM? I get the plots and characters of both completely mixed together and intermingled.)... or, going by the whole idea of Link missing Navi, have thoughts about that? I don't know. FU... I had better ideas in my head, but I'm too sleepy to think better than this. Good luck though. |
| I'm officially retired from beta testing, and resign my duties to those who have the time to do it. | |
