The following are a variety of different findings and information results I came across while doing a search via Japanese websites for BS Zelda content. Apparently, ゼルダの伝説 古代の石版 (Which has been romanized as "Kodai no Sekiban") is actually referred to as Inishie no Sekiban by most Japanese BS Zelda related websites including the Japanese Zelda no Densetsu Wikipedia article. Even though the kanji can be read as "kodai" it apparently is pronounced as "inishie". However while most do in fact call it by "Inishie no Sekiban", there are still a few who call it "Kodai no Sekiban". Incidently, "Inishie" and "Furu(i)" (old, ancient) are the exact same kanji character - 古 and mean exactly the same in terms of context. Japanese Wikipedia Article Many of the Japanese BS and Zelda communities seem to have written articles and forum comments related to hoping that the Nintendo Wii's online capabilities will allow gamers to experience this game once again. Also, most of the content and information about sekiban seems to be mostly gathered by fans who were interested in the Bandai Satellaview rather than the online Japanese Zelda communities. So checking through those Japanese BS-X sites may prove to be more useful than Japanese Zelda sites. Someone in Japan recorded a soundlink/video collection set of several BS titles. The first Zelda set refers to the Zelda 1 BS Remake while the second set is reffered to only as four weeks of BS Zelda Map2 which I believe is also the Zelda 1 remake, but I'm unsure of this. While this person's collection seems rather extensive, he gives a firsthand warning not to be contacted for the files. BS Zelda VTR File Collection BS Zelda Ancient Stone Tablets is also apparently featured in a VHS Only video called - History of Zelda. History of Zelda VHS Yahoo Auction However, due to the rarity of this video and the fact that its current listing is at 9,800+ yen (Basically around $98.00) plus whatever middleman fees you would have to pay using a Japanese auction middleman service such as Celga, it would be fairly pricey. Still, one must wonder what is actually shown on that VHS tape. There are around 5-6 days left on the auction and the seller says that the tape is the real deal and not a rental, so it is at master quality which is a little less than DVD quality video. This guy here gives a detailed explanation in Japanese as to how to play the BS Zelda 1 remake using various emulation settings and such. I believe it only applies to the Zelda 1 remake and not Ancient Stone Tablets. Still it's worth a look see if any of the steps he has preformed prove useful in any way. BS Zelda How to Play Article Apparently there was a recent posting of BS Zelda video footage posted through the Peer-to-Peer client known as Peercast.org that Japanese use often in trading files. The news was something about a ten year old video footage of one of the BS Zelda games and was posted around March or so of this year. After downloading the Peercast program and attempting to use it, I failed at finding any related content for Zelda, or have absolutely no idea how to go about using the program. Best of luck to whoever wants to try. Also, some footage of the First Boss battle of BS Zelda Ancient Stone Tablets with dungeon tiles and floor, was uloaded for testing purposes at Youtube.com 3 weeks ago. You Tube BS Zelda Ancient Stone Tablets First Boss Battle Video Hope this research helps in some way. Edit: And... I just happened to see this on ebay. I'm not exactly sure what it is other than the description provided or even how rare it is, but since it seemed a very affordable price I decided what the hell. I might have something interesting on it. If not, I can always place it next to my Legend of Zelda Animated Series DVD. lol "Well ex'scuuse me, princess." -SkyeWelse |

Those are some really GREAT finds there!!! SkyeWelse, can you speak Japanese? Anyways, I think we should research a bit more on the name, as if it's wrong, it's should definatively be corrected as this is the website most English speaking people will coming to look for information about the BS Zelda games. It' good to know that someone has recorded the sutff from the BS-X games, too bad that he won't send them to anybody. This also seems to give proof to the fact that MAP2 of BS Zelda actually exist... Sad part is that noone ever dumped it for us. <_< That footage on Youtube.com is most likely fake. The one who made it loaded up AST week 1 in an emulator using Euclid's patch and recorded it. After that it was uploaded on the site. At least it looks like that. That last dvd on sale that you posted is not that rare, as AFAIK two forumers here own it, that being cent and lameboyadvance. At least the cover of it looks similar but I could be mistaken. Anyways, lameboyadvance what's up with that rip you were supposed to make of the dvd? |

Isn't there a Japanese Wikipedia article specific for the BS Zelda games? Just wondering what info it could happen to contain (would be great to find a list of the music tracks used in the weeks)
So, in other words, he's going "I have BS-X footage and you never wi-ill! Nya, nya!" ? Ass.
Cent could be interested in it, but I suspect that to be just the DVD from the last bit of your post in its VHS release. That, and he doesn't speak Japanese (so contacting the seller would be... difficult).
How does that make it fake?
By own, do you mean any physical copy? Or the original disk? Not that it matters really that I have a burned copy of it, as long as the AST part somehow made it to the site. |

I think he ment fake as in it's not actual footage of the actual boss room as it actually appeared when originally downloaded, but rather just footage of the restoration patch in effect. |

Only partially. I only know enough to get myself into trouble. lol Most of the information found was explained to me through the efforts of my girlfriend of whom I live with that is native Japanese. I must have caught her at a good time since she was helping me wade through various Japanese BSZelda articles for a several hours last night when she basically has no interest in the game herself. Hehe, I believe her comments were something along the lines of "Why don't you all play a NEW Zelda game!?" lol Honestly I can't really argue that, only shrug my head at not being able to better explain why I enjoy older games and romhacking projects as much as I do. lol
Um, yeah. Basically. He's basically posting an entire list of BS games he has full recordings off and telling people that he won't release the content so don't bother contacting him. It's really quite a tease. Honestly however, if people are planning on bothering him about it, I would suggest that it be a nice long message from many, many fans requesting that he release only one of the Zelda sets he has and perhaps offering something for it. As low as that sounds, I think that would be the only way to really make an effective proposal against someone who has apparently been bothered about this sort of thing in the past. By the way, what exactly is MAP 2? Was it just another name of the BZ Zelda 1 remake or was it actually a second quest to it? As for the video, I'm not sure what is on it really. But I'm excited to watch it. lol. Regarding Zelda, I'll collect anything, even if I don't know what I'm really getting into. A.k.a. collecting all three Zelda Philip's CD-I games and purchasing a Philip's CD-I system to play them only to discover "The Trashforce of the Gods". -SkyeWelse |

I forgot to mention that if he or anyone was really interested in participating in an online Japanese Yahoo auction, they don't necessarily have to speak Japanese or even deal with the seller directly. There are middleman services such as Celga, that you can deal in order to have them bid on it for you and have it sent to their address in Japan and then mailed to you directly. It is expensive since you are paying the middleman service about 10% plus you are paying for the auction's ending price plus the mailing fee for having it sent to the Japanese address and then the big fee of having it internationally shipped outside of Japan... But even still it is a great way to find some extremely rare finds, especially when most Japanese people living in Japan are going to be reluctant to try and deal with a non-Japanese speaking person and send out a package outside of Japan.
I see. That's a shame if no one ever found a way to dump this MAP2 well. That would have been neat to play. -SkyeWelse |

I english at the end of the video makes me think its just our rom with euclid's translation patch but the only difference I noticed is that the room before the boss room has 8 gray tiles just below the northern door. duke, is this in the the patch that you and euclid made? I am interested in that video, I'll look into that celga service. |

Skyewelse, Is there anyway you could you email the seller of the History of Zelda VHS tape, and ask him if it is the same thing as the dvd you found on ebay. Maybe you could email him the link. |

You noticed a difference from the patched game and are asking me if it is in the patched game? Anyway, I'm pretty sure it was in the preliminary version but that I moved it in another room while working on making it definitive. |
