Thank you for playtesting ![]() Yes, I know this problem with the sound. That is why you start with the first sword in my first savestate. But if you use this savestate, everything works fine ![]()
hehe... now it has to be one gender And since all my other savestates play with the boy, I used also this mascot for the 1st zst.
Yes, this is necessary for every week. Otherwise the game is freezed.
Oh yes, it does. The old man in map2 D8 is in the correct place... however, I'll testplay the game in the next days ![]() EDIT:
Did you try if Pachuka's Girl patch works? |

Nope ![]() It seems like Japanese translators, like good rom hackers have a tendency to evaporate... And why do you still call me Duke? I thought we were on a first name basis. No need to use titles

I know about this problem, and also the cause. The game writes some FF bytes into a certain position into the SRAM which probably lead into the game thinking that you've won the game. Editing them to 00 will stop the victory music from playing.
Sorry for this. Created the patches at about 1 AM so I guess I used the wrong roms to create the IPS patches from resulting in this problem. Updated version from here: http://real_hotdog.sitesled.com/Pictures/bszm2_gender11.zip |

Thank you for the update, too, Real Hotdog. I'll have to try it out after work, but I'm fairly confident it works. I just stopped by to see what was going on with that candy. I see I'm still a little too early.

Would you rather me you use your real first name? No problem. I have never seen anyone use their real names on this site. |

No problem, I never really considered Duke to be proper but I have no prob with Serkol. Anyway, is that name from Zelda's Adventure? |

Didn't Beno translate KnS? I'm sure I've seen him around somewhere recently... |

No it's not. But there was a Duke Onklet in Zelda The Wand of Gamelon. You've seen him around Coinilius? I haven't seen him since the last manga release. |

Okay... just did a lot more game testing (the save states and stuff) and I've a few notes for you all! Yay for beta testing!! Now I have to warn, there are a few "spoilers" to this post, so I shall use the "spoiler" tag a LOT in this post! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Save State "1" notes for week two: ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1: Game starts at 1:07 (to avoid 7-minute wait, normally it should start at 1:00) 2: Player is always the male mascot (not a glitch, just annoying :P) 3: Dungeon 1 Bow still collectable (should NOT be if truly week 2!) 4: Dungeon 1 Boss still beatable (should NOT be if truly week 2!) 5: Dungeon 1 Heart container AND Triforce piece still available (should NOT be if truly week 2!) 6: Dungeon 2 Wooden Boomerang (if in inventory) NOT collectable (should NOT be if truly week 2 anyway!) 7: Dungeon 2 Boss still beatable (should NOT be if truly week 2!) 8: Dungeon 2 Heart container AND Triforce piece still available (should NOT be if truly week 2!) 9: Spoiler: click to toggle 10: Spoiler: click to toggle 11: Spoiler: click to toggle 12: Spoiler: click to toggle 13: Spoiler: click to toggle 14: Spoiler: click to toggle 15: Spoiler: click to toggle 16: Spoiler: click to toggle 17: Spoiler: click to toggle 18: Spoiler: click to toggle 19: Spoiler: click to toggle 20: Spoiler: click to toggle 21: Spoiler: click to toggle 22: Spoiler: click to toggle 23: Spoiler: click to toggle 24: "Wait sign" at - 1:09, 1:20, 1:30, 1:40, 1:45 & 1:50 displays as: "BCD EFGHIJKLMNOP" "RST UVWXYZ" "Wait" 25: Timer events correct at - 1:12, 1:13 (effect end), 1:19, 1:25, 1:28 (effect end), 1:30, 1:33, 1:35, 1:38 & 1:47 26: All text (minus the Wait signs) are correct, including former dungeons, Heart Container/Red potion choice, Money Making game, and Old lady/Old man areas. 27: Can play beyond 57 minutes (not entirely "correct") ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, I do have to wonder... why can I go back and re-beat the first two dungeons?! I would think that if it is a true save state from week one, it should not allow you to do this, since you have the two Triforce pieces from those dungeons. Plus you should NOT be able to re-collect items in your inventory, but I just did! And lastly, I had eleven heart containers by the end of the second week's save state just recollecting heart containers and the correct ones. Though the only one that you can't recollect is the one from the "heart on the beach" that shows up only in week one. I'm going to check out week three's save state and see if I can do that there too, but I have to do that tomorrow. Also, I did try out Real Hotdog's new version of the Gender patch. Works PERFECTLY for swapping back and forth between genders. I am VERY happy with that. Unfortunately, doesn't let you change the gender for the save states, but that's a given. All that's left for us to test is week three and four through the save state. Though I'm assuming everyone else has already gone through everything and beaten the game and this isn't needed. Eh. I guess I'm just "bored"? Edit: I just noticed the "candy" in the main page!! I'm happy to see the updated patched rom sitting in the downloads section, and the individual patches too! Seeing the pix also made me smile, and gives me further reason to keep playing the game to it's conclusion. ![]() Just one suggestion: Place a download for "SNESGT" in the emulators section for people that haven't encounted this SNES emulator, and aren't bothered to hunt for it. I'm not really wanting to get it, myself, I could easily... but some gamers aren't going to know where to go for it, much like there were members that didn't know how to put a header on their copies of the rom. |

Thank you for beta testing You've got me. I was in hurry and needed to upload all these states. One Update followed another, so I did not have time to play the whole game again when I did create these savestates, this is the reason why you can recollect them in every week. I did patch for them - not collect them. But as long as you don't enter the former dungeons and collect Heart Containers there, it is no matter if you collect items twice. If I have really really much time I'm going to prepare real savestates.
Thanks, however, I noticed that some items show up with a white background. I'll fix that ![]()
Yeah, you are right. I'll give a Link to the download section of SnesGt |
