I fear if I go through this game one more time like that, I just might start seeing Octorocks and Stalfos in my sleep. Bad enough I'm humming the overworld theme constantly now.

Would you believe I am normally like that?

You are one troubled man, Serkol. :P But that's why we like you so much. :) If I weren't feeling so lazy, I might actually be doing something productive with the savestates.

Yup, I'm certainly not plain and boring ^_^

And laziness is Godliness.

Hey, I have to ask a serious question for a moment. Are there any plans to attempt to get Roto or Nom to take a gander at Map-2? I know we're all enjoying the savestates and everything... but I'm really hoping someone will attempt to get this game in working order.

Okay... back to zany. Being boring and plain wouldn't be so great. As for Godliness... I can't claim that title... even when I want to be lazy, I have to do something. It's my nature. :P

However, I would still feel happiest if I started to work on an improved version of Con's savestates... not because his was bad or anything, it was the first time I beat Map-2 because of his saves...

I don't mind :) Yours are much more better!

While playing Map 1 I found another glitch which does not appear in Map 2:
At 1:45 in both maps the whirlwinds are gone, but the Lost Woods do only remain in Map 2 (until Week 3). But in Map 1 the Lost Woods disappear with the Whirlwinds.

I assume this as glitch in Map 1 because the Lost Woods are absolutely useless if they don't remain after the Whirlwinds are gone. Nobody (except some hardcore players) challenge the Whirlwinds without savestates every two steps or getting mad ;)

No. They are both MIA. Hopefully we can get someone else to look into it... eventually.

And Con... couldn't it simply be that they realized that by the time week2 was released and changed it accordingly?

You mean when ~Map2~ was released? Possible... also possible that this data got lost like the d8 middle boss.
Anyway, I think we should handle it as a glitch and write it to the ideas section and hope that it gets fixed one day, because for the player it makes in any case more sense if the Lost Woods are there and the Whirlwinds gone (or why do you get tipps from the old man how to get through the Lost Woods, if there is an almost insurmountable Whirlwind barrier?).

Serkol: Sucks that our coders from Map-1 are MIA... however, I think I've seen that some of our members *cough Euclid, Hotdog, eddzz cough cough* might be able to throw in a few ideas. I think if we had any experienced users of an assembler or debugger we might have a fighting chance.

Con: I just don't want it to sound like my remaking the male mascot savestates would be to show you up, or to knock on yours. If you had the time, you'd have already made all the savestates I did, plus I know you have other things you're working on. :)

As for the possibility that they realized after Map-1 there were "glitches" with certain events (like the whirlwinds and the lost woods) and fixed it in the Map-2 release... that's highly likely. I think if we removed the whirlwinds after Dungeon two is beaten, that would be for the best though. Keep the woods "lost" until Dungeon four though... after that, if you can't figure it out, then yeah... we'll break the spell for ya. :P

Let's keep the hope alive.

Anyway, maybe you can make that an "idea" for your special version Con? (Or is that already included in some form or another?)

No, I'm really very glad that you renew them :) !!!

So you don't think that this is a glitch that should be removed? Anyway...

I'm keeping myself optimistic about the game being fixed... though I am curious if you have any knowledge in assembly and debugging? I figure if you did, you would be working already on fixing Map-2... but maybe you are in secret and we don't know?

Conn, I'm glad you would be wanting me to renew your savestates. I've still got more to do, but I'll get to it some time soon.

One bug I have found yet. The green spot doesn't show the location on the map, but all Dungeons are perfectly accessable as far I've seen

Late as heck, but I'd like to note: The green spot is the player. Dungeons are supposed to be marked by red spots, but only those of previous weeks. This was because players who did not play previous weeks would thus be able to locate those dungeons and catch up more easily (enemies are also fewer in dungeons that were supposed to be completed in previous week to help in this regard).

Anybody noticed that Zelda's speech in the end is no longer aligned right but centered?

Oh and Tre, Con has actually something going on, but I won't be spilling the beans :P
And I do believe you're right about several emulators thinking the game has been beaten for some reason and causing the fanfare and 5rupees/fairies prizes to ocur.

I remember that the red dots are supposed to show the old dungeons from prior weeks being glitched in Map-1... showing only 4 of them before you face Ganon. Have you noticed that in Map-2 it shows ALL eight dungeons?

And I DID notice that Zelda's thank you speech is centered instead of looking goofy on the right. That made me happy. Maybe we could have that in Map-1? :P

Hmmmm.... something secret going on.... involving beans not being spilled. Very interesting. :P And it does make sense that the emulators would not understand the BS-X bios and the games, and would just go with a "This game was beaten!" idea.

Oh, and kudos on fixing the bugs left over in AST's Week 2 and Week 4. Meant to mention it on Monday when I downloaded it, but I tend to forget things easily anymore. :)

Oh, no problem. Those were just minor things. Bet you can't really tell exactly which rooms those were, can you?

Nope! :) Then again, I'm glad you fixed all the bugs (even if no one but you know which ones those were). I think all the work you and Euclid put into AST is awesome. So which rooms were buggy still?
