Yeah, ask for the original files! I wonder whether he recorded the whole play through? Getting a video of it would be critical in order to accurately recreate the whole week. Another idea I had is that Makuchan most likely knowns what this BS The Legend of Zelda Remix is all about, so if you see him online, can you ask it for me?

The video skips around a lot. I think the male voice heard before the actual gameplay begun was not actually heard during the airing but is commenting on the video itself. Possibly also the very first voice we hear, a woman's voice. In other words, I would guess the only actual in-game voices are Zelda's (immediately before the game begins) and the Old Man that gives you your sword (and talks when the sign or a magic spell comes up)
The latter would be wonderful since they very likely lost lots of quaility when they were converted in YouTube's flv format. And let's not forget about the unpatched rom ![]() As for the converter, is it guaranteed to cause no quality loss? (Sometimes they do tell if there is any) |

Why is it that everytime I go away for a couple of days, some new cool thing is discovered around this place? I've got some catching up to do, but this is looking very interesting

You, how do you do? I am makuchan. (Japanese) Since he is poor at English, it is writing in using translation software. When you were talking together by the forum here, it heard from Mr. Yuna. He was able to understand your conversation, although it could not translate completely. On BS ZELDA which I dumped, and the movie uploaded to YouTube the other day, I did not think rising like this. Please have a look, if interested, since the continuation is added. BS The Legend of ZELDA 1 (2/2) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJLA4R_4Lsw Those days, the video by which I recorded the play is captured. Since YouTube has the time restrictions for 10 minutes, it is carrying out cut edit of many events. It is my mistake although YouTube indicated broadcast on August 7. It is 18:00 broadcast on August 6, 1995 correctly. This is the first broadcasting hours. |

Hello and welcome to the forum  That's very nice and a great honor for us to talk with you. You helped us out with incredible things. Not only we got Map 2 from you, you also uploaded this video, with which we are now able to see how BS Zelda was played originally. Many thanks in the name of all players! You are kind of a hero for us ![]() Could you help us to translate the video? Your english is pretty good, and with the help of a translation we may get some clues of what the story was like. Also I'd like to know what happened at the end of Map 2. We found these strange graphics in the Map 2 rom which are not part of Map 1 and don't know what they could belong to. Was there maybe a fireworks or something like this? Strange tiles ![]() Oh and do you know something about a Bs-Zelda remix? I read something about that it was broadcasted after Map 1 and Map 2. Was it Map 1 broadcasted a second time or maybe something like a 3rd map? |

I agree, you are really fantastic Makuchan! Thank you so much for all you've done! ![]() We have been commenting on that video you uploaded (both parts of it). As you can see, we were wondering why the game we got has SNES quality music when this video now reveals the game was broadcasted with remixed high quality music. Was the SNES music heard in the game we have got ever used in the later broadcasts? We have a few more questions too: Do you remember if the Blue Manhandla ( ) was in Map1 or only Map2?Because in Map1 dungeon8 we got an Acquamentus ( ) that looks like a messed Ghoma ( ).![]() The other BS Zelda game Kodai (Inishie?) no Sekiban, or Ancient Stone Tablets, http://www.bszelda.zeldalegends.net/sekibanpics/znv01.jpg did that too have the same introduction seen in this video? With the fortune teller sending you into the large skull? http://sjl-static11.sjl.youtube.com/vi/QwpAXFDWKbs/2.jpg Do you remember if in Ancient Stone Tablets Ganon's return was explained through a voice acted sequence? At the end of week 3 maybe? Or in the introduction of week 4? (I assume each Week had an introduction since the first did http://www.bszelda.zeldalegends.net/sekibanpics/znv03.jpg) Thanks again!! |

Oooh, I can answer this. Every cutscene in AST was acted out, as well as hearing Sahasrahla give his tips throughout the game. Furthermore, I also read that non-mandatory sidequests were also acted. Is this true makuchan?Yesterday I tried to post about a foot long thing on this board, and it wouldn't let me, so I lost all I was going to say. I'll try again now, but in the form of asking questions. xD I read that AST was remixed. If you played it, what was different about it? It is known that in AST you could receive free gifts for receiving a high score. However, was this the case in BS Zelda? Also, there is some illusion that BS Zelda was in fact a third quest of the original Zelda. What are your thoughts on this? And, for everyone else, here's a link to Zelda No Video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=486443303468370916 Skip to 22.50. Or to 25.00 if you want to hear Zelda screaming. xD |

Yeah, we knew of that from watching Zelda no Video (the AST portion is available for download on the BS Zelda HP). What I'd like to know is if one of these sequences gives more information about Ganon's return (since he's never mentioned in the text until week 4 and by then his presence is already considered obvious). Must have been funny hearing Zelda's screams all the way into dungeon two under the waterfall... |

Con
Since I do not remember the thing of MAP2, I look at video and need to be checked. However, since the videotape of MAP2 is not found, a check is now impossible. I think that my anticipation is the magic used for an event. "Bs-Zelda remix" the version which I uploaded to YouTube? It is a formal title name? I heard it for the first time.
What was distributed is only voice linkage. Duke Serkol
It does not remember. sorry. :(
"BS Zelda no Densetsu -Inishie no Sekiban-" Since I of those days was doing the same contents and same misapprehension as "TryForce gods", I did not play this game.

Con was asking because of a list of broadcasts he found http://bszelda.zeldalegends.net/info.shtml ![]() However, on other lists like the one at the Nintendo Database http://nindb.classicgaming.gamespy.com/sns/sns_jp.shtml#bsx there is no "BS Zelda no Densetsu Remix", so it may be a mistake of the geocities site. We kept it just to be safe and not miss anything.
Ah, so in all broadcasts the game always had the same high quality music as in your video, right? I see. That really makes me wonder why they coded in remixed music using the Super Famicom hardware (the one we could get to play on emulators). Maybe they did before knowing for sure that it was possible to have high quality music.
That's okay, you have helped us a lot already ![]()
Ah, it's good to finally know the correct name without doubt! Thanks ![]() Anyway, you said the video had to be cut because it was too long for You Tube. We may be able to host the video in it's original quality and format. Could you give it to us? I also wanted to ask, where is this video from? I understand the old man's voice was heard while playing (when he cast magic or gave hints), but it seems to me the voices heardbefore Princess Zelda's (while the game was loading) may be a comment added to the video. Is that so? |

Many thanks for your answers Would you have an original dump of the rom without the patch to prevent the 7 minutes waiting time? We may have an easier time applying our patches to it.
Euclid and Duke managed to fix the rom not too long ago and it is now perfectly playable (except for music and of course voice acting). If you are interested we will gladly give you a not-translated version of it. |
