Who's your favorite possum?
|
Do you prefer the traditional BS Zelda timer, or innovation? ![]() Am I the only one who thinks the timer's innovative? Okay it's not much of a discussion, but I have to ask who posted the poll. And why it's urgent! |

Heh... I think that the timer was innovative... for it's time. (Ooooh a pun!) But seriously, removing the timer seems to be an innovative spin on the game... since 100% of the game WAS the timer. ![]() Plus getting rid of the timer makes it a traditional Legend of Zelda. I know that a LOT of the later games had timers in one way or another... but the first batch didn't. And these two quests are supposed to be in the same vein. Which I liked quite a bit. Though... I kind of wish Con and I could have figured out a way to do "universal sequence breaking" for the game... but he told me "No"... said it wouldn't be "BS" Zelda at all then.

Where'd that Princess go?

I was wondering the same things actually... and I guess that answers your other question

Now I had problems to find the correct words... Anyway, innovative refers (like Tre explains it right) to "BS Zelda" as we know it, so it is an innovation for this game to get rid of the timer, and make it thus more like a classic zelda game. If you have a better word/explanation, your suggestions are welcome

Oh, it's fine. I just totally thought it was funny. Anyhow, excellent translation for the beginning of BS LOZ 1. Too bad it's only the first chapter, but I'm loving it. Ah... good year for BS Zelda. |

I happen to agree with that! It HAS to be good, if it got you to return to the forums Possum! ![]() Oh, and what player would work for .mov files to run? I've already seen the videos on YouTube, but having my own copies running would make it worth downloading them

Quicktime, I believe, coined the .mov format. It'll run 'em for sure. Just download a free version of the quicktime player. |

Ah. Good Ol' "Quicktime". My nemesis. Grrr... I'll have to figure another solution, because I don't want that on my computer again.

Try QuickTime Alternative. It's a stripped-down codec set that runs everything fine, at least for me. |

That sounds like it could work. I take it you know why I don't like QT then. Since I'm on a limited high-speed, would it be possible to PM me the homepage for it? Thanks

I prefer the traditional/classic style, but with the ability to chose whatever mascot/Link. |

That's a good thing then, because there is the option to apply all the "classic edition" patches, without having to be Zelda or Link. |
