Begin of TRE:
Oh my! It looks like they have recovered their power. Soon, you'll get to see their mysterious forms, but those Bubbles are no good! Of all the things to fight, there's nothing more annoying. Not long from now, (not sure about this part).

End of Tre:
Red Bubbles have returned to normal. Be careful. If a Red Bubble touches you, you will be permanently unable to use your sword until you touch a Blue Bubble.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Seems to be an TRE to avoid letting the Bubbles be red and annoying! I'll check this. Many thanks to DarthNemesisX (he'll receive a place in the Hall of Fame for this ;) )

Holy cows! That's a VERY useful TRE! I did notice that Dungeons 7 and 8 were "lacking" Red Bubbles! If this pans out, do let us know! DNX is awesome for this find! ^_^

He is indeed! I wonder how he could translate the japanese word for "bubble" O_o

Anyway, I could confirm it! There are no red bubbles in week 4 between minute 15-30. Before and after this time some screens contain red bubbles (which are indeed annoying (not possible to strike your sword until the touch of a blue bubble/medicine/fairy soring).
All red bubbles are turned into harmless blue ones (tested by time cheating).

So yeah! *dances*!

Awesome! This means that ALL TRE are documented and in fully working order. There is nothing left in the TRE table to discover! Yay!

So... stupid question... are you ever going to restore the "Wait signs" in the game with the translations, or is that going to get me beaten in the head with a replica of the Master Sword? :D

Duke and I were dreaming a bit making a text box instead of the wait signs, telling what is happening... but I'll for sure never dive so deep into patching business ;)

I'd like to have a "Event text" occur... that way n00bs to the BS Zelda game will be told what's up in the game. Sounds cool

would it even be possible to do that? i know that there isn't a lot of space kicking around in the ROM itself, and wouldn't those text boxes take up lots of space in there? i also wonder what type of font and stuff would be appropriate or along the same wavelength as the japanese "wait" screens that occurred while there was voice acting going on. hmmmm very interesting.

place isn't the problem, you actually can enlarge the rom to 8 MB.
Letting the text boxes appear at a spec time isn't a problem neither.
problematic (for me) would be only to let the correct text box appear at a spec. time through DMA pointers, either this is possible if you make transparent tiles and just let them appear (similar to the beginning screens), or you set in the specific font letter tiles for each screen (like the old mens' texts).

Maybe a qualified hacker is going for this one time ;)

Or people could just read that walkthru you did... :D

I did a walkthough? O_o

Anyway, DMA transfer is quite complicated. I did it 2 times until now (one to let the correct character appear in the restoration after week over, one to fix the sword bug in the restoration and one to let the infinity symbol appear for the magical key in TQ/FQ).

I do not really understand the mechanism. In any case not enough to let the correct text appear in those boxes. To make it work I guess the wait signs must be switched on again and the japanese letters disabled and week/time dependend redirected (pointed) to another place where the sentences are built up with those letter tiles.

Shouldn't be a problem for a professional.

Yes... you did a general walkthru for Map-1/2 before. I remember proof reading the darned thing and making a lot of changes... only for you to be unable to use it, since it was in the wrong format for you. :P

And I'm not worried about text boxes in the game... this is Zelda, not friggen "Final Fantasy Hyrule Adventure!" or something like that. Leave the text to the RPGs. :D

Technically speaking, and aside from translation slip ups, this is a remake of The Legend of Zelda Hyrule Fantasy.

*Snickers* I was trying to say: "This isn't the Final Fantasy version of Legend of Zelda"... but I digress. It is a bit more like a really good remake of LoZ:HF after all. :D

Hyrule Fantasy is the proper name (or rather subtitle) of the first Zelda game. The Legend of Zelda is, after all, the name of the series, not of any single game in the franchise.
