I was just browsing Youtube completely out of boreness and found this quite interesting video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DS1uG0u1R4o Seems like it was somekind of longer ad for the system or something? It does show a lot of clips from BS Zelda as well. |

You know, it's a good thing I don't really care for Dragon Quest, otherwise I'd be wanting videos of that one too (and seeing how hard it was to get those for Zelda... speaking of which, BeeRad where are you? Or should I say, when??) ...but what this video really makes me wanna ask is: wouldn't have been better to make a BS Zelda 2 than a fishing game?? |

I'm still here. If your waiting for the rest of the videos I will get them to you soon. I've got finals until Monday of next week, but I have a huge gap in between Wednesday and Monday so I can send you some then. |

I would have killed for "BS Zelda 2 - The further Adventure of Link" or something. I'd have killed MANY people for that. |

Hero of light is nice enough... but I still find AoL to be my favorite. |

No prob, lol. I like how the game after Zelda looks. The graphics are amazing. I say videos of it at Nico when I was ripping the zelda videos, but i didn't look into it much. I guess its the one with the fishing game, lol. According to Wikipedia, they were going to make a Zelda 2 remake, but I'm not sure why they didn't. I think they decided to make AST instead. I also really like that Asian chick.

There existed a demo of 16 bit AoL shown around at expos when the SNES was first intruduced to the industry. Too bad no one smuggled that out like they did with StarFox2. |

Moreover, its a shame they won't re release it in anything other than 8 bit. |

a BS Zelda 2 game would have been awesome. i love AOL and, yes it is a shame they never released it in more than 8 bit. the only thing i remember seeing that kind of reminded me of that was an Ocarina of Time demo, which remade the first level in LOZ over in 3D. everything looked like a 3D version of Zelda 2, which would have kicked major behind. i can't remember what website i found that one, but it was awesome. |

I'm furious we never got a revamped AoL. I mean yes... LoZ and ALttP ARE the "breakthrough games of their generation" and all of that. And AoL wasn't "popular" to many "Zelda fans"... but it was, and IS my favorite in the series. It was also my first taste of the Zelda series... so I feel personally slighted not to have a revamped 16-bit version. |

BS Zelda 2 - Adventure of... Mascot?![]() In my search for BS-X music I found most of the stuff seemed to be made around the 88-94 era. I don't think remixing Zelda 2 was even remotely popular until Smash Bros. made it so. I wonder if Nintendo decided what games to program based on what music was already out. Then again, there's few Doki Doki Panic remixes, and when they did BS Mario USA, they just used... Mario 1 remixes. Which I thought was mildly jarring.

I'm from the "Ancient School" of gamers, so titles like AoL, Final Fantasy 1, Dragon Warrior, and games along that vein are my cup of tea. I cut my teeth (it's an English expression) on NES RPGs, and still play my favorite titles when I get the urge. Speaking of... Maybe I should reconnect my NES and play through some of my games. |
