Here's the first half of the Week 4 (there is a sentence missing in the messages n°2 & 3, I need to ask a friend to be sure so I'll post those sentences later) : Week 4 - 3'10 : --------------- 地上を元に戻すのは、これが精一杯だ。 後は商人の心を旨く操れると良いだが。。。 - I did my best to reconstitute the earth. (probably better to use "the world" instead of "earth", and by "reconstitute", I think it's implying the fact the sunset dissapeared? Or maybe he removed some ennemis? Less litteraly, "reconstitute" could be understand as "bring the world back when it was before") - (And) now, I'll control the mind of the shopkeeper, but... - It's look like (you) somehow recovered your strength. (the "you" isn't precised, but I can only think he's talking of the player, because who else could he talk about?) - ?? ?? ?? ?? (I'm not sure of the first part of this one so I'll ask a friend later) - For people who are challenging battles, there isn't more annoying guys than them. <= (probably need to switch "guys" with "monsters", it's "yatsu" so it could be both) - From now, and for a little amount of time/for a while, I'll seal their powers/strengths. - The Evil King is aiming at the red ring and the magical sword. - ?? ?? ?? ?? (I also need to check a word for this sentence, and I don't want to say something for it if I'm not sure of the word so I'll also ask a friend for this one) - Those two (things) shouldn't be added to the Evil King (powers). <= (I added the "powers" because, without it, it's not really a understable sentence. It's implying "powers" or "weapons", but "powers" is probably better than "weapons", but not sure so you'll need to choose, or find a better thing). - If those things would fall in the Evil King hands, some terrible things would happen. |

I did a translation of the messages of the weeks 1 & 2, if you are interested to do a french version of it like I talked about in one of my previous message, it would be great!
The only problem is that french use some accents (common ones are : à, â, ç, é, è, ê, ô, ù). If I remember right, the old french translation patch (done on Roto's hack) contains the accents so they can maybe be copy-pasted from it? By the way, I tested this morning your week 1 & 2 patch and amazing work! I did the whole first week and it worked like a charm. I found one bug but I'm not sure if it's related to the rom, but I don't think because the week 2 messages are working fine by using a method, but not by using another one, I used this rom found on the website : I'm not sure if it's an already known bug too, so don't mind my explanation if you already know it. So, the bug is that if you play the whole week and then choose save on the ending screen, when you resume the save to start the week 2, the messages are glitched, like this one : ![]() But, if you choose "continue" instead of "save" on the end screen of the first week, the messages works fine, like this one : ![]() So it's not a big problem because the player just have to save with savestates (and not use the original save function of the game) and it's okay, but just want to point it if you don't know it yet and if it can interest you. |

Damned, what a terrible glitch! Thank you for finding it (I only used continue while playtested...) I will try to detect the cause before the final release ![]() And the second sign of week 4, I think one word must be "red bubbles" which are annoying monsters. They are turned into harmless blue ones. |

One word is "Bubble" (without a precision of color) but then he says that he sealed their power (implying transform them in blue), but this is some words before that I'm not sure, I'll ask a friend soon. |

I asked at rmhacking once and Darthnemesis translated it: Begin of TRE (Waitsign): Oh my! It looks like they have recovered their power. Soon, you'll get to see their mysterious forms, but those Bubbles are no good! Of all the things to fight, there's nothing more annoying. Not long from now, (not sure about this part). End of Tre (somewhere later): Red Bubbles have returned to normal. Be careful. If a Red Bubble touches you, you will be permanently unable to use your sword until you touch a Blue Bubble. |

I've read through the latest translations... not bad. Just make sure not to mixup "Strength" as "Strentgh".

| I'm officially retired from beta testing, and resign my duties to those who have the time to do it. | |

Hello Hiei- aeroforce325 found something quite interesting, a "chamura ramen" version of LoZ http://z9.invisionfree.com/bszelda/index.p...=864&st=0&#last Nobody knows what it is, could you maybe take a short look at the cover if you maybe find something? Original Loz http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image:Fa..._Zelda_Disk.png Charuma ramen version attached: |

It's probably just the same version, I remember I read in a book a while ago that they were some "special front-cover" games which have been made for some lotteries, but the actual game are the same. I'll try to find the book back and scan it if I manage to find it back. |

Ok, so this is solved (more or less) ![]() How is the translation going on? Here's my take on what we've got WS1: I did my best to restore Hyrule. Now, I'll control the mind of the shopkeeper, but... (short sentence... he really restores the world after it was dark) WS2: Oh my! It looks like the Red Bubbles somehow recovered their strength. Soon, you'll see their mysterious forms, but those Bubbles are not good! Of all the things to fight, there are no more annoying guys than them. From now, and for a small amount of time, I'll seal their power. WS3: Hero. The Evil King is aiming at the Red Ring and the Magical Sword! - ?? ?? ?? ??. Those two treasures shouldn't be added to Ganon's might. If those items fall in the hand of evil, terrible things would happen... (free translated, because 3 times Evil King) 3 more WS and one "?" left, then we are finished

I want to ask a friend to have a few confirmations about the ones I was missing a few words but I didn't saw it yet (but I will probably see him soon). By the way, here's a test of modification in french of the textboxs : ![]() I expanded the text by adding new lines with the same model of the original ones and moved the
under, on some blanks spaces. I'm not sure if it could create some bugs, but as far as I tested, it seems to always work fine even after this modification. I now need to try to add three line jump to make three paragraphs which will make the text looks better and I think it would be ok. Accents are missing but it's not a big deal, and they can always be added at the end. Edit : Here's the final one (with paragraphs) :

I can add letters with accents with no problems to the final patch version. Just tell me which extra letters you need. and best how they shall look like tile-pixeled Or you can try out yourself (beginn at C7/0000 (as far I remember)). The pictures are not displayed... did you manage to adjust the code with the notes I included to the patch and are you thus able to help yourself typing the translation? Also with textbox enlarge/shorten (if needed). Much luck with the est parts of the translation

Weird, the pictures are displayed here, probably the web browser which can't handle png? Here's the http link of thoses: http://www.hiei-tf.fr/BS-Zelda_FR.png http://www.hiei-tf.fr/BS-Zelda_FR2.png For the modifications, I did some romhack a few years ago so it wasn't that hard. I first look with an hexadecimal editor to see how the rom looked like, and to try to localise the texts because a relative search didn't give the results I was excepting. I, then, found the good part. Notice that the characters seems to be coded on 2 bytes (XX20), then I modified one hexa value and looked at the result, and I finally created the .tbl file this way. Then, looked the model of the line jump, and finally realized that some codes are the borders of the window, and so that they need to be aligned, and that expanding the texts by moving the datas was working fine. But everything is due to your patch because I wouldn't have been able to find how to reinsert the texts on the original rom. I'll try to see for the accents (at the end) and if I don't manage to do it, I'll ask you. And I'll show you the final patch/readme when it'll be ready before releasing it (once your final version will be out). For the translation, it should be done in a few days, once I'll get in touch with my friend. If I don't manage to see him, I'll ask another one. I have a few friends living in Japan and who are japanese speaking fluently

I attached an image how to insert letters. Program: snesedit Address: $C7/0000 (UNHEADERED!) 00=blank 01=corner textbox 40=A 4f=P 90=w letters for the textboxes are highlighted with yellow in this palette. It's just counting... 9b-9f e.g. is unused kanji where we can add letters with accent (example edit board). we can also use the whole d0-df row if you need more letters. Just tell me which letters you need; I'll include them in the final version ![]() (never learned french )Oh and your pics still don't work for me
