Excluding Nintendo-proprietary content (original ROMs and soundtracks), I noticed that most of the contents on this website has no copyright of any kind.

Thus this question.

I say yes, without any hesitating.
Just because I am fascinated by Zelda and opened this Homepage to disseminate these rare and unique BSZelda games.

No files on the pages, which I have done myself (patches, maps, etc.) are in any case copyright protected and any other page/Nintendo can use whatever they like. Just for the sake of politness a reference to our site would be appreciated if any such will ever happen :)
Files, created by other authors (patches, soundtracks, etc.) should be protected by the author himselves as he wishes.

Con pretty much said it as it is, but the fundamental point is, the games are property of Nintendo. It's kind enough of them to not stop us from doing what we do with them (and most likely due to the fact that we are not trying to make a profit out of it), you can't possibly think of getting paid for any of that.
So yeah, public domain both by principle (we want to let people experience the lost games) and by necessity.

...and I'm not sure why you made this a poll. The site's policy is up to just Con and I ;)

I mostly wanted the opinions of OTHERS. :P

Glad you stated the website's current policy though, that's what I assumed but it wasn't explicit. :)

I have to agree with Serkol and Conn... we aren't doing this for profit... or we'd be charging users to access the files here on the site (like SOME emulator authors have done). If Nintendo found these roms, and decided to craft them into an official release, that'd be just dandy. Though, honestly, I'd really like to see them do a professional version...

...mostly because I'm curious to see what NoJ and NoA would do in terms of translations of all the signs and voice acting and such.
I'm officially retired from beta testing, and resign my duties to those who have the time to do it.

Too bad that they're not bothering with it... but then again, if they did... well we'd be out of a "job" here.

I do wonder though... just what would they put into an official BS Zelda release, if they used the files and work done on this site? I mean... would they just go for Map 1 and Map 2 (as well as AST) without all the extras that are in "Third Quest" and "Fourth Quest"... or would they take that idea as well? I mean I can't see them doing so, since they rarely (if ever) take a fan game and turn it into a real Nintendo release...

...though it would be neat.

It seems no-one voted for any of the other choices, INCLUDING ME!!

I totally agree with Tre, Duke, and Con: that WOULD BE AWESOME!! ;)

My Viewpoints

"Nothing you can say will ever convince me that the Zelda, Link & Impa of OOTURA, ALTTPGBA, SC2, BSLOZ, & OOX are different characters, or that Link isn't part Kokiri, FOR SOME Zelda Universes and that the mangas aren't canon FOR SOME alternate realities."

If Nintendo ever re-released a BS Zelda, they'd probably do something weird that we didn't quite expect. Perhaps on the lines of Third Quest/Fourth Quest, but not quite either.
