Why does the time begin at 3:07 instead of 18:07? In the origianl broadcast week 4 begins at 18:07 instead of 3:07, shouldn't we want it to be as faithful to the original as possible? |

Since hour digits aren't important to gameplay, it has been hacked to display the current week instead. |

Every of the 4 weeks began at 18:07 (original broadcast time). For the emulated version we need a time to differ the weeks, and it is (even if we wanted to) not without a great effort possible to change this. Also, I guess players do want to see in which week they currently are. |

Just out of curiousity, Con, I'd like to try making ROM patches where the week change is hard-coded in. (This is for the sake of a "restored" BS Zelda in a more proper sense, meaning they'd resemble what the original ROM dumps may have looked like.) I've been trying to dig into our data, but a lot of our documentations are seemingly based more on Roto's hack than the original ROMs, and that bugs me. Any advice for this?

The begin code should be c5/bc9a a9 00 (begin at week 1), not headered and original rom. This might differ in Roto's work. a9 01 is week 2 and so forth. In our week 3 original dump of map 1 the value is a9 02. |

Thanks for that info. Now I'll just need to figure out why the World Map and "this Week's Objective" screens aren't modified with that hex value (Worse case scenario, I can force them, yes...?) Then The Map 1 Week 3 can just have the bosses/ending fix, I'd say. hmm. |

The objective screen is for each week at the same place, and week specific. DN's patch made a copy of all objective screens and made a choice "week 1 - branch to this screen", similar as I did with the wait signs. Yes, week 4 is except this thingies completed in the rom's data. |
