No, the thing is that I made a cool effect. You receive the always shooting sword after the last triforce piece, with this occurs a lightning which kills all monsters on the screen. When you save in Ganon's cave, restart the game, this effect will be repeated. Means you walk into the cave automatically, get the sword, the lightning occurs and the screen turns to white for this. But it won't fade back to normal black again. I dunno why. After D8 (when you normally receive the sword, it works as it should. |

Main problem with the suggestion that the speech would be different is that there's no evidence (In fact, signs suggest the contrary) that the games had a "dynamic" audio stream. Theoretically what you said could've been done with in-game code by just muting the stream and playing the in-game sound over it, but recall that by that time we've actually left the game's ROM code... |

Yeah, in fact I'd say everything hints for it being the contrary, so odds are there simply would have been silance or at most audio generated by the game. I take it it's not possbible for you to keep the power ups but get rid of the lightning isn't it Con? Personally, I'd drop the power ups too... it's something more BS Zelda-ish, and those versions are meant to be non-BS, right? But if you are fine with whiteness, then ok. |

This glitch only occurs if you safe ~after~ defeating Ganon... otherwise you just be able to leave the cave to make things normal. Well, I maybe fix this bug in 10 years or so... ![]()

Sorry to double post, but I found a possibility to disable the fade to white background. So yeah, now you easily can save after Ganon, and no glitch will appear in TQ/FQ. For anybody who is interested not having this small (though nasty glitch) please download the roms again, they fixed versions are already up on the hp

One of these days, when I feel like even downloading a Zelda game, let alone playing them... I'm going to have to ask you for a master list of the versions so I know what the heck I'd be downloading.

| I'm officially retired from beta testing, and resign my duties to those who have the time to do it. | |
