The King being in red really doesn't seem like it would be much of a problem. |

Not too hard to accomplish. I did it with changing Aginah's robe. You'll have to look which palette is loaded for one sprite and simply trace it. It's one byte change to give him another palette. (or two when he uses 2 tiles for movement). Harder is when the new palette won't match his tiles completely (e.g. face turns blue). In this case you'd have to give him other pixel colors by editing him. However, since AST and ALTTP tiles are compressed this is hard to do (MadHatter currently has some problems with this kind of sh..). |

For some weird reason, no. After checking the ending today, the King's robe is still green. Maybe his ending palette is stored in different place? His intro palette (shared with Agahnim, I think nobody else uses it) is stored is section Palettes - Enemies 1 - pal 14). But Link's clothes during the ending (Palettes - Clothes - pal 0/pal 1/pal 2) are affected. Like his tunic (pal 2 with all upgrades) his hat is now red, not purple. UPDATE: I found the King (Palettes - Other sprites - pal 14), but his patette is shared by Green Maiden (2nd from the right). The same maiden was sent to the Dark World by Agahnim during the intro and her color palette is also altered there. I could change the order of the maidens during the ending, but this requires further palette editing. UPDATE 2: Oh dear. It looks like editing palette 14 is a wrong way. Multiple characters shares it, like the boy with Ocarina of the Lumberjacks. |

IMO Link should look like the attached mockup. In the original LTTP sprite, there is orange on the rim of his hat. If you look at the original LTTP concept art, the rim of his hat is bright yellow, not orange. So if you basically change the orange rim of his hat to the bright yellow from his tunic, and then change his hair to the orange color that was on his hat, you wind up closer to the original art. Also, if you take the turquoise colors from his hat, and replace them with the greens in his hat, you wind up more accurate to the art. |

So I don't know if it'd be possible to do this, but basically IMHO the ideal BS zelda sprite would be this: |
