@Zeth: How soon do you think the 3DS will become hackable?! If it can't be done soon, then maybe I'll just have to get a 64Drive... ![]() Can't wait to play this game...

Ok, ontopic post! I've been forcing the OOT 1.0 rom to "think" there is a 64DD with the Zelda URA Expansion plugged in. Upon forcing it, I found something quite interesting. An unused enemy function that only activates when the 64DD flag is enabled. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLPkqu8un00 |

Invisible redeads? I'm glad they didn't put those in the game! Nice finding by the way! |

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been around too much, had my GPU and Hard drive kick over which set me back on working on anything. Here is a couple new sneak peek screenshots of the new market. C:![]() ![]() Right now over at the GCN, we are taking a poll for direction of the project on which is a better way to go about it. Option 1 -We keep the OOT dungeons we've all gone through since the N64, GC, and now 3DS and just remix it for a 3rd/4th? time + add a few new dungeons. Option 2 - We scrap the OOT dungeons and make entirely new ones kind of like what Nintendo did with AST. C: If you are a member of the GCN, please vote as the poll will only be up til sunday and we are trying to gather as much input from the community as we can. Thanks! http://core.the-gcn.com/index.php?/topic/9...direction-poll/ |

Mh, guess I'll have to register... Personally, I would make the poll: Option 1 -We keep the OOT story and the dungeons we've all gone through and just remix it for a 3rd time + add a few new dungeons. Option 2 - We scrap the OOT story and dungeons and make entirely new ones (kind of like what Nintendo did with AST) If those were the options, I'd probably pick 1. But if it's no option that the story will be different (Hero of Light etc.) then I'd go with 2. By the way, Hyrule Castle Market's looking good... thought it seems more like TP's Castle Town remade in OoT graphics than the town from the beta screenshots (you know, large wide roads, free camera...) |

Personally, I see no point in playing a hack if the level design is too similar to the original. |

Well honestly the story isn't going to be the same OOT one either way. Also the design of the castle town is more like a mix of TP's and OOT's, plus you got free camera movements. I personally didn't like the beta castle town, everything was just way too big and didn't really fit correctly with how Link's size is. Buildings were the size of castles for just mostly one room houses. @Smash - Yeah I really feel the same way. As a developer I feel I enjoy it more making full new dungeons then just moving around actors/puzzles in existing dungeons maps. |

In order to distinguish Ura Restoration Project's save file from normal OoT save file. Origially, the "Disk" tag was supposed to be used for original Ura Zelda (64DD) save file, but this idea was ultimately scrapped. Instead we got Master Quest, which is modified OoT, with normal save files. Overall, nice work, Zeth! But I have a question. Is it possible to hack OoT in order to merge original Ocarina and Master Quest into one ROM and use "Disk" tag for MQ save files? |

No I meant... what does it distinguish in Zeth's game. Or is it always there just for show? |
