Mh... I like their individual patches approach 8it's something I actually suggested to Zeth) and I'm honestly glad they are sticking to realistically feasible goals... but I am disappoint that the dungeons are not accessible through the main game. Especially the Temple of Light which should be an easy fit.

Well, although I'm extremely disappointed that Zeth's hack got cancelled, I'd definitely still like to create a Zelda Ura manga, after I am actually able to play this version, & who knows, maybe I could find a way to bring in more elements from Zeth's attempted Zelda Ura Restoration Project, such as Heroes of Light, most/many of the planned additional dungeons, timed weather events, extra items, extra sages, Dark World, & possibly many other things!!

As well as @least some of my own idea(s), some of which would line-up rather nicely with Ura/Beta Ocarina of Time!! :link:

It's too bad they don't have any e-mail addresses on the site. I would have liked to send them one, suggesting that the Temple of Light should have at least a balcony showing the Sacred Realm/Golden Land.

Sure hope someone from the team is reading this!! ;)

Maybe eventually they'll have contact information?!

I sure hope they wouldn't mind me writing a Zelda Ura manga, which draws heavily both on Zeth's attempted restoration project, their hacking efforts, & my own ideas!!

Plus which, maybe I'd try to include any leftover URA/BETA content that might have been overlooked by either Zeth's cancelled project, &/or this project!!

After all:

@Tuf Pic - As for the gamecube, even if I did get it to work and run on an ISO, how would you get to run on your gamecube?
Also about the manga feel free to man.

So yeah, he gave me permission!! :D

*Returns from the dead* Long time no see everyone. Sorry to do grave digging in this place but felt needed to address anything said. Anything said on Zelda informer about the project's cancellation or about me is probably the furthest from the truth and more exaggerations from disgruntled immature ex members of the team. But I'd rather not go into details about something 2 years ago lol. Anyways, Ura itself is dead, though I've begun work on a new project that is arising from its ashes as its spiritual successor. More info to come later and it will be less...complicated then Ura was becoming.

Hey there!

So, are you working together with the people on this other website? Or is this project completely separated from yours?

Hi Zeth: ;)

Would it still be alright if I eventually wrote a Zelda Ura Manga, which incorporates the following ideas from your hack, as well as maybe some from Project Beta Triforce?!

Sure hope this is acceptable!! ;)

Hey there!

So, are you working together with the people on this other website? Or is this project completely separated from yours?

My project is completely separated from theirs. I am working with a new team and a couple returning members that weren't jerks. I'll give you guys more of an update asap but its not Ura anymore but rather using the Ura resources we had.

@Tuf - I've seen the magazine before, I have several Nintendo powers as well as articles on different information regarding OOT's beta and missing content. As for the Ura Zelda manga you mention, sure have fun! :3

Interesting, so it looks like there's going to be two very different takes on this... cool :)

I'll be happily waiting for that update whenever you're ready to tell us more.

Thought I would give everyone a progress update to let you know its not dead.

Things are going well, though RL stuff has gotten in the way a few times but it hasn't hindered me from actually working on the project. While I'm not ready to announce exactly what the project is I can tell you that it is already leagues better then the Ura project ever was. I have a better understanding of structuring things for the project, solidifying ideas while using new 3D modeling techniques I didn't know before when I was working on Ura. We have taken a lot of thought into what caused Ura's failure, what worked and what didn't work and applied and refined a lot of the structures and techniques to this project and it has already made a huge difference in the quality of the work. One thing that is on the slow end part of the project is that my team and I are realizing a lot of documentation by the Zelda 64 hacking community is actually incorrect. So we are dedicating our time to correcting this misinformation through our own work of understanding the game's code while incorporating documentation from the N64 SDK. We also have a programmer on board who has a great understanding of the N64 ASM already and has been working on writing tools to suit the needs of the project. The programmer and I have already reviewed a lot of the current tools used by the N64 hacking community and we've come to the conclusion that most of the tools are either broken or don't translate things properly for the game engine to use. Most of these tools are no longer being worked on by their creators to fix these errors, thus the reason we are creating our own. It also lacks a lot of features that are native to the game engine such as animated textures, vertex painting, etc. While it does mean the project will take a bit longer in the long run however on the wider aspect of things it also means that the game will have hardware compatibility. I do look forward to eventually announcing what the project is in the later future.

@Tuf - I never saw that news clipping before but I knew of the N64 modem, its basically in cartridge form and plugs into the top of the N64 game slot.

*NECRO-BUMP!!* :stalfos:

I had wanted to let you guys know:

I *FINALLY* managed to download/play (most of) the various versions of BS Zelda & all of the weeks of AST onto my relatively new Samsung Galaxy Tablet A!! :link:

The only 1 that seems to be giving me problems is the Triforce Tiles Patch, but thankfully I've downloaded/been able to play the 4th Quest, which I'm pretty sure includes the Triforce Tiles Patch!!

SIDE-NOTE: ...I've also got the OOT Master Quest Debug Rom, however, I'm having quite a bit of trouble navigating through the Debug Menu, to get to the Special/Beta Rooms/Levels...

...Might need some help with that... :head explodes:

Although I'm definitely grateful I was able to download everything mentioned above, & I'm also super-excited for Pokémon Go!!

Well, it was about time to be sure

INDEED!!

...Also, I forgot to mention that I AM actually having trouble with the Saria/Pikachu/Goriya patch, …quite unfortunately, (that was 1 of the 1's I was most looking forward to playing)…

Also need to figure out how to download the SC2 GameCube Rom, & navigate to the URA/BETA areas of the OOT Debug Rom, as I have run into some trouble with the controls on my device as to actually GET TO THEM!!

ALSO:

Tuf Pic

I'm not expecting a reply, but I got Pokémon Go a few days ago, when I 1'st saw that it was available over here!!

...(Although, I haven't gotten past level 1 as of yet, & I only have my starter, (Bulbasaur), so either I'll have to find a way to go more places with the device-in-question, &/or I might just have to wait for the Pokémon Go Plus to come within my grasp, as it will be released the 2'nd week of next month, & I'll most likely get it for the Holidays, or my Birthday!!)...

Small update(s), from the time I posted this, I managed to get to most of the levels of the OOTMQ Debug Rom, (minus 2 of the beta levels: 1 of the Stalfos Dungeon Rooms, (the 1 with windows & Shadow Temple Music in the background), & the Beta Castle Courtyard, which my Android Tablet, &/or both of the emulators I've used to play the game(s), don't seem to like, rather unfortunately, although every other room seems to function), & ever since I downloaded the ClassicBoy Emulator, I gained the ability to use CHEAT CODES!! B) :D

Also, I am currently @level 4 in Pokemon Go!!

Also downloaded the FR/LG, as well as the ALTTPGBA roms!!

Although I STILL haven't been able to get the Soul Calibur 2 GameCube Version's Rom to run on the Dolphin Emulator!!

EDIT: I am also going to get Pokemon Sun/Moon, a day after they come out, (they come out on the 18th of this month, so I'll get them the 19th of this month), & I recently purchased TPHD for the Wii U, with the Wolf Link Amiibo!!

DOUBLE-EDIT: Not to be a pain, but I figured I'd repost this:

(originally posted on another Zelda Forum)
Found a page with a little more detailed synopsis of the same story, including a translation from the original Japanese version:

Japanese (Top Row), ....&... English, (Bottom Row):

The “Guardian Spirit Bequeathal” is a type of ceremony marking the day when youths of the Kokiri tribe receive, from the Fairy Tree, a fairy that will act as their companion, and gain the ability to wander the forest freely. TThe Fairy Tree, however, had been overtaken by a suspicious influx of demons. Link joined forces with Navi, a fairy he’d rescued enroute, to defeat the monsters, but the Fairy Tree withered away, leaving behind one last request. “Ganondorf must not be allowed to claim the Triforce…”
