Hmmmm... It might look better ~above~ the magic meter and heart display. You've plenty of space in the upper-left. <3

There's actually a very good reason why you shouldn't put anything near the edge of the screen on a console game: almost all TVs crop the edges of the screen and do not display them. And yes, that even includes the most modern HDTVs. I have to set mine to a special undocumented setting to not crop the display of my PC.

Therefore, people playing on real hardware will not be able to see stuff near the edge of the screen. Oops.

@ZethAlkar64: I'm not sure what your job is at Nintendo since you didn't specify it, but if you have access to the Wii Programming Guidelines (it's on the Wario World website for licensees), it contains very good recommendations about this very issue if you want more details on the matter.

Its that same issue that I'm quite aware of which is why I'm thinking about underneath the magic meter and having a symbol for day and night instead of actual words, so the day indicator can be right next to the time display. I think putting it there will help balance out the hud. As for my job, I work in the beta testing department, anything further then that I'm not allowed to discuss.

Ah, good thing you changed it from Zelda Time to Hyrule Time or I'd be always thinking "When's the next timed event?"

Anyway, persoanlly I'd move the time to the opposite corner of the rupees (i.e. bottom right).
Nothing is there, so it seems fitting.
And yes, definitely have a sun and moon instead of day/night.

How about putting it bottom-middle like Majora's Mask's clock? No need to put that whole "HYRULE TIME" string by the way if you use "AM" and "PM".

Got a hold of an old logo of OOT before it became the final one used ingame. It honestly reminds me of Kamigami no Triforce's logo.

At the start of the Japanese subtitle. I figure it could be a Japanese character that they shaped to resemble an hourglass.
I'm probably just seeing things.

Now that you pointed it out, it really does look like it. I can't seem to download the attachment though.

It is the Kanji for time though, "時", "toki".

You can't uh? Me neither and I'm the one that uploaded it. I thought it was because I switched to FireFox, but maybe the board is acting up.

These forums just hate PNGs.

And I'm surprised you still don't know that considering it must be like the 5th time that I point it out.

I'll bet it was the logo for the storyline version that was based off of ALTTP...

Pretty neat!!

@Serkol: It DOES look like an hourglass... ;)

Odd... @_@ O_o
My Viewpoints

"Nothing you can say will ever convince me that the Zelda, Link & Impa of OOTURA, ALTTPGBA, SC2, BSLOZ, & OOX are different characters, or that Link isn't part Kokiri, FOR SOME Zelda Universes and that the mangas aren't canon FOR SOME alternate realities."

Sorry the lack of updates guys, we had been going through a few troubles, we lost our composer and one of our hackers, not to mention our 3D software was on teh fritz. But we just recently got a new composer who is almost in the same league as Koji Kondo himself and we got a new hacker, plus the issue with our 3D software fixed. So we are back on track! ;D
