*The Thread Necromancer*!!!! :stalfos:

I don't recall seeing a thread on Zelda Graphic Novels, so I decided to start 1: While most, or at least many Zelda fans are familiar with the Zelda-inspired mangas by "Akira Himekawa," they are not the only Zelda Comic-Book creators... For example, there's Cagiva Ataru, who did the LA manga, & another ALTTP manga, Shotaro Onendera/Ishinomori, who did an ALTTP Comic book for NOA, & another 1 whose name I have trouble spelling who did the LOZ/AOL mangas, plus a few Koma mangas, & then there's my least favorite, the VALIANT COMIC BOOKS... ![]() Anyways, what's your favorite(s), &/or least-favorite(s) among the above, &/or any others you can name?! My favorite Zelda Graphic Novels are Shotaro Ishinomori's comic book, & Cagiva Ataru's mangas... http://www.zeldadungeon.net/Manga.php Discuss away!! |

I remember reading an official comic, which has been published in a Nintendo magazine as a prequel to Ocarina of Time: Link's father was soldier and his mom gave Link to the Deku Tree to let him raise apart from war. (But I do not revive the half korikiri, half tree theory of you again with this post) |

The one by S. Nagano & A. Honda, who go by their composite pen-name: "Akira Himekawa", obviously...
Fair enough: I'll try to steer clear of that topic as well, if only because this isn't the threaf for it... to everyone in general...Of course, that's no guarantee that it won't occasionally pop up, & yes, I still believe in it!! ![]() (Again, those similies are being used generically)... |

As for why my favorites are those, well... In chapter#9 of the ALTTP Comic Book, Spoiler: click to toggle Of course, there WERE parts of that comic-book I WASN'T SO CRAZY ABOUT AS WELL, such as the artwork... Cagiva's artwork on the other hand is simply MARVELOUS, & the storyline sounds awesome too... |

There is however guarantee that I will smite anybody who does (which means you, obviously :P)
Ok, no. Just no. You are not getting around the three smilies limit by double posting Tuf. Especially since double posting in and of itself is not at all appreciated. To placate Tre I'm going to delete three of those smilies at random. You don't get off this easy if you pull this stunt again...
I just wish he hadn't introduced a martial artist sidekick with Street Fighter-like moves. |

I'm going to have to check this ALttP comic out I think - strangely enough, I never have gotten around to it... |

1) Then I'll just smite you back... ![]() 2) Actually, I didn't double-post because I wanted to sidestep the "3-similies-per-post" rule... As crazy as it sounds, I just like to keep my posts even-numbered as often as possible, so yeah... We all have personality quirks, & that's 1 of mine... Hope you understand... I wasn't even thinking of disobeying that rule when I did that... ![]() 3) I'll have to read into find out my own opinion... |

And maybe if you had admin powers those wouldn't be just empty words *lol*
OCD? I see... I can sympathize with quirk but it annoys everyone when people double post without having anything to say that they can't simply add to the previous post (via editing). So I'm sorry but I'll have to ask you to not do that. |

And whose fault is that? ![]() Well anyway, it may not have been clear from my previous post, but I do consider Cagiva's the best rendition of ALttP in manga form. That's why I said I -just- wish that dragon ball-ish characters wasn't there. |

@Serkol: I think I'd have to agree that Cagiva's manga is awesome, & I think I especially like the Link's Awakening manga...

Say, have you seen through the entire ALttP manga? Because Zelda Legends only has up the pages that were translated and Melora's site went down taking the original Japanese scans with it. Had I known this would happen, I would have saved the Japanese scans, but I thought they'd finish what they started. |

Unfortunately, I'm not a very good downloader, as you may recall from discussing the BS Zelda Map 1-2 patches, & my difficulties downloading them, but I'll try to get around to it sometime in the future... ![]() I *DO* own the first 2 volumes of the Four Swords Adventures manga, however!!
