I mirrored it up on YouTube, but be sure to grab the original NicoNicoDouga video as well.

This rip still has a framerate that looks below par, but the picture is a good bit clearer. The anime sequences are pretty nice viewing, and the shots of the prototype FDS Zelda are about as clear as a VHS promo are going to be.

Apologies it took so long.

HOLY ---- THAT WAS AWESOME!!!

I wonder if the original music played over the animated Zelda "cutscenes" was composed for this commercial or taken from somewhere else.
Either way, I wish we could have it without someone speaking over it (but that's othing new, uh?)

...AH! This reminds me I forgot about updating the site with the links to those flacs. I'll see if I can take care of that tomorrow.

The music sounds very much like your typical 80's synth, so it's hard to say whether it's original or not. The frustrating thing is that music like that, which was so commonly heard on TV in the 80's, is RARE AS HECK now.

My Viewpoints

"Nothing you can say will ever convince me that the Zelda, Link & Impa of OOTURA, ALTTPGBA, SC2, BSLOZ, & OOX are different characters, or that Link isn't part Kokiri, FOR SOME Zelda Universes and that the mangas aren't canon FOR SOME alternate realities."

I just realized, in ancient Japan (1986) level 8 is level 4.

But seriously, that reading of LoZ's backstory with sequential art would have been a much better introduction to BS Zelda than someone reading the manual of a different Zelda game...

Say Kiddo... do you know if they made a similar video (with someone reading the manual's story accompanied by animated pictures) for AoL as well? (Probably not since AoL's story is kinda long. But maybe the scrolling text from the game's intro)

I'll be on the lookout, but it seems LttP marketing will always be remembered for "Deruderu Zelda no Densetsu" rapping. :P
