*The Thread Necromancer*!!!! :stalfos:
;) :)
My Viewpoints

"Nothing you can say will ever convince me that the Zelda, Link & Impa of OOTURA, ALTTPGBA, SC2, BSLOZ, & OOX are different characters, or that Link isn't part Kokiri, FOR SOME Zelda Universes and that the mangas aren't canon FOR SOME alternate realities."

The overly enthused BS-X nerd.
Man, I'm gone for a while and all the good shit happens.

Give me a minute to catch up. XD;

EDIT: Haha, I patched this together with my BS-X character edit sprite. :3

So here's a promotion video of my all-in template.

It's a patch to apply on US ALTTP to extend it with several new abilities... you of course cannot play it but can build your Zelda Adventure (similar to Parallel Worlds) upon it with Hyrule Magic

Not sure what you mean by "you of course cannot play it"... why not?

Also I'm curious, can you explain this bunny hood-moon pearl thing?

Anyway, seeing all the modifications in one video was awe inspiring :)

Thanks ^_^
My speech "you cannot play it" was articulated unhappily (I reworded the text). Of course you can cheat for all the new items and thus play it. But I hardly altered the original game, so you won't find any new items in a chest until you set them with Hyrule Magic.

As for the bunny hood it isn't that special:
http://www.zeldix.net/t862-adjust-speed-in...of-an-item#9887

Your speed value (pixels per frame) is set in the native rom (of course!). So I just hooked the code, check whether you have a specific item (e.g., moonpearl), and if yes, you will move faster (more pixels each frame).

Mh, so if I understand this correctly, you basically made it possible for an item of our choosing to also have the effect of the Bunny Hood (in addition to what they normally do).

That would probably work best if you could turn it on and off... unfortunately the only items that come to mind which can be "equipped" are the Magic Cape and Cane of Byrna both of which already have their own uses and consume magic.

Maybe you could recycle some code from the Super Bomb and have it activated and deactivated with a shoulder button?

Yes I could do that, there's a ram address to check whether an item is equipped. E.g., you map it on the cape, so you simply check whether this item is equipped or not (in the y-box not in use). This should do the trick... of course I also could map it with a button press (L or whatever).

However, I'd code such things only on request. So if anybody develops a zelda hack and likes to add that feature I'll surely code this.

Cool!

And yeah, the shoulder button is definitely preferable, so it could be used while having any other item at the ready.

I just coded 3 asm:s
http://www.zeldix.net/t862-adjust-speed-in...ence-of-an-item

Now you can choose between:
- moonpearl.asm: speed is accelerated as soon you have the moonpearl in your inventory
- moonpearl_Rbuttonpressed.asm: accelerated speed if you have the moonpearl in your inventory AND hold the R-Button pressed!
- book_mudora_equipped.asm: accelerated speed if you have the book mudora in Y-box equipped

Note: you need to set the speed values yourself, by adjusting the db table at the end of the asm, e.g.: db $18 -> $30 for fast horizontal and vertical walking.

I think the second is what you requested.

Ah, I was only suggesting it as a possible improvement, not really requesting... but really cool that you actually came up with several possible options!

You never cease to amaze! :D
