It sounds like he tried renaming the smc file. It's the srm you should rename. And make sure the emulator hasn't already made one for week 2 (if it has, delete it).

The music is not working correctly right now, and besides AST doesn't use the same music as ALTTP uses. To get those strange bugs that you mentioned, you'll need to find a cave which you can enter from a different place than where the real exit lies, and then exit it from the real exit.

Yeah I know the music is different. I just thought the only music left in the game from alttp was the overworld music.

I also managed to get the dark world music which plays when you turn into a bunny for the first time in ALTTP (not the normal overworld theme), to play when messing around with the Action Replay code that turned you into a bunny.

Oh, I've thought of something else: the walls are hollow. I meant to mention this with week 1.

If you go through a long doorway and press up or down you'll end up inside the wall. Isn't there some way to block them off?

Long doorways eh? Let me guess, does this happen only when you are at the bottom of a room with two levels?

If that's right, then I believe I understand the problem and I think it will be very easy to fix.

You need to have accessed it in week 1, then if you carry on your progress to week 2 by renaming the srm it will still be open.

It seems to work anywhere where the doorways aren't right up against each other.

Give me an example that is not "downstairs", so I can look into it and try to understand this problem better.

Downstairs? You mean one that's on 1F?

Well in dungeon 2 the doorway to the right of the Big Chest does this. Simply walk through while holding up or down, and you should end up inside the wall.

EDIT: dungeon 2 in week 1, not week 1 in general. -_-

Strange as this may be, it doesn't happen to me. It does if I hold left or right while moving between the rooms to the right of the big chest (because I'm on bg2, or downstairs if you will) but not as I leave or enter the big chest room.

Can you make a vid or something?
