Sort of the sound and picture of little sparks or static electricity. The Pika is pronounced completely differently (Pie - kah) and is in fact just coincidentally named as such. It has no relation to Pikachu in any way. "Chu" is the japanese word for squeak. Ever seen the movie Spirited Away? The mouse says "chu" instead of "squeak." Point made. Pikachu = Glittersqueak.
