What are the big differences between these two systems? Do I need to get a DS Lite, or is my regular DS good enough? I know about the light levels and everything. . .but is there anything that I'm too stupid to know?

There are a lot of differences between the two DS's. To start off, the DS Lite is smaller than the DS Phat, and the stylis holder-thing is on the side on the DS lite, instead of the top. And DS lite screens are brighter than DS Phats'. With the DS Lite, there are four levels of brightness you can adjust the screen to, compared to the DS Phat with only two. But with the DS Lite, GBA games stick out a bit in the slots, but it comes with a filler cartridge inside the GBA slot, which you can keep in there if you don't have any GBA games to hold, and so you don't get dirt and other junk inside it. Also, the power button is now on the side and not dangerously close to the arrow pad. It also has a larger stylus, which makes it easier to hold. There are more differences than this, but this post is getting a bit long

aw man I'm so horrible at explaining things xD sorry if you have trouble understanding something.

but anyways, I recomend getting a DS Lite. It can be a bit expensive, but it's worth it ;D

I already have a regular DS, and I knew all of the differences you said, and my brother has a DS Lite, but I was just wondering if there were any BIG differences, like Wi-fi stuff or something. . .

Gamewise, no. The DS lite is simply an upgraded DS, much like the Gameboy Advance SP was just an upgraded GBA. All games and connectivity applications work for both systems. I believe the only game that doesn't work on both is Opera Browser, but that's just involving the hardware. And there are editions of the game for both consoes, so it doesn't matter.

If you have a DS, I wouldn't reccommend getting a DS lite unless your system breaks. It's a little spiffier, sure, but not so incredible that you should get it instead.

DS phat--BWHAHAHA! Man that's gold. I'm cracking up!
,
Zephyr's right, the DS lite's awsome but not awsome enough to spend 130$, if you already have a DS phat! XD

The old DS is terribly heavy, and the screen is kind of blurry and dark compared to the Lite. |D
