I personally consider it a serious take on the whole magical girl genre...it should be available pretty much everywhere, but I personally watch it on Crunchyroll. There're three seasons, the first which is untitled, the second is A's (which is oriented towards everyone, like Pokemon, moreso than the first season) and the one that's currently in progress is StrikerS. All three are cool - you should watch them whenever you get the chance. =P
