over obsessed LoZ addict Posts: 261 Group: Member Member #5 Joined: August 23, 2006	Probably one of the most underrated Nintendo games and the one Nintendo abuses the most. The only one of the three games that was released in the U.S was EarthBound for the SNES (which seems to have no plans of being released for the Wii's Virtual Console). Anyway, this thread is really for those have played any of the games, or are one of the ones who want Nintendo to release the rest of them in the US.

Give Kuea food >/ Posts: 162 Group: Member Member #688 Joined: August 11, 2007	Mmm... I don't really know if they abuse it anymore than they do Custom Robo... But I love Mother. Everyone wants Mother 3 in America though. We can at least hope for a Mother game on the DS or Wii though.

XD To be honest, though, the only one I've played is Mother 2 (Earthbound), and I'm not very far in that one.. ^^' But from what I've seen of it and heard about it, it's very good. Now I'm playing it obsessively and it's imprinted on my life (expect my old, worn-out Chatot avatar to turn into something Mother-related soon). They're not kidding; it really is an amazing game. For those without parental controls or moral issues with playing ROMs, I strongly suggest, nay, urge you to play this game. It really is a masterpiece.

Mother 1 was for the NES, I think, and Earthbound/Mother 2 for the SNES. Mother 3 is for the GBA. I was actually playing Brawl obsessively today and maining as Lucas. xD ...Unfortunately, through some odd!frustrating computer mishap, my save file on Mother 3... well, it wasn't erased thank god, but I'm at least 3 hours back from where I once was. Great. << Oh well, I'll probably get something I missed before the second time around. Edited by Zephyr, Oct 25 2008, 09:00 PM.

over obsessed LoZ addict Posts: 261 Group: Member Member #5 Joined: August 23, 2006	I played the original untranslated version of Mother 3 a few months ago, but only got to chapter 5 before my computer froze, and since there's some crazy bug that doesn't let Mac users save, I had to give up. It was the same case with the original Mother. The english translation of Mother 3 wasn't much of a difference in that way, but who cares. I also have the ROM for Earthbound on my laptop and was playing it during my band trip to Chicago. They are all such amazing games and Itoi was genius to create them.
