Anyone here ever played or heard of Voyage? It's a PC game which takes place in a time before anyone had been on the moon before. When you start the game, you wake up in a space capsule and have no memory of what happened. Before you land on the moon, you explore the capsule and find clues to figure out what you're doing. Then when you land on the moon, you find an ancient civilization with weird plants and clues of an intelligent race, which may or may not still be there... Voyage is full of puzzles and mysteries, and if solving puzzles is your thing, I'd recommend you look for this game. I found it at Half Price Books for only 5 dollars. ^^ It's challenging at times, but I still love it. |

Cool! Someone else here goes to Half Price Books! I don't think I've heard of it, but from the way you describe it, it kinda sounds like Zork Nemesis, and Zork Grand Inquisitor (Those're the only Zork games I've played...) and Riven. I happen to like those kinds of puzzle/adventure games, mostly due to their ingenious puzzles and clever clues. I'll have to look for it eventually. It works on XP right? I'm assuming it does because I nabbed Unreal, and it's Return to Na Pali expansion, and Roller Coaster Tycoon Gold Ticket Edition for $5 each and they work just fine on XP. |

I've briefly played Myst and Exile (Riven didn't work on my friend's computer), and from what I've seen I think I'd like that series, too. Yup, my computer's XP. The side of the box says "98/ME/2000/XP", so yeah... |

Half Price Books? I want some books... at half price. Never heard of that place though... Anyways, from the way you describe it, it sounds like one H. G. Wells book where some guys build a machine, go to the moon, and find all this weird stuff there. What book was it again? ... Oh yeah, The First Men in the Moon. Weird book, but read it if you get the chance. That was slightly off topic... so. About the game. If you like puzzle-solving games, you might like Golden Sun, for the GBA. It has such a great plot that you feel like you're reading a book when you play it. I was, well, hooked. It's pretty much my favorite RPG for the GBA of all time (and that includes Pokemon, sorry. :P) |

Ohh, Half Price Books is awesome. ^^ I need to go more often. They're all (I think) books that people come in and sell, and all the paperbacks are half-off what the price on the back says. Some of them are really beat-up, but you can find ones that are near perfect. <3 Hmm. It says on the box, "Inspired by Jules Verne", who I guess wrote a story that this is based off of...? I don't really know. xD Hmm, Golden Sun... I shall keep my eyes open for it. =) |

Golden Sun is great. Best handheld RPG IMO. Still off topic, but on the topic of puzzle games, you might try Echochrome. You can buy it off PSN or get it for the PSP. It's an interesting puzzle game that revolves around several different laws based on Oscar Reutersvard's impossible constructions concept, which was essentially inspired MC Escher's work. To put it more simply, physics and reality depends on perspective. Like say there's a gap between two platforms. If you rotate the map around so a pillar covers up the gap between the two platforms, that gap no longer exists (Probably the most basic thing you'll have to do in that game...). It's a very difficult, but addicting game, and offers more than 50 different stages for you to try out, as well as the ability to build your own puzzle maps ^^ Ok, cool, XP then. I was worried, cause when I got Roller Coaster Tycoon, it didn't say if it would work on XP, and thankfully it did soo =3 |
