This game is going to sell on nostalgia alone, I swear, but they'd better introduce something new to it because although I'll buy it no matter what, I would much rather play a somewhat new game than just a remake with enough features to justify playing it again. Of course, they do that to their fanbase all the time, what with Platinum. I want a new region after Johto instead of Kanto. And a better plot; GS TR sucked.

Someone on a different forum I go to speculated that your starter might follow you around the entire game. I dearly hope this is not the case. Also, I've said this on the other topic, but I really hope they change Kanto in some way. Maybe not an entirely new region, since I liked seeing how it changed from the original games, but I want to do more than just walk around and get eight more badges. Anyway, I'm getting whatever game my sister doesn't get. I doubt I have to say what my starter will be.

Although now I see that it would be double posting, but whatever. Anyway, I don't see the point of replacing the old female character, but I can deal with it. I am still very curious about what the images showing your starter following you around mean (and the shiny pichu in the lower right corner).

It's in Japanese..." xD It was very disappointing. shot I'm looking forward to these games, as I never actually completed silver since the first Pokemon game I got was Ruby when it had just come out... So it will be hard for me to be disappointed with the Kanto part. =D Though I'd rather have a new region with new Pokemon, I know that won't happen for another year or two so I'll be happy with this now. xD I don't know which starter I'll choose, as all three of the johto starters are my favorite ones, so... Spontaneity ftw! =P

Like Zephyr, I hope they'll do something new in terms of plot/storyline/whatever, but just with the gen 4 improvements alone it's very good. And the female character is adorable. I'm probably going to pick Cyndaquil for my starter XD Typhlosion is awesome.

So it obviously wouldn't happen. (this doesn't count as being off-topic, does it? I mean, I didn't think it's deserving of a topic of its own...)

It is unknown what these tools are (perhaps they mean items?) or how you will be able to catch any wild Pokemon, but anything you gain on the pedometer will wirelessly transfer back to HeartGold and SoulSilver. This may be similar to the Pokemon Pikachu 2 gigapet, where every 20 steps you took converted into one watt which could then be transferred to Gold, Silver, and Crystal and redeemed for special items. The pedometer will also include mini-games, though not much is known about them at this point. The device itself will weight 21 grams at a thickness of 13.9mm and a diameter of 48mm, featuring a key chain hole on the top. Opinions?

I get exited thinking about it! And another great thing, you can get ANY pokemon to follow you, just by putting them at the top of your party. That can be a problem thuogh, imagine if waillord is sent out in the middle of the city...

Starter Posts: 6 Group: Member Member #13,136 Joined: August 18, 2009 Gender Male	SO EXCITE Not as much excite as I was for DPP, buit still its awesome that theyre adding so much new stuff. personally id rather they add all the new stuff in a new gen but if they did that i suppose HGSS wouldnt sell as well. when (and that is when) I get one of the two, if n ot both, it'll be heartgold, mainly because i liked gold better originally and i dont know the difference between the two. My starter will be and always was Typhlosion (Cyndaquil) because hes like my #5 Poke of all time. Once again though i cant help but feel that, since this isnt a new gen, that all of these new "features" arent features but gimmicks, like the sevii islands and the wireless tradeing cartridges from fireredleafgreen. if it were a new gen, they would be features because they include new software as opposed to updated software.
