Current Known Bugs (Updated 03/09/09); Post bugs, errors, & misc oddities here

These are the bugs I have discovered so far. If you download the mod and discover any bugs not listed, feel free to post them here. When reporting a bug, please tell me which version of the mod you are using.

  • Animation of Skeletal Horse's legs is messed up (will look into fixing it sometime later, looks weird but does not affect gameplay)
  • The issue regarding gender and the new races appears to have been fixed. All references to an npc or the player's gender should now correctly read as him/her, Lord/Lady, sir/madame, etc. If you notice any references I may have missed, please let me know.

Or, in game name of item is:
"Dark Elven Lamellar Coat"

Not really sure if this is the right spot to post this information, but it seemed like it to me.

I actually fixed that already, but thanks for reporting it. I just misnamed the mesh for that armor. I'm pretty sure that's the only armor that had the wrong mesh name, but if you encounter any more of those feel free to post them here. I'll upload the fix possibly before I go to bed or sometime tomorrow. I don't work tomorrow, so I'm gonna be able to get some extra work done on the mod. :D

I think it was mentioned somewhere else, but the troops still need renaming.
The Rhodoks, Swadian, Vaegr, Khergit, and Nords still exist. :P
There actually isn't really anything else that I have noticed.

Yeah. I renamed the kingdoms and gave the troops appropriate skins, but haven't done anything else to the native troops yet. I've got most of the troop trees redesigned, but I'm having trouble coming up with good names for some of the higher tier levarian and velorian troops. One thing you might notice in the weapon shop is the Levarian Short Sword and Officer Sword seems to be missing the blade. :blink: I've equipped it, but haven't tried fighting with it yet (I was having too much fun with the Dark Blade which still needs to be tweaked a little...I gave it zero thrust damage and high swing damage but apparently forgot to remove the thrust animation for it, so you can still stick people for like 0-2 points of damage :P ).

First weapon I bought. Besides a Huscarl Shield.

You know, it just maybe me, but I don't have the Levarian Short Sword or Officer Sword in ANY of the Levar marketplaces.
I went around and checked them all out and no sword by that name is in them. Perhaps its me? Or did you include these new swords in the new version?
I have version 1.01.

I don't think it is called the Huscarl shield, but its what it looks like.

I am playing right now, so I will look around different towns to see if I can find it.

I keep running into Sea Raider groups that are just groups of random peasants. I am not sure if this was intentional or not, just thought I would let you know. Pretty sure you have noticed already. :lol:

Yes that was intentional. Those were just peasants I added to test out the new races. In version 1.03, you will see those pesants walking around the villages and towns. I'll eventually get around to restoring the Sea Raiders.

Yes that was intentional. Those were just peasants I added to test out the new races. In version 1.03, you will see those pesants walking around the villages and towns. I'll eventually get around to restoring the Sea Raiders.

I traveled everywhere looking for those swords without luck (even places I am at war with.) Perhaps it is just in the new version.
I noticed that next to Veluca there is a completely unused castle that is just sitting there with no name.
And in alot of the shops there are still Khergit bows, Nomad bows and swords, and Nordic swords available.

Something else I noticed, that if you are a vassal of kingdom of Morte (Or not) the villages that are captured don't convert to be able to recruit Skeleton Fighters.

Haven't posted in awhile, but with your version 1.04, there is a large bug I discovered.
I was allied with the orcs (If this information matters) and I was confronted by a party of elves. Their 56 or so to my 26. In the middle of the battle, after the second wave of them spawned, I got a RGL error, (Can't remember the exact words) and the game crashed. THEN, it deleted my saved character.
A rather serious one I am assuming.
I am going to re-import my character and continue as if it didn't happen, hopefully to never have it happen again. If it occurs again, I will get the exact words.

To who it may concern, you have to make a new character every version.
Best thing I know to do, is sell all of your things in a previous version and export your character. Then, on the new version, create your character and give it the name of the character you exported. When you get in game with your new character, go to the character tab and click statistics and import. It should bring your character from the previous version with your old Stat / Level / and all the gold you had on you at the time. It will not transfer gear! (I believe this is all in the Mount and Blade folder, but I am assuming some people don't read it and perhaps some of you didn't remember or something like that.)

On a previous note, the swords with just handles on the merchants menu ARE just in version 1.02 +

RGL error usually refers to a missing texture, mesh or material. It's possible however, that one of the second wave reinforcement troops does not have an item type it is supposed to have. For example, if it is flagged as guarantee_ranged, but the troop does not have a bow or thrown weapon, it will cause problems. Not sure if that is the cause, but I do believe I modified some of the Elves equipment instead of just renaming the troops like I did with the other kingdoms. I have no idea why your saved game would be deleted though.

As for the Salt Mines, all I did was remove the pf_disabled flag from it. I have not done anything else to it, so I don't know why you can't tab out.

OK well I looked at the two troops designated as the second elven reinforcements, and one of them was guaranteed a helmet but did not have one in it's inventory so that might have been what caused the error. But still let me know what the error message says if you see it again.
