You can also buy them from Faze (he spawns at night somewhere in the Dragon's Death ruins) or find them in a certain chest in the dungeon. But yeah, I may add another way to get them.EDIT: Also, it's a good idea to garrison all of your troops in the salt mine before you go to work if your aim is not money. You just gave me a good idea for that though. I think I'll modify it so that when you choose to work in the mine, you get the choice to: 1) Work alone, 2) work with your troops, 3) work with any prisoners you have "garrisoned" in the mine, or 4) have both your troops and the prisoners work with you. Progress report for today.....I've done a little bit of work on version 2.0 of the mod. Basically I just ported the map and started placing the custom settlements. I've also done some more work on the Magic Academy. Here are some screenshots.... In the first pic, the walled area on the left is the stables and the building on the right is meant to be a guardhouse. And because screenshots with the moon in them are more dramatic, I've included two more night shots...

that academy looks like that anime academy from that anime with the guy who comes into a world, he is then some kinda pet for a girl and a great swordsman am i right? Progress report for today: More work on version 2.0...I have added in all of the resources and textures related to the various races as well as the extra hairstyles. This took longer than intended, because for version 2.0, I am reorganizing the resource files in an effort to eliminate unneeded models and textures. This should help to reduce the size of the mod, and hopefully lower the mod loading time. I also added the race skins, all of the custom sounds (the zombie sounds, the magic-related sounds, and the audio clips for the Galstaff dialogue), and the Orc armors. Additionally, I have done some more minor scene editing on the Magic Academy. Here's a pair of screenshots of the Fire magic training area. I am not done with it yet, but here's what it looks like at the moment:

Don't worry, I've been distracted as well. I know I originally said I would only accept 1 submission from each person, but that was for v1.22 when there was a limited number of npcs I could rename. In version 2.0, there is 112 heros/companions and there will be even more when I start adding in the ones from v1.22. So feel free to submit as many as you want. I probably won't use them all, but if they're really good I'll use them.

Progress report for YESTERDAY, because I forgot to post it here :I added the Blackjack game and the Magic system to v2.0. I also added in the scenes for Dragon's Death, the dungeon (no random encounters yet), and the Magic Academy, though there are still some bugs to be worked out since Custom Settlements uses completely different mission templates for spawning troops in a scene. The magic system seems to be working but since there are no npcs to teach magic yet, I could only test out the Cure spell which you start with if you start as a mage. I also made some minor modifications to the character creation in 2.0 making it so that you start with some basic troops if your leadership is greater than 0 (the number of troops is based on your leadership). And I added in some of the magic-related items such as the focus crystals and wands, as well as the witch hats (or Gandalf hats if you prefer to think of them that way... ). I've added in Galstaff, Picard, and Night Blade, as well as Beergolem and Violet, but haven't gotten any of them to spawn correctly yet. Let's see....what else? Oh and I added in the undead troops to avoid errors with the Summon Undead spell, but I had to temporarily remove all of their equipment since none of the Horde Lands armor (except for the orc armor) has been added yet). Additionally, I added in the scripts to fix the race/gender related dialogue bug, though I haven't yet gone through all of the dialogs to replace the appropriate male/female strings. Well, I think that's about all for today. I didn't get around to working on the Magic Academy scene, but I'm definitely going to do more work on it tomorrow.And now the progress report for TODAY!!! No work done on the Magic Academy today even though I said I was going to. Instead I did something a lot more fun... I began work on a Custom Settlement version of Dragon's Death for v2.0. I have more or less finished the Camp and Village scenes, including all of the spawn points and the AI mesh. Still left to do are the Town, Manor, Castle, Manor/Village, Manor/Town, Castle/Village, and Castle/Town scenes. Here are some screenshots comparing different areas of the ruins in both the Camp and Village scenes. In all of these shots, the first one is the Camp scene, and the second one is the Village scene. Oh...and they're all at night so you can see the torches. First we have the overhead view... ![]() Then to the left as we enter, we see the general merchant building, the water well, and in the background, the windmill/wood collection area... ![]() Then we see a closer view of the water well, which has been repaired in the Village scene... ![]() Then we tour the housing area...note there are no huts in the Camp scene... ![]() And finally...a bonus screenshot from the Village scene of the cooking/eating area. ![]() And yes...those are peasants and guards you see in both scenes. |

I have done some work on the troop trees, making them into a flow chart as I find that easier to read. I also did the pirate/corsair tree. Check it out and see if you like it. |

Nice. Thanks for posting that. OK time for today's progress report. I spent roughly 5 hours working on the Dragon's Death town scene, and I'm still not done with it!! This is definitely the biggest scene out of the 9. So much more detailed than the Village scene which, btw, I did a little more work on as well (mostly just adding some extra huts). Anyway, here are more screenshots for your viewing pleasure (I hope).... First we have two more shots of the Village scene showing the extra huts I added. In the first one, on the left you can see the village elder. ![]() Next, we have two overhead shots of the Town scene from different angles. In the first one, you can see the Tavern near the bottom between the two towers. In both scenes, you can still see a row of huts that I didn't finish replacing. The two small buildings that you see just above the Tavern, will become the weapon and armor shops (the weapon and armor merchants are gained when you upgrade the settlement's Military level...the general merchant, elder, and the tavern are gained when the Economic level of the settlement is upgraded). ![]() Third, we have two shots from down in the streets. In the first shot, you can see the merchant from the Village scene. And in the second one, you see the newly repaired windmill. ![]() And finally, a bonus screenshot I like to call "Fun With Scene Building"..... ![]() That poor bastard got in the way when I was moving a little section of wall, was knocked unconscious, and somehow ended up stuck in mid-air. |

Yeah, I can't wait for it either. Working on it is a different experience than actually playing it.Anyway, here's today's progress report.... More work on the Dragon's Death town scene. That's it. I am more or less finished with it now, though I still have to modify the AI mesh some more so peasants and troops won't go walking into buildings trying to get to their destination. I lost about 30 minutes worth of work on the AI mesh because the game decided to crash. Tomorrow I will move on to the Manor and possibly Castle scenes.
