Gerhart, regarding the young knight, I'm guessing you had some cross talk between scripts, dialogues and menus. After looking through the code that's all I can guess, and the odds of getting the same error would be slim. If we get this again, I'll dig a bit deeper, as it sounds annoying.

The BRF materials do in fact, show some items to be black if your looking at materials. If you have the time, could you run through a couple of the BRF mesh files (actually look at the item, not the materials, if that makes sense). If they show up fine in BRF then we may have to find the buggers in game, which would be awful. Sorry bout that bug.

Ok I went through all the meshes I could find and the only ones that I seem to have some sort of problem with is the "Fresco" ones in the Art.brf. They all look rather dark.

Do you need a screen shot or is this normal?

EDIT: Added screen shot

I noticed that they are double sided with a larger picture forming on the back side, interesting.

Thanks for doing that Gerhart, but that means our problem is somewhere in game. The darkness on the fresco's shouldn't be an issue. If you could make a note of where you see it, I'll 'try' to fix it. I have to kind of guess what the problem is, as my computer doesn't show the error.
Gerhart, if your up for some testing, check your inbox on this forum.

Also, If anyone is having the same graphic errors in the mule quest, please PM me or post here. I thought I had that fixed, but now I'm not sure.

No problem at all, really. I appreciate you making this mod. Sure I'm up for some testing but there is nothing in my inbox.

So you would like the locations of any issues I can find not showing up, in game? Would you like screen shots or just a general description?

The only thing I notice on the mule quest is the odd looking rear of the mule. You have to be at some distance, up close everything is fine. I can also slightly see something just above the mule which I imagine is used to "hook" the package to them. I'll try to get a screen shot if you like and when I come across that quest again.

Since the mule quest was mentioned I might as well ask. I take it having more than one mule in your inventory won't up your bonus by 2 then. I already had one mule in and after getting another, my inventory did not increase. So no stacking of mules to get an extra inventory bonus?

This only happened once but I'll post it. I entered the Imperial Castle one time and ended up dressed like this.

Could you please explain what this screen means and why am I giving them money?

Sorry for the double post but I didn't want that last one to be so huge.

I turned on DX7 and everything, so far, has to deal with the "Fresco" as I can then see what I'm missing. Going in the brf to look at them I tried to find the differences between "Fresco" (that I can't see) and "Art" (that is seen). One thing is the "Fresco" is basically a plane with a double sided texture whereas "Art" is 3 dimensional. Even though both, in mat, have a dark and light side, is it possible that the "Fresco" is showing the wrong (dark) side?

If I could find the "Fresco_relief_one and two" it would give me an idea if I'm on the right track. Where would I find those? (I'll keep looking)

The curtain_red and white is also a double sided texture plane and another problem like fresco.... seems to be a pattern here. Is it possible that because they are double sided planes, this could be the issue?

EDIT: Thought I was getting close to the problem until I went into Cyme.... g_wall is not showing up either along with curtain_white_long.

When I send the scouts out and they join me in a battle, they keep all of the prisoners and rescued prisoners, if I don't take them. If they have too many rescued prisoners, that are now part of their group, and I don't have room for them, I can't call them back to rejoin my party. It's ok for the captured prisoners as it will automatically drop what I can't hold. In order to have them rejoin my party. I need to garrison enough troops in my party to equal the amount they have in theirs. Then they can rejoin my party once again.

Here is a shot of that small object above the mule in the mule quest.

That would be the where the artifact is originating from that someone mentioned earlier, I don't have that problem on my end I only have this.

The strange rear that I spoke of earlier is the lod for the mule. The front will look normal but just after the furs it seems to be using one of the lods for the mule. At a shorter distance than normal it looks exaggerated but not a problem unless you would use it on the battlefield... but I don't think that will happen :D

I can't tell if the problem is coming from the mules or the 'baggage' on top of them. If someone who is having this problem and also knows brfedit can delete the mule lod files and run the quest again to check and see if the graphics are still screwy, please let me know.

The small dot is supposed to be there, it's an attempt to correct the graphic problems with this quest.

Question : Are we not suppose to make Sir John or Fawzia, Knights?

The reason I ask this is after I made Sir John a Knight, gave him a castle, I can't give him any orders. All I get is a dialogue giving me an option to have him rejoin me or not.

After making Fawzia a Knight I changed my mind, since I got the same dialogue as Sir John, and asked her to rejoin my group. She rejoined alright but she is also still on the world map with her own army. She doesn't move so I'm waiting to see if she attacks anything. So I now have two Fawzia, one in my group and one on the world map

Another strange incident happened. I had Sir Aulus in my party and decided to make him a Knight. A few days passed as I was looking for a castle to conquer for him, he was not with me. I decided on Shefford Castle and took it by extreme force, hehe. After the battle, I stayed in the castle waiting until Steise decided to speak to me about who should take over Shefford Castle but this never came. Instead, Sir Aulus' banner suddenly appeared over the castle and he now owns it. I was never questioned by Steise so I never had the chance to offer it to him, it was automatically given to him.

I've just finished the mod (need sleep now, heh ), and I had this happen only twice, I think it's a peculiarity of the game, maybe not the mod. I rather enjoy parceling out the fiefs, my aim is to have no complaints, or at most -3 negative from any of my vassals. What the code does when distributing fiefs without player input is, with exceptions for the big cities, is award them strictly according to number of holdings first (a castle and a village are treated as nearly equal in value), and then in order of the vassals' renown. So, if you had already given all of your vassals holdings and they were equal, Sir Aulus, your new vassal with no holdings would get the next open slot without any complaints from anyone. I conquered a city with 2 villages and I had 3 vassals picked out by number of holdings and in order of their renown, and the game did the same without any input from me, I reloaded a couple of times to award them myself without the game doing it and the results were identical without any negative relations from any of my other vassals. Cities are treated a bit differently . I had made a list of all my vassals, number and type of holdings, in order of their renown. Lot of work, but it's a nice accomplishment to finish the game with all your vassals loving you to death because they believe you're fair, brave and honest. I saved Millard until the very last, it had 5 villages. I then made Alianor a Lady and gave her the fat city, and then the 5 villages, in order, to the rest of my companions as I made them new nobles. No complaints. I had made Sir Aulus , Rogan, and Fawzia nobles early in the game when I was first conquering, they got nice plum holdings, large armies, and they had few rivals for the fiefs so nobody whined. I may make a new post in a couple days in more detail on this to help other players, I see it's a source of wonder, even in other mods. I laughed when I read a thread about another mod. The player was a rebel, he got a noble with a big city to join him and then immediately took the city away from him for himself. The player was perplexed, he couldn't figure out why it resulted in -50 point disposition hits from all his vassals, and then not getting others to join him. It's a wonder to me they didn't all rebel because he was a greedy dishonest scum. If he wanted that city that bad he should have took it. Very funny in a way.

As far as other bugs, very pleasantly surprised for a beta. Only irritating bug was the armies sometimes getting stuck bear the bridge at the lake outlet, sometimes quite a stack of them. I used Thorgrims's map editor and smoothed the shore there, and switched around the maps.text file, edited this way and an unedited, original maps.text when the armies got stuck. Sometimes it took me a couple tries but I eventually would get the armies on the move again.

Thanks Rosha and all on this mod, it's one of the most fun ones I've ever played and some of the ideas are just brilliant . I loved the medals of honor, I've asked for something like this in other mods. They should be, as they are now, very, very hard to get. As you play you seem to notice the same names jumping in every fight, the same ones running away or sitting in their castles. I gave the first one mid-game to a noble I only had +10 relation with. He took on an 800 army by me , with his 100 men. I was right by my 100 fighting 400. I'd have got wiped out for sure if he hadn't have done this, everyone else was running away. Together we barely beat both armies. Very epic, and his disposition jumped way up when I gave him that medal with the beautiful armor. Afterwards that guy fought like Leonidas whenever enemies were around. The second medal I gave to a lady that did the same with her 30 man army that did the same to help another noble. She then , with only 3 men left and badly wounded, jumped in to help me tight nearby. Very epic and fun. I noticed this gal would cross half the map to fight, and would jump right on those Inquisitor armies after she saw me fighting them.

Music +10, quests +10, new ideas +20, cool armor +10 , fun +unlimited. Thanks.

The lady disappearing if you put her in a castle is a bug. You won't get her back unfortunately. This will hopefully and most likely be fixed in the future versions.

And having you-know-what with your wife is not yet implemented, so you can't do that. Just camp for some time and imagine your having you you-know-what. ;)

I'm not sure if these bugs have been pointed out before but I've come across two or three so far, when I camp I sometimes get script errors, the black cathedrals and dungeons are sunk into the ground when I find them and some textures are different to others for example one side of a coloum in the cathedreeal wasn't in focus and was all blurred out were as the others were top notch and looked good and another bug/error (I'm not sure which this is) I can only command a party of 70 when I have a limit of 81, can anybody help and I'm sorry if i dint reply back straight away being a student these days is a bitch.

First of all, fantastic mod. Great job.

I've notice that some npc armies tend to get stuck around rivers at times. I've only noticed it a couple of times and I've not paid attention to where it occurs. Will note it next time I play.

Again, great mod. My favorite thus far.

Okay I found a weird bug with the Medals of Honors. If you give one to a vassal, it doesn't disappear from your inventory and if you try to give that same Medal to different vassal the game gets stuck on your character saying "The Empire of Calradia would like to present you with a blah blah blah". I was not able to continue and had to forcefully exit the game with ctrl + alt + del.

It's not too much of a problem, it's just weird.
