We have a Starbase Zeta? I've never seen it in any of what DeScott showed me. I'll look it up when I can.

Thank you admiral. Much appreciated.

Yeah vice admiral, we have a starbase zeta from Zulufleet.

In midst of changes though.

Check it out: http://www.starbasezeta.junofleet.com/index.php/main/index

We discussing changing to a ground base and orbital repair station for the wars the federation is at. We also going to have a gateway of some kind as our main story arc.

Very cool, if you PM me some of the vitals for the base I'll add it to my recruitment forum posts. If I don't know we have it, I can't recruit for it now can I?

The thing is nothing is set in stone yet. It is all still in development stage.

I'd use an Iconian gateway, since they're already established in the Trek universe. We did have another long-distance teleportation system in Juno Fleet canon but it's a bit difficult to explain (it's of El-Aurian origin, DeScott would be the one to ask).

Yeah if DeScott would you know write things down in a wiki page or something so we can all see what Junofleet is all about.

Perhaps update the IFS?

Anyway. You're welcome to register on Zeta and help us with our brainstorming. Maybe even have a character there later?

That is if the others get the emails I've sent out via the nova site.

IFS is simply broken from transferring hosts. We do have a Wikia site but it hasn't really been worked on much (roughly 50 pages).

If you have an idea for a piece of technology, Alex is definitely the best person to ask in order to create specs. Prior to him taking over from me as CinC he was responsible for R&D.

I'm fairly good at creating histories for things if needed but I think it'd be better for you to try and create such details yourselves and then let us double-check for inconsistencies afterwards.

MODERATOR NOTE: Moving this to Zeta discussion page

Well it's really the fleet history and current standing I need information on. So if you could do a write-up on that that would be Awesome.

Hopefully this'll help a bit:

Juno Fleet was created back in the year 2182 to help protect the newly-founded Federation and was based at the intersection of the Romulan Neutral Zone and the future Klingon Neutral Zone. However, in 2302 it was shut down because it was no longer needed, due to the toning down of hostilities with the Klingons due to the Khitomer Accords of 2293.

The Fleet was reactivated in 2409 due to the renewed Borg threat and the resumption of hostilities with the Klingons and placed temporarily under the command of Fleet Admiral Robert Cornwall. At this time, construction began on three starbases for the fleet simultaneously: Anchorage Complex, located on the far side of Klingon space, serving as the main R&D facility and stronghold; Starbase Zeta; and an additional base located in the Toron system near Cardassian space serving as a medical base. Then-Rear Admiral Smith jumped forward in time straight into the hostilities and joined Juno Fleet as its Academy Commandant and being promoted to Admiral to take over command of the fleet for the duration of the Borg war. Shortly after an ancient El-Aurian power source was acquired for the fleet as per DeScott's request a fourth station known as Deep Space 76 began construction. This particular station was located in the Gamma Quadrant, located in the small area between Dominion and Borg space known as the Kailean Republic. DeScott accidently created a stable wormhole to this area (specifically, the Kailean system, the centre of the entire Republic) through weapons experiments. The majority of the fleet was moved to this new base of operations in order to combat both the Borg and Dominion threats. DeScott maintained his personal stronghold at Anchorage but frequently traveled back and forth through the wormhole. Smith relinquished command back to Fleet Admiral Cornwall and voluntarily demoted himself back to Rear Admiral to return to teaching at the academy.

Construction of Anchorage and DS76 did not complete until 2421 due to the complexities of the new stations (Anchorage's sheer size and DS76's technological capacity).

Most Juno Fleet ships are equipped with either a Quantum Slipstream Drive or a Transwarp Drive (depending on the configuration). A transwarp gate network exists for those vessels that do not have the internal drives and connects the major fleet and Federation hubs together.

In 2420, Vice Admiral Smith took command of USS DeWolf, the biggest starship the Federation had ever constructed at that point, and ordered the USS Magma to join it in a mission to Borg space. They successfully destroyed the rebuilt Unimatrix 001 in the process. Smith subsequently took command of DS76 and completed its construction. Shortly afterwards the conflict with the Dominion began and Smith retook the reins of the fleet from Cornwall.

In 2421, the City of Agartha was discovered by a team of DS76 officers while searching for a means to combat a new line of Dominion warships. Agartha was found to be El-Aurian in origin and many many thousands of years old; apparently DeScott even spent some time there when he was younger while it was still in its glory days. The humans on the team noted that its descriptions seemed to match that of the old Atlantis stories back on Earth. The city itself was an enormous starship, the scale of which had never been seen before. It crash-landed on the planet it was found a few millenia before its discovery. Notably, it had the means of nearly instantaneous travel to any point in the universe (at an extreme fuel cost), but was capable of transporting beings and supplies via a similar method using no more power than a typical Federation transporter to other similar transporter pads located throughout the universe. A team was sent to explore the other side but has yet to return after two years.

Meanwhile, the war with the Dominion escalated to a full-out assault on the station resulting in the capture of Admiral Smith and pushing Starfleet out of the Gamma Quadrant altogether. Dominion forces quickly attacked the systems in the vicinity of the Alpha Quadrant side of the wormhole but were pushed out by the sheer number of Federation ships available. Juno Fleet discovered that the far end of the wormhole had been mined and so a small task force with high slipstream capability was sent the long way to attack the station and deactivate the minefield. After this occurred Juno Fleet retook the station briefly. At this point, they knew they stood no chance against the new Dominion forces and evacuated the station, activating the auto-destruct to prevent hostile takeover. Upon return to the Alpha Quadrant the wormhole was collapsed and Smith was promoted to liason to Juno Fleet, based at Starfleet Headquarters, leaving Admiral DeScott in command at Anchorage.

NOTE: This history draws upon both STO canon and Juno Fleet history. A few conflicts are bound to occur but this will give a decent idea.

Yes, I was the one responsible for bringing Zeta to Junofleet. I brought DeScott into it awhile back and he was intrigued. Their Fleet was very inactive with no contact from the Admiralty.

Now we are making it a ground base on a terra-class planet in the Nedmakia system with the most advanced AI-controlled repair station that Junofleet can use.

Tallus, where is Nedmakia in relation to everything else?
Does Juno have a galactic map?

We have the Jackson, a Defiant-class and the Oracle, an Intrepid-class assigned to the base. Both can land so they do when not on patrol duties in the system.

We plan to find an Iconian gateway and be able to use it to attack the Borg, Dominion and Klingons.

We also plan on discovering that the Nedmakians still live, albeit in a regressed state but they have all their knowledge from the past.

I was making changes to the site when our hosting went suspended.

Thanks Admiral for the Juno history. An El-Aurian cityship... nice.

We do have a map available but I can't display it at the moment. If you look up any given map, we're located on the far side of Romulan/Klingon space near their respective borders. The Kailean wormhole is located opposite their space from us, within the Federation.

Our location does not prevent us from having missions to any other region of the galaxy, however. The Federation Transwarp Network (taken from STO) is pretty extensive by this point, allowing us to reach the edge of the Delta Quadrant in less than a day; further travel requires slipstream.

Yeah, I took a few pages out of Stargate Atlantis for the El-Aurian cityship. Designed it to fit the Atlantis legend yet be somewhat in line with the series in that it's a giant starship with an instantaneous teleportation device. It's largely unexplored and only Aleksandrov DeScott truly knows anything about the place; he doesn't share much information except on a need-to-know basis. Most of the technology aboard the ship require El-Aurian DNA to activate but conveniently many humans can use it as well (that's another backstory altogether. The Preservers created the El-Aurians, who then created the Humans, putting it simply).

An AI repair station? Sounds like you borrowed an idea from Star Trek Enterprise.

The Nedmakian system is less then half a ly from the Romulan Neutral Zone. On their side. But Teonniuss as a Nedmakian can claim the system as part of the Federation and with Zeta, Oracle, and Jackson there to defend it then the Neutral Zone can be rewritten.

I remember Agartha. It ended when I first came to Juno. When I first befriended Alex. And where I got the Antibus from. We should think about bringing it back...
