My goals
Recently I worked as a Production Assistant on a feature film. It told me two things.
1) I loved the environment of a film set but...
2) I had no interest in the labor of setting up the lights, sound, etc.
I found that my interest in film lies pretty much solely in two places. Creative and Editing. I still have a strong interest in cinematography though. But the cinematographer in the sense that I would design the lighting and be the camera operator.
Of course on a small film, then obviously I'd be doing that stuff on my own. Whether I be director, cinematographer, or whatever. But that's my films, and I have a bit more passion for that.
I suppose that I found that I have no interest in working on the crew of another person's film. Unless it is in some sort of creative aspect.
So my goals for right now in life are to go after a job in editing. Since I really do enjoy doing that, whether it's my film or not. I found great joy in editing a trailer for Andrew and Del's Pirate's of the Carribean film.
That's the job I think I'll go after to pay the bills and such. Then I'll try to pick up jobs as a videographer/cinematographer on the side, and also work on making my own films.
I think that seems like the best direction for me to take my life. I think if I had to work as a grip or something like that on other peoples films that I would get burnt out very quickly.
I think of myself as a very creative person. And I have a great passion for making movies, and I don't want to lose that. I want to make movies, but I want to make my own movies. I don't want to make other peoples movies.

New Possible Career Choice
So I've thought about this before, but a long time ago. With being in school, the major I'm in, and some of my work background I meet most the requirements for the creative writer, writer assistant, or the production intern positions at WWE.
My school, like most, has one of those internship/career centers. I was thinking that if I go to them and they help out perhaps I could get an internship at the least with WWE. Maybe working my way up production and hopefully even a writer with WWE. I think that would be an amazing job.
Plus with my pro wrestling background I might have a bit of a leg up on some of my competition, because not only can I think from an entertainment perspective on what would be good to see, I've also been in a ring. I've experienced first hand wrestling in front of a live audience. So I know how everything works already.
For further future plans, I'm also thinking this could be a bridge to film making. If I were to work for WWE perhaps I could get noticed more with my ideas for WWE films. I could move on to direct those and then go from there to direct other films.
I believe this a plan that I am going to start going for. I haven't had a good one of these for awhile so I think I'm really going to go after it!
