Gee this board seems so dead! That is why I decided to place this thread, to name your directorial choices.
My top choice is Tim Burton. To make it short, aside from being my favorite director he would be the one to bring justice to NGE. He won't get obbsessed with turning EVA into a "US" product and would actually turn it into something many people worldwide can relate to. He knows how to handle characters such as Rei and Shinji, and would love to see his take on religion with this. Plus he is a manga fan, and has been trying for years to adapt one into live action.
