Well, I have actually loved each single movie by M. Night Shyamalan, including The Village. I haven't seen Lady in the Water though. But again, so far he's only directed movies based on his own original stories, and also, he's filmed all his movies in Pennsylvania (where he lives).
And if you haven't seen 21 Grams...well, let me just tell you, it's one of my favorite movies. This movie and Amores Perros really set Gonzles Iņarritu apart from any other director out there. Both movies are nothing short of brilliant. I'm really looking forward to seeing Babel when it comes out in theaters. It has already given him the best director award at the Cannes film festival, which only raises my expectations.
