They didnt make a movie for the fans they made another Matrix movie. THe matrix is rooted to Plato's Cave, V for Vendetta- Art, Speed Racer- Matrix+Vendetta. I dont expect u to understand what i mean, u probally watched the movie for entertainment like everyone else did. But because i'm heading for filmmaking this stuff is important to me (its my religion), its the kind of knowledge u have to learn on ur own. No professor or text will teach it to you. Allegory of the cave? Yes, I know all about it- I learned from a widely praised Philosophy professor, and I knew about it for a while. And while I understand how it relates to The Matrix, I don't think it has anything to do with Speed Racer. There wasn't anything truly philosophical about this movie. Corporate greed- that's all I got.
