Goku is supposed to get into a fight with Aguandes and Fuller, probably from trying to talk to Chi-Chi. Chi-Chi feels sorry for him, and that's probably when she distances herself from Emi and the others. Yeah. But Goku's already Chi-Chi's "childhood friend," so it's not like he's some shy kid who's trying to work up the nerve or something.
