Linkin Park were my favourite band for years, I've seen them live and I've listened to Hybrid Theory and Meteora dozens if not hundreds of times each. Alt rock, hard rock, nu-metal, whatever. I'm playing it fast and loose with genres. Anyway, I guess you're right, I didn't notice the music in the trailer, but bear in mind that that was a trailer. A form of musical montage where a song like that is appropriate. In the film at large though, a track like that would wreak havok with the editing, distracting the viewers attention with a rhythm asynchronous with the shots. But screw it. It's not as if I expect coherence from Michael Bay anyway.
