While it's sad, disturbing, and wrong with what happened, doing the same things to these people won't help matters any. I think the best form of punishment in this case would be solitary confinement for life. No link to the outside world for the rest of their lives and let them rot in a cell. I can't believe that people can act in this way. It's even more disturbing this woman would actually try to bring her son back, only to try killing him again and then succeeding. I don't even want to imagine what was going through that kid's mind.
